Lyrics:
Darlin' I know you're sleepin'
But there's something I've just got to say
Wonder if you'll hear me
While you're dreamin'
You make a lifetime
Out of every day
Thanks to you now I know
All my dreams can come true
Blind Faith in you
I got
Blind Faith in you oh yeah
Your eyes keep things well hidden
Just a hint of what
You're feelin' inside
And the first day that I met you
I consider that the first day of my life
Thanks to you now I know
All my dreams can come true
You're Not Remembered For Cherry Pie Alone Jani, You're Remembered As A Great Vocalist, Of A Great Band, With Great Songs.

Absolutely
One of the most underrated song writers…the lyrics, the music on so many songs…one of the best!!!
I miss John took too early from us but we have his music
they sold more than 10 millions albums, how is it underrated???
Wow. Exactly🎉
Nobody. NOBODY. Could do a ballad like Jani and Warrant. Easily my favorite'80s metal band.
A lot of us were lucky enough to be born at the right time so we could listen to Jani lane and warrents music before Jani's untimely passing, there will never be another Jani lane ever. This is my fave song by them next to I saw red and uncle tom's cable
For sure brother!
Jani is a one-of-a kind songwriter and musician that will never be duplicated.
Absolutly
There’s something about that era of music and people that cannot be duplicated or captured by the current generation. Completely unique
We were young, that’s what makes it special. It holds memories for us…That’s what can’t be replaced. Otherwise, hair metal wasn’t rife with super talented dudes
Lol wrong
Yes no filters or Auto-Tune just pure good ass music
@@johncrumpler9950 before auto tune they used eq and other studio tricks
Truth !!!
Damn, I miss this man. Jani, we all miss you and your heartbreakingly beautiful lyrics.
So much more than Cherry Pie. So much more
I will never leave my 80s rock bands! They are forever ingrained in my memory! Best music ever !
Agreed
Amen to that
Mine too
C'mon people... if this man does not deserve to be in the Songwriters Hall of Fame nobody does! Grassroots movement to see it happen needs to happen!!!!
Go to MUSICIANS HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM page and watch ANY video, then comment to JOE CHAMBERS and nominate the singer you are referring to. Jani played a musical instrument so he qualifies for nomination. Joe Chambers WILL reply to you one way or the other. As long as the artist played at least ONE instrument. Jani played several.
who gives AF about any Hall of Lame?
It's not that no he doesn't belong in any hall of Fame... He fell in total love with a super hot chick that took every penny and cheated that's where he got his lyrics... Look at blind faith... They just got back together after warrant did an Asian tour and Bobby Brown got jealous because Jani could have any woman he could ever want but he loved her go do some research he would go months on tour without sex.. While she was in the states playing with . Nikki six.. axle rose.. and pretty much anyone else that has money... She broke his heart bad.. listen close to the song.. Bitter pill. That's when he finally realized that it was over and he had to swallow the bitter pill. It was downhill from there. He was a real man that loved a woman that didn't Love him back.. As men I'm sure some of us have been there...RIP Jani died broke and alone in a cheap hotel. So sad
@@bigedkc I know Bobbie tells us a different story. She said Jani cheated on her...? I watched Ex-Wives of Rock, she dated a man child and another dude Damon. Both cheated on her & she stayed!? One was 19! She did say she was on coke and meth @ the time. I believe that she was in love with Tommy Lee, personally. She downsides Jani alot until his death. I don't know about the rest? But she dated half of L.A. My brother partied with Jani at Strip clubs years ago. He passed away @ 47 just like Jani, in a cheap hotel after a chick took everything ! They both died @the same age, same way a few years apart. Jani went 1st. I never heard my brother say he cheated (Jani) on Bobbie. I know she is now sober. Their main didn't last very long, but they had a daughter. Jani went on to remarry. I would like to know the real story...she's not friends with Athena or Blue anymore.
Jami you are missed terribly! The best voice of hair metal!
I remember "dismissing" Warrant's lyrics as just a "metal party" band... but now that I listen... man! This guy's a romantic!
Jani never got the credit that was owed to him for being by far the greatest voice in the 80's era and his skills for writing lyrics R.I.P Jani Lane
one of the best rock vocalist..but it's his harmonies that gets me. very underrated there ..your missed my dude..wrote some great songs
RIP Jani Lane great singer songwriter 🎸 and piano player and so humble and kind and loved his fans
Warrant will never be Warrant without Jani! His voice and passion was what made them. Forever missing you Jani ❤
Jani Lane, your music impacted us all in the late 80's and it continues to do so. Heaven isn't too far away and that's where you are right now. The ONE above wanted you with HIM to sing to HIM and that's where you are singing about faith.
"And the first day thaaaat I met you I consider that first day. of my life"smooth ..great line
I never realized how beautiful he sang until he was gone. RIP Jani Lane.
This took me right back to being 17 years old.... I wanna go back so bad 😭😭😭

Same! I had this cassette on lock the summer of 91. Good memories indeed
I feel you. Just hold on to those memories for the rest of your life keep them in a heart. The music back then was definitely from the heart. From his home town. He was a true artist. He is still missed. His family still resides here.
So sad that most of the world will only think of "Cherry Pie" then the hear Warrant, Janie Lane, was an amazing , writer, singer and musician... so many still live, so sad that you had to leave us so soon... I miss you Janie, RIP.
Jani WAS Warrant. He was the talent. RIP Jani
Great band. Great memories. I'm so glad that was my generation
+donna cater ---Listen to the 70's!
yes im sorry times have changed so much that people simply dont even know what real music is cause the industry brain washes them with these shitty modern stuff...i was just 8 when the 90s ended and still i remember every single thing back then was so much better you could actually listen to music now good god if you find something decent its a miracle

True
One of the greatest singer/sogwriters of the 80's.Greatly missed among fans of great music.
Still holds up today, amazing ballad
Born in '59 I got to experience the awesome 70's in my youth and incredible 80's in my early adulthood. Was an amazing time for music. Many wonderful memories! Wish I could go back again!!!
So emotional and beautiful. This ballad always makes my heart cry. Thank you, Jani Lane. Rest In Peace, my friend. We all miss you.

I absolutely love this song! There is nothing like 80's music I'm so glad I'm from that generation! May rock NEVER die!
Jani you have no idea how much you are missed!!!! 💔😭
This song just makes me want to rip my heart out, it's just so hauntingly beautiful. Every time I hear his sweet voice and the passion he sings with, I still can't believe he is gone. I feel so lucky to have seen them a couple times, because the world truly did lose someone amazing when he left us. We will never, ever forget you Jani Lane. RIP and sing to us from Heaven!
Beautifully said, Beth! Absolutely perfect! He was amazing.
Big Talk Forever 🎸✨
He really was a great singer, songwriter and performer.Saw Warrant open for Motley Crue at Dean dome(Raleigh)in' 89.He was really energetic actually carried the guitar player on his shoulders during one of their songs.Good times👍
Sad. ..to soon RIP Jani
Same!
We saw them at our fair. We went down to stand by the stage. He went in the crowd...and stood in my seat. Figures. Lol
Miss you Jani. You we're one hell of a song writer.. you are remembered for a lot more than cherry pie. Love you, brother.you made a difference in my life.. R.IP.
Hall of fame!
This must be the most under represented band in the history of Rock n' Roll!
My hat is off to Warrant, Thank you for the music!
I was born in 2000 and my dad played warrant and many other bands like them and I couldn't get enough of it. I'm 17 now and I'm still in love with the old warrant and poison and those other kinds of bands because I grew up listening to just this
Miss you Jani, you deserve to be in the Songwriter hall of fame! You're truly missed. But your singing, videos and writing shine through. Warrant is still kicking butt for you. ❤️
I don't fit in in today's world. I will always be stuck in the 80s when music was talent and girls were not snobs like today's. I MISS GIRLS WITH BIG HAIR AND STONED WASHED JEANS RIPPED AND TIGHT Rip JANI. Greatest singer and writer of all time. His music saves me every day from giving up my battle with addiction and custody of my daughter. I was so blessed to grow up in the 80s every weekend at hair band concerts
You will never be forgotten Mr Jani Lane .. it’s coming up to 10 years since you left this world..
🕯✝️🎸🌹❤️
80s was and will always be the best genre of music
RIP Jani. I'll forever love your music. Still one of my favorites.
Anyone that would have anything negative to say about Jani...just isn't close to being in the same era...He was a natural man..Rest in Peace brother 2:36
Jani had a beautiful voice & his songwriting was 2nd to none. I'm 59 yrs old, & when there's a concert featuring all the great bands of my era come to town, you'll see me there, still rockin' after all this time!
Oh, so because you're 59 we should be proud of you for attending a concert? You're missing the whole point there big fellar.
That last frame... 3:31 ...the best memory of Jani ever!
So great it was caught on film!
Sad…
@@paisleyprincess7996 totally it's heartbreaking.
If he had have just hung on until now.. there's a huge revival with '80s music at the moment.. withal us 80s kids finally having grown up and got careers and having disposable incomes...
There's a tour right now going gangbusters with Def Leppard poison and Motley crew!
I could totally see warrant in a line up like that.
.. I mean not now obviously. But had Janie stuck around...
🙆♂️.
...😢
😢😢😢
Miss his music and talent. Rest in peace Jani
So much soul in his singing.....
I remember seeing Warrant down at Camp Lejeune back in 1989 when I was in the Marine Corps they opened up for Britney Fox. What a show! Jani Lane was such high energy running through the crowd singing. What a loss of such a great singer and human being.
Great to hear the younger crowd likes this , these bands could play and they wrote their own music unlike today , this music will always be heart felt and timeless !!!!!!!
Near the end when Jani jumps in the crowd damn near put a tear in my eye, no shit that was who he was. ONE OF US. RIP JANI 8/11/18
May be my favorite Warrant song. Jani was such a talent. RIP bro.
I met JL in Columbia,SC 1988 after the Warrant/Crue show. Got his autograph & left in my dash for years. Missed, but never forgotten. You rocked the world Sir 😓
was at that show myself
Still a Great Power Ballad. Miss Jani Lane's unique Talent.
One of the best metal ballads ever !
8o's brings all the memories and the music back beautiful and never forgotten Rip Jani❤❤
What an awesome and exciting time this was for music. The bands rocked like no other, had platinum-selling records, hit singles, sold-out arena tours, they were all over the radio and MTV, etc. Nowadays, who's broken up, who died, who's carrying on with scab members, albums are out-of-print, radio and MTV won't touch them anymore, and the list goes on and on. It's sad to see what's become of the bands that provided the soundtrack of my youth. The age of digital downloading only dragged things down further. The glory days of this kind of music have been relegated to the history books, and what's replaced them as the flavor-of-the-month is beyond pathetic. It's downright depressing to think about sometimes.
Uh, no, illegal downloading didn't take this genre from the spotlight. The music industry did, not to mention the consumers. Times change, nothing's gonna be hot shit forever. One minute it was hair metal, the next it was grunge, then punk rock, then nu-metal...Things keep moving and it's a good thing they do.
Your right....we will always sites like you tube that will preserve our youth sound tracks...today's doesn't touch the music that we listened to.
6672rock couldn't agree with you more
80's was the best
You are stating a fact. I am 43. Went to 90 concerts in the 80s. My God" was music such a life lifting gift from above. Pure talent. My hair bands poured out soul in each and every song. RIP
No one writes a ballad like Jani Lane :)
It ends with I think you think I do....he did...RIP Jani
No One & So True,,, Not this Damn Crap Of today,,Thanks
I'm 48 and still admire him like in my 20's
I miss the 80’s -90’s when music was awesome, and Warrant was one of my favorite bands. If i had a time machine, the mid 80’s and early 90’s would be my final destination. God Bless ya Jani and all the Down Boyz ! Rest easy my brother !

@@awatchman5945 Warrant. Cool, i like 'em too.
I saw Warrant live in New Orleans!!! 17 years ago it was on of the best days in life for more than one reason. I got to shake the hand of the lead singer and the blew ratt and Tesla away!!! Not even close!!!
I forgot all about this song.... I legit got goose bumps when I heard this song start... Miss you Jani... Sept 2021...
Nobody I mean nobody could ever sing a ballad like jani lane such a monstrous vocal talent such a tragedy he had to endure one that was for him sadly just too much to overcome and it enevitibally led to his dad and unfortunate demise just like chris cornell I couldn't imagine anyone else ever singing his songs man they sure helped me get through some cold and dark times in my life r.i.p.buddy you will be missed
My Favorite Band ever!!! I'm almost 50 and have talked to people that are old enough to be my kids and they still love Warrant.
I'm so glad I saw you Jamie lane and the eighties at the ritz in New York City your voice is so great you sing so awesomely we all love you Jamie Rest in peace my friend!
I seen Warrant open for Motley Crue Dr. Feelgood tour, they played all the Dirty Rotten stuff and everyone was standing for Warrant...they were just as big as Motley!! I was 14 years old, my older brother brought me with all his friends and girlfriends. Rock music was at the peak of popularity at this time. I've been a huge fan of Jani Lane and Warrant since DRFSR.
80s was THE best years of my life. Jani lane was the greatest of all time. He always sung from his heart!! RIP JANI

This song always gives me chills and makes me cry. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He deserved so much, I just wish he believed it too.
Such an underated band and SO such and underated vocalist and song writer. Big influence on me since I was a kid with my first guitar, and practicing singing to your first two albums gave me the confidence to be a lead vocalist. Thank you for all of that and R.I.P Jani Lane

I was listening to this cassette headed to Disney World on a high school band trip after it came out. Ended up meeting the girl that I started dating and married on that trip. Every time I hear these songs, they take me back to those great memories! Thanks Jani!!
I just had a Warrant morning this morning and had forgotten all their great hits! I was in Jr. High and High school with the bassist of this band. My girlfriends went crazy when he would bring tickets to school to see his band playing at the Troubadour etc. Guess I needed to reconnect with this era and give these guys some play time on my list of lists!
How could you have forgotten?
Jerry Dixon! Man That man was hot…of course your girlfriends went nuts. I know I did!
How DID you forget?
Living here in California Hollywood nights and being 18 Years old ohh what times.. Such a long list of hairbands that always followed my heart still today thank you for the memories ✌🏻️
One of the greatest singer in the world. We all miss u Jani
lived and bled this music. I must admit back then Mr. Lane was rolled into the big hair ball of those bands but up until his death his voice and his talent had stood the test of time.
He died a troubled man and for that I feel sympathy.
Kills me that this beautiful and talented man died alone and so young..RIP Jani..we all love you still..you are Immortal through your music..your Legacy and Legend..😭😭💝💝🎼🎶🎵🎧🌹💐🎯😍
Nothing can replace the memories these songs hold for us. Jammie, you will always be missed. Thank you for leaving an imprint on my heart.

80s was the best part of my life! Absolutly! I grow up listening the great rock of this years and i still loved even today! Jani was a great singer and amazing frontman of an amazing rock band! And i will continue to listen and love all of his song! Thank you guys!!!
Jani Lane’s voice was made for singing ballads like this one. Love his voice, miss him. #RIP Jani
Such a great underrated ballad. Great lyrics
Music like this needs to make a comeback. Of course it will unfortunately never be the 80's again, but I can't believe there is no talent out there in this world that cannot make music like this. My guess is the record companies won't put this kind of music out because it is not "popular" according to them. Little do they know that if a good band was introduced and played good music, they would be swimming in the money.
Every time I hear this song, it brings tears to my eyes. Missing Jani Lane.
Wonderful voice, nothing else to say
One of my favorite bands of that hair band era...still remember the lyrics to this day! I grew up in an awesome time for music!!🤘🎵🎶🤘❤
I'm so glad I got to see Warrant with Jani Lane. Whenever I would meet him he was kind enough to sign something for me. He was a great man. R.I.P.
