One thing to add to this is that you receive double the candy from boss-pokémon and this can be especially big if you catch a shiny. You can get up to 40 candy from an epic shiny boss pokémon. I agree that farming candy in endless is probably a lot more relaxing, but also more beneficial, because you get to collect / encounter other pokemon (legendaries/shinies etc) more efficiently. Edit: you did actually mention the boss multiplier, mb.
Speaking of full potential. I started not too long ago and most of the eggs I hatched were Sobble. Rare shiny, got his passive, and got 3 egg moves. I need the last water type egg move T.T but besides that Sobble has been a MENACE! Still on my first run of endless with him at round 1433!
About Ambipom, I'm pretty sure skilllink does nothing for population bomb, since population bomn always hits 10 times, it only stops if it misses an instance of the 10 hits. So to have it always hit all 10 times you'd just need 2 wide lenses, and then technician is the better choice as it increases the accumulated base damage from 200 to 300. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong/missing something.
Thank you, quick and straight to the point, very comprehensive, presented well along with data, and even answered my question about Aipom since I heard it had a cool niche and I wanted to try it out because it was one of my first shinies, so Thank You!
Skill link+population bomb is not very good combo, because move work very different that another "2-5 hit" move, every successful hit will add another before miss or until 10th hit. You can just give a pokemon wide lins and it will destroy everyone. So better use technician fo another 50% boost
According to the wiki, Manaphy hatches from Manaphy Eggs at a 1/8 chance. Either you've been buying Manaphy Eggs with Phione candies (which will only ever spit out more Phiones) or you have spectacularly shit luck and I'm very sorry to hear that.
For mons that have a hard time farming their own candies, the following I found to be helpful, besides other carries: Classic mode (1-20 or 1-30), Staryu, Illuminate, Bouncy Bubble Illuminate acts like a lure. Bouncy Bubble is multi target. Water Stones are common enough in the loot table to make the farming faster with a stronger Starmie. I find the extra permanent lure to be helpful because sometimes RNG sucks and you just can't get those lures going for double battles. For ex, Pyuku is almost incapable of farming its own candies, making double battles important. And doing so in Endless Spliced with a good fusion still takes double the kills. Granted, it has Salt Cure as a rare egg move, but even then, doubles with a good carry might still be better. I agree that Endless is the best way to farm RANDOM candies. HOWEVER... for candy farming for a specific mon: One of the big problems I had when you mentioned Classic vs Endless is ignoring the thing I mentioned above. Just focus on early Classic, waves 1-30. It's not worth factoring in higher waves when discussing candy farming (unless you grab a Soothe Bell and you have a strong enough carry). In addition, easier double battle enabling is also a big factor in favor of Classic. I'd also argue in Endless that there comes a certain point that despite farming with 3 Soothe Bells, you'll probably start struggling to progress. And I think it's more time effecient to just quickly do another Classic instead of either restarting an Endless or trying to get your Endless team prepared for late game.
Great video, but I think you might've said that your pokemon fainting doesn't take away your candy progress. I belive they just changed it from -20 to -10.
Might be a silly question but does the cost reduction impact the amount of mons to candy ratio in battle? So if my Latias is cost reduced to be a 5 starter does it go by the original 7 starter or the now 5 starter?
Any tips on getting Hidden Abilities or how to tell if a mon has one? I am interested in trying out the Technician/Skill Link build but am unsure how to get an Aipom with the hidden ability.
Do you need to have the active pokemon faint enemy Pokemon to get friendship and candies, or is it okay to just have them in the party to passively earn?
They only get points towards the candies if they were present in the battle at any point (not counting the beginning of battle when it asks if you want to change Pokémon)
@PWzhouster you could always just splice leech seed onto burmy, unsplice then splice him wit leech seed to a garganacle wit sturdy an saltcure. Learn protect an keep infestation an do dot damage. Burmy can even solo eternatus lmfao for endless
@@PWzhouster What I do to farm the more DOT oriented, or just bad pokemon is; run a carry pokemon with a 2 target attack that ideally 1shots every wave (kartana with sharpness passive+razor leaf as example, there are better ones I don't own.) Spam lures in either endless or classic causing all battles to be double, and have that extra pokemon present for nearly every battle. You may have to be alittle smart about it, like in endless trying to avoid double battle paradox, which happen ever 50 floors. Something Project doesn't mention at all, but is super strong, is that giving a pokemon rare candy also gives them friendship candy. I believe it's 10 in classic, and 5 in endless. So you can also do this double battle strat, and spam rare candies into the pokemon you want to farm out.
prefer grinding for candies in endless cause it's safer and you can get the soothe bells and shiny charm required to get candies way easier. you need two times more KOs for a candy in endless but atleast at some point (hopefully early) you'll have all 3 soothe bells which will make getting candies not all that hard and kind of the same thing for the shiny charm except it's more luck based but also having way more bosses helps for getting that double candy multiply from bosses. there's some uses to grinding in classic but i'd rather not have to think much about the fights and not be close to as limited for the waves and also having extra points help for getting higher luck.
Best way to farm go endless take your farm Pokémon and some shinys and reset until you can catch a nincade before level 20. If it try to evolve stop the evolution until you got a dna splicer. Then go to team unlock evolution and fusion Your farm Pokémon as first with nincada. Then you have 5 slots in team don’t catch the a Pokémon until your fusion level up. After evolution you have your Pokémon x ninjask and you’re Pokémon x Shedinja with the same items like a 1 to one clone next go to the team and derision both. Then go to double battles with your farming Pokémon and his clone to get double bonbon points😘
