Damn. He sounded just as good in 2009 as he did in 1989. If only he could have been around to see the resurgence of 80s metal and how much respect it actually deserves. Instead grunge came around and Jani was ridiculed. Hopefully heaven wasn't too far away for him. R.I.P Jani.

I was at this show and sadly, it was the last time I saw Jani perform. To be honest, I was there for Great White and I didn't even think Jani would show up for this performance as he recently had some issues at other shows and just got a DUI a few days before this show. But he was there and he blew me away. It made me think that perhaps he had control over the demons but alas, it was not to be. A beautiful but troubled soul. Rest in peace Jani. You are missed more than you know.

Jani was in my opinion the most talented musician who ever lived. His music has always been there to get me through anything. His voice was the best in Heavy Metal and he wrote the best melodies. His album, "Ultraphobic" provides a glimpse into his mind and what he was going through, and I consider it, along with "Dog Eat Dog" to be the most underrated Metal albums of all time.

Heres a story, In 2000 I was 5 months pregnant with my son , my husband was 15 years clean and sober here in Charlotte NC. When my husband got a call to help Jani at the concert. He wouldn't go on stage because he was in bad shape. My husband and I drove to the concert and went on warrants bus to pray and help Jani to go on stage. After quite a bit of coffee and talking and praying. Jani sang that night , he insisted we stand side stage to support him. After he gave me a kiss on the cheek and rubbed my baby bump, he shook my husbands hand we said good bye. I hate he was so tormented and riddled with guilt. God Bless Jani

It comes to show that no matter who you are from a simple to a famous person, depression can and will destroy you! It can be overcome with proper diagnosis and treatment, but no one is immune! Yes it’s sad to see Jani loose his battle, but with his tragic loss I hope it inspires depressed individuals to realize that anyone can be affected no matter what your so called status is in life! It’s not a disorder just for the less fortunate! Please, realize there is hope and treatment to overcome! Rest In Peace Mr. Jani!

Depression is a lonely place, where it seems nobody can reach you. So you turn to substance abuse as relief from the pain despite it being temporary. I was quite sad when the news of Jani's passing started. Warrant was one of the many bands that I grew up on in the late 80's and early 90's along with Poison, Slaughter, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and many more. Jani, you're missed more than you can ever know but your legacy lives on through the music you wrote. Thank you for that! I was a fan from the moment DRFSR came out. Rock In Peace.

He really did have a unique voice. He was also one of the best songwriters ever, IMO. DRFSR was kinda corny, but "Cherry Pie" had songs like "Uncle Tom's Cabin", "Mr. Rainmaker", "Song and Dance Man". Jani really painted a picture with his songs. Even, the crass "Love In Stereo", is still a very clever way to explain the situation.

I don't usually put my private life out there......but, you've heard all the stories from different people, here's a little piece of mine, I was a addict for a long time, always chasing that High, when my money ran out, then I started pawning my musical instruments, when all that was gone, I started pawning stuff that wasn't mine, that went on for a long time, but 1 person didn't give up on me, even when they should have, and being honest I took things from that person to chase that high, and I hurt them by doing things like that time and time again, at one point I was sitting in my car and I literally said out loud to myself I guess I'm gonna be a drug addict forever, that was my plan, even though I really was a good person inside, I let that demon, addiction get the best of me so many times, long story short, that person I hurt so many times never gave up on me Never!!!, and its because of them that I over came addiction, and survived, and that person that never gave up on me is still with me today, my wife, so I don't know everything that was happening with Jane Lane, I just wish somebody would have kept on fighting and wouldn't have given up on him, it kind of seems he was drinking his pain away, and nobody was there, when he really needed them, anyway anyone out there going through something similiar to what I went through, sometimes you will have to fight the biggest battle you've ever fought to help someone you love overcome addiction, oh...... and thanks to that special someone that never left my side I've been clean and sober for years now.

Such a sad, deep and emotionally raw song but yet it's beautiful in a melodic way. I didn't know of Jani Lane and Warrant til about a month ago, sadly. He had one really great voice and I think I've tried overdosing myself on trying to find and hear all his song's!! He was definitely a very talented song writer, singer and guitar player!!!!! I work full time for a company stateside but they're also international but on my off time I write song's, my passion, so I know what goes into it and the emotions that are involved, especially when the lyrics are personal!!!! He was a great lyricist!!!!!!!! Shawn was EPIC as well on that keyboard and backing vocals!!!!! The lead guitarist was EPIC as well!!!!! Was that a Gibson LES PAUL'S guitar he was playing?!?! I can tell Jani's heart wasn't in this performance, he rushed thru it and I'm thinking he and Kim was having problems as he showed that after saying her name and the stair he gave her way as well as the stair near the ending. Sad though as Jani Lane was a genius lyric writer, singer and multi instrumentalist and when happy, an epic performer!!!!!! Much respect to him, RIP JANI LANE 💜💙💜💙

Huge talent. Monster talent. Even at the end here. I really miss Janie, and I had really hoped to hear more of his work. I hoped he would get himself healed, and straightened out, and then maybe even get back into the groove with Warrant. Huge talent, and just a lost soul. RIP Janie.

Jani was a really great guy the night we shared a small talk, told him "Great Show" and we shot Jose Quervo at the Backroom in Austin, Tx. Memory I will never forget. R.I.P.

If only he had been given the help we have today for mental health.
Maybe jani would still be with us and beaten his demons. And now be touring with Poison and Mötley Crüe .
Jani I hope where ever you are, I hope you have peace and now watch over your daughters.
Rest In Peace Jani and thank you for the memories 🤘😎🤘❤️
