@@barbaradumas1183 thank you for commenting this! Always thought it sampled something. Thought it might’ve been Marvin Gaye’s voice from “Trouble Man”. They sound very very similar
When this came out back on September 10.1990 I was living in Chicago & a month later I would move to Memphis, Tennessee. The last episode aired May 20,1996, the week before I graduated high school on May 26,1996. GREAT memories
It premiered five days before my Mom's birthday, and she was ready to have me where I came into this world on October 24th, 1990, living the good life in NYC and Long Island. The show ended at the end of my year of kindergarten! Man, 1990 was a good year when it came to pop culture, nostalgia, etc. I count it as not being a year in the 90's or the 80's, but a transition year where it was both the 80's and 90's all throughout. I would say 1991 is when the 90's really started.
Oh man, this brings back too many memories, mostly sad because I was always sad when the Fresh Prince of Bel Air finished. Great series, there's nothing that can become eminent to it.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is a production of The Stuffed Dog Company & Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment in association with NBC Productions, and is Distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
different world, wayanz, cosby, bernie mac, cedric, steve harvey, all that, kenan and kel, smart guy, sister sister etc Tons of good stuff and also seinfeld
Dunno who the 31 people that disliked this are or what was going through their minds but they need to get it together because this instrumental is tough! Also the person that put this together, kudos on a fine job putting it together!
man i swear a part of me learned rhythm and bounce from Will dancing and playing drums on the show. Will Smith is a true legend and that show was magical. Rip James Avery.
I was born only in 1997 around when the series ended and have to say although I only recently got into the series (although I've known about it for years) I do the same exact thing when the reruns are shown! I just sit there enjoying that amazing 90's hip hop beat with those freeze frames.
Thank you South Califa for this because all I ever see is the opening credits theme (which I love) but I have always looooooooooooooooved the ending theme to Fresh Prince of Bel Air since I was kid. The layers of that beat, the percussion, etc. I remember I used to sit frozen in front of my TV when the ending credits music used to come on with Will, Carlton, Uncle Phil, etc. were in freeze frames Good times.
If you watch this show on TBS in the mornings, they replaced the original opening theme with this one, and they shortened the entrance video to just a few clips.
i wish to have this in HQ, i'm so hooked again on the fresh prince, it's so my childhood..and still rocking...i love this song..so new jack swing style
gotta love those 90's snares and basslines
correct, he's considered as the founder
+mrbrockpeters yes this is that new jack swing style ,my favorite genre ever
+Ammer Reduron That bassline is originally from the 80s lol.. The song was created in 88/89
sounds like a dx 7 bassline.. very typical sound

I've been saying it for a while to everybody that the scene interludes and ending songs are much better than the opening. God bless Jazzy Jeff
Andrew Coates Youre right. For a lot of shows that seems to be the case. I wonder why though.
quincy made this beat tho.

Agreed, ending>opening, hands down
Perhaps one of the best closing themes of the 1990’s and there were a lot of great closing themes in the 1990’s.
Hearing this brings me back to the early 90's when I used to watch this show on NBC on Monday nights with my sisters.
That organ lick is sick!
There is an extended version of this.......this is the greatest day if my life.
