I did like Captain Marvel (character and movie), and I don't think they took more "time" to release Captain Marvel 2 than the other sequels. Doctor Strange came out THREE years before CM, Thor 3 came out in 2017 (2 years before), Ant-Man 2 and Black Panther also came out 1 year before CM. Sure they had to change some things they must have planned for her character in 2019 (because a small but very vocal demographic hated the movie and the character), but I'm sure they've done a good job with it. And adding Monica and Kamala are great choices imo. Plus the Skrull stuff they're gonna add in a few months. All of this makes me think of Daisy Johnson. I know the odds of them adding her in The Marvels are small, but it would make so much sense considering where her character ended up when Agents of SHIELD finised its run.
Btw about this whole "Marvel (mostly) including LGBT characters of colour" thing, it hadn't crossed my mind in probably a decade. When there was the first "wave" of new shows with LGBT characters of colour it surprised me at first. In the comics, Carol Danvers has been in a relationship with Rhodey. Not with a woman. People have shipped her in books with Jessica Drew. In the films, based on Brie Larson’s relationship with Tessa Thompson, people want to ship Carol with Valkyrie or Maria Rambeau (circa the first film.)

I can see how many didn't like the move, but I wish people wouldn't dismiss the character entirely because she's amazing and doesn't deserve have the movie ruin so many years of comics.
Well, in Ms Marvel, Zoe's crush on Nakia is not reciprocated. So its the case of a white LGBT character. Also, I think a lot of people were just okay with Captain Marvel and a small vocal subset voiced their hate 'cause it did make over a billion after all.
as a film and character it wasn't rubbish but not great either. A lot of people are kinda meh about it because the film was kinda lost in the endgame hype
My favorite marvel gay relationship is white well white and green Wiccan and hulkling, but there aren’t a ton in the comics that I’ve read so far so I don’t have a basis of comparison but in the mcu they have been focusing a lot on lgbt representation in minority cultures which I think is awesome as long as it’s not a shoe horn and still makes sense. I hate when they change a character to seem woke instead of just writing a new fleshed out character who can be more relatable to the population you are trying to reach.

I love Captain Marvel. The movie grossed over a billion dollars so a lot of people spent money to watch it. I am captivated by Kamala Khan and I can't wait until I can start watching the show. I think that the reason why Ms. Marvel doesn't have elasticity power is that the Fantastic Four is coming to the MCU and one of the '4', Reed Richards, has the same power. They don't like duplication.
I also didn't enjoy Captain Marvel and i don't remember anyone in my circle going gaga over it either. Just clarifying here I don't have anything against Woman Superheroes, I loved Wonder Woman the first one. It's just that whatever Marvel did with Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and the movie just didn't mesh well together at all. I never cared for her character as much as i did for other superheroes. Having said that this does look exciting and we'll have to see how this one pans out. Also Blinding lights was the best choice for this trailer my god it goes well.
What is with the Captain Marvel hate? Her movie made over a billion dollars and the audience score polled by cinemascore was an A, the same that widely accepted beloved films like Civil War and Winter Soldier got. I’m starting to think the hate campaign against the movie and Brie Larson has warped some people’s objective perception of the film. Also, even if you don’t love Captain Marvel the way Kamala does, maybe in the course of the show, why she loves Carol will show you or remind you reasons to love Carol as well. It’s all about perspectives even if you don’t relate. As for the sequel being so late, I think you’re forgetting that a lot of plans got shuffled when COVID hit, a lot of the films would have aired much earlier got pushed by which meant everything down the line got pushed back too. There’s only a 4 year gap between Captain Marvel in 2019 to the Marvels in 2023, that’s even less delay than Doctor Strange having his first movie in 2016 and Multiverse of Madness only coming out this year in 2022 and that’s a 6 year gap but no one is talking about why that delay was so long. Or that Strange’s movie has numerous other heroes/characters involved in it just as much as The Marvels does. There is an incredible amount of unfair scrutiny pushed onto Captain Marvel in a way that other male led superhero films just don’t get.
Captain Marvel wasn't as bad as some people say. But it was bad. Boring. What got it so much hate wasn't the movie itself, but it's feminist marketing.
You are right Jaby! It's on purpose. You can also find this in Falcon & Winter Solider (to make people realise how the perspective changes everything about Black community)
Yes, you're absolutely right Jaby about that. But one correction, Carol Danvers is straight and always has been straight. Since 2014 she has a relationship with James Rhodes, Warmachine. Big fan of your channel guys and I hope you guys gve the character Carol Danvers a second chance
I didn’t relate or resonate with the Captain Marvel movie BUT I still REALLY liked the movie, HOPEFULLY Ms Marvel gives some information or hints of information to WHY CAROL IS KEEPING SECRETS!!!
I think that one of the military people in the trailer could be director hayward and, in the show we find out he's a skrull and, that's why he and, his people are going after kamalla since it's kree related powers
I heard the rumors, that Pakistani Actor "Fawad Khan" might have an appearance in the movie too, Fawad Khan, also worked in Bollywood Projects too, he's quite famous and world's sexiest men alive, as per
Well I think because a lot of the white characters from the early days (like 50s, 60s) , they wanted to keep the same. Because there would be a lot of backlash from people. Who would be like “oh they weren’t that way in the early comics why are they changing stuff” Ice-man from the X-men is the rare exception. Where as now it’s more “acceptable” so to speak to introduce characters of colour, they have the freedom to dictate who they love. As they had no prior identity or even existence.
Also there in on day at a time The new one on Netflix there were a couple fat came from different religious belief systems one being catholic and being Jewish

I didn't like it when jaby was so receptive towards the captain Marvel movie. I agree there were some issues with the direction but the acting skills of @brielarson were amazing
To me her powers really looks like Green lantern! because the way how she used it it really looks like the energy powers is over her body and not inside of her if I make sense!!!🤔
Green Lantern can make anything and those energy projections that he can touch come out of the ring. For Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel, energy projections come out her hand. There are exceptions though. We don't actually know what else she can do with her powers other than makes discs for her to step on, make big fists and make a shield that actually looks like it is made of magical crystals or glass (in the new trailer not alone, you can see the shattered shield). Also another thing, she makes the discs as she walks on air. This means those discs magically appear wherever she steps so it is not like she has to balance on them or else she'll fall.

@@matthewriley2178 did it get good audience score tho?.... i dont think so.....
uh, if youre on twitter, captain marvel definitely has her fans. and they are very vocal. good for them.
I think studio’s depiction of POC LGBT+ characters could be an effort to appeal to as many minority demographics as possible OR they’re attempting to highlight intersectionality, which would result in the same thing: LGBT+ characters also being of some other minority group(s)
4:00 that's true of the winner of the NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday at Phoenix, Chase Briscoe. He grew up idolizing Tony Stewart, who drove the #14 car for many years. Chase always dreamed of being a race car driver, just like Tony. Well, not only did Chase become a race car driver, but he won his first Cup Series race in the #14 car, which is owned by his hero, Tony Stewart!
Denvers didn't have any time for anything because she is written to help at the last minute. Denvers is an OP character. Having her from the beginning would solve any crisis in 2 minutes.
I just want Marvel to release blinding lights remastered version
Jaby the song we hear in the background is "Blinding Lights" by Weeknd ...not a 80's song ffs
Easy mistake to make, the song has a 80's feel.
That shirt Kamala is wearing with the female heroes is a reference to Beyoncé “Formation.” The lyrics, “Okay ladies now let’s get in formation.” Even the stance the heroes are in echos “Formation” Super Bowl choreography.
Jaby, who told you we don't love captain marvel? She's my favorite avenger
And Captain Marvel made a billion dollars so Jaby you're tripping.
damn...
plus captain marvel mainly made a billion due to it releasing before endgame and being marketed as something VERY important for endgame...
Great reaction! 😊😊😊I like when Jaby and Achara discuss things that usually seem obvious, but when they get deeper into it, then you understand something more/ better...... I was wondering why did have so many people trouble relating to Brie Larson's Captain Marvel.
I noticed that to but at about 60 % an older dc show had an black and white husbands all I remember is that the black guy was mr Terrific
I love the Capitan Marvel comics and have way before the movie so I completely understand Kamalah as a fan so, I'm loving it.
@@AT32556 Yeah, I agree. I just feel Jaby overblew and exaggerated the negative reception.
I hate when they change a character to seem woke instead of just writing a new fleshed out character who can be more relatable to the population you are trying to reach.
read more comics. alters, guardians of the galaxy, the authority, xmen, etc etc. superman is bi with an asian boyfriend, robin is bi and dating a white dude, moondragon and phyla vell are white, iceman is hoing it up with all the white dudes
You missed the part, that LOKI is bisexual too
True, kinda, bisexual isn't the right word for it but I can't remember what the right word is so I'm just gonna agree.
@@Nemisis007 gender fluid ?? Loki was a huge misrepresentation
They called Loki “gender fluid” and went on to make a “female Loki”. Doesn’t make sense
Also, Loki’s ex bf was supposed to be the one to hit Loki in the loop scene why cut it out and change it ?
I love marvel movies and shows but superheroes are for all people- Stan lee
@@imtheguy3886 because if u show Loki's ex bf nobody is gonna understand whats going on? Also in Norse mythology loki cuts off Sif's hair so it was a lil reference to that too
@@AT32556 yeah I understand but it was supposed to be a emotional scene for like . It was supposed to show how he used and betrayed his ex boyfriend and reflect the change he has gone through .
@@imtheguy3886 | Yes genderfluid that's it, what exactly doesn't make sense? Can you elaborate? I might be able to help out.
The song is called blinding lights by The Weekend

I loved captain marvel … she’s the best . Yes we did feel connected and idk what jaby is babbling about
"we" speak for yourself just like jaby is speaking for himself please.
@@ariyansingh3108 he wasn't speaking for himself "people" doesnt exactly mean 'me'
@@imtheguy3886 he's not incorrect though, people accounts for more than 1 person and in relation to Captain Marvel he's correct. More than 1 person didn't like the film. However if he said "we disliked the film" it's more inclusive and suggests everyone"
@@ariyansingh3108 no dude . no one thinks that way . by we i meant people i know .my brother loves her . Everyone in my circle loves her . i never see the hate outside of twitter .
@@ariyansingh3108 agreed
I honestly dont see why so many people hate Captain Marvel I liked her movie and it was ok but people really just say they dont like her and not have an actual real reason why I think they're subconsciously just trying to keep up the trend of hate and dislike that they had against her before the movie came out and that really doesn't make and since eathier if they just dont like the movie I understand that but there are people who hate everyime they see her for no reason
Carol's lover is Rhodey in the comics.
The Song is Blinding Lights(2020) by Weekend
You gotta try and put yourself in her shoes. A young girl seeing Captain Marvel go 1v1 vs thanos is probably very inspiring.
Wait, was there a live broadcast of the whole Endgame battle on tv? Kudos to the cameraman who got to capture it on camera.
@@Noid1220 that cameraman is the true hero!
6:45 yup jaby got it right . kamala's love interest is Miles Morales who we might see soon in the next spiderman trilogy.
@D Mckenzie in the comics kamala and miles dated so yea they will be together in future in the mcu
The background track of the trailer really reminds me of Aha - Take On Me.
React to Canadian Lad's new breakdown of The Batman
I also didn't enjoy Captain Marvel and i don't remember anyone in my circle going gaga over it either. Just clarifying here I don't have anything against Woman Superheroes, I loved Wonder Woman the first one. It's just that whatever Marvel did with Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and the movie just didn't mesh well together at all. I never cared for her character as much as i did for other superheroes. Having said that this does look exciting and we'll have to see how this one pans out. Also Blinding lights was the best choice for this trailer my god it goes well.
Sentry/void can destroy her
What is with the Captain Marvel hate?
He's not hating bruh, he just explained why he doesn't identify with her as much or appreciates her character as much as iron man or black panther etc
her movie made a billion dollars cause it was released just like a month before endgame
You are right Jaby! It's on purpose. You can also find this in Falcon & Winter Solider (to make people realise how the perspective changes everything about Black community)
Jaby don't know if you'll see this but check out 1983s Love is a Battlefield by Pat Benatar. Gives me the same vibes as The Weekend.
😂 I love how Jaby really disbelieving anyone love cap marvel 😂😂👍
SO MUCH WAITED FOR THIS
Hey Jaby, the song you are thinking of is "Always" by Erasure, 🦄🦄
The song is Blinding Lights by The Weeknd
Hey Jaby.. plz react on Agent's of SHIELD.. All seasons... Will like to see that coming from you... Thank you
Yes, you're absolutely right Jaby about that. But one correction, Carol Danvers is straight and always has been straight. Since 2014 she has a relationship with James Rhodes, Warmachine. Big fan of your channel guys and I hope you guys gve the character Carol Danvers a second chance
You are absolutely correct about the casting minorities to play LGBTQ+ characters Jaby. They do it allot in Netflix series/movies
I'm glad her stretchy powers are intact.
I didn’t relate or resonate with the Captain Marvel movie BUT I still REALLY liked the movie, HOPEFULLY Ms Marvel gives some information or hints of information to WHY CAROL IS KEEPING SECRETS!!!
Its "blinding lights" the song its a good song.
On point Jaby...even I don't feel connected to cap marvel.
I DID!!! I came out of the cinema hall and I was like CAPTAIN MARVEL IS THE BEST!!!
4:49....now i know where the thumbnail is from
Well I think because a lot of the white characters from the early days (like 50s, 60s) , they wanted to keep the same.
I don't like Captain Marvel Movie either, but the Charecter is Awesome in the Comics, for Baby Jaby 17:46 She saved Iron Man and Iron Man saved the Universe, there was a purpose server before he sacrifice his life to death...
That's a really good observation about lgbtq interest being minority.
Fun fact the actor who plays as father of miss Marvel (Kamala) is same actor who plays doctor strange in Hindi voice dubbing
16:08 - I am one of those who DID love the Movie and Like Carol Danvers as well. Maybe I'm a minority myself, or maybe only the LOUDEST voices 'hate' Her.
It is a 80s song made by The Weeknd he made a whole 80s album
15:21 Understandable man lol.
I like how many tabs are open in the computer
Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan is in this series too do im very very interesting in what role he plays...they haven't shown him in the trailer...
I have heard even farhan akhtar is in this movie is he?
@@Azx12345 not sure about him bit with Fawad marvel released that info and he confirmed he had filmed for it in a recent interview

Marvel Studios attempt to respect the essence of their comic book characters.

We love captain marvel, jaby.
I really loved and liked they referencing Marvel's Avengers video-game because that's how the different the storytelling was. I super loving the Most Anticipated and Must-play video-game.
You guys should react to Severance it's such a good show
Jaby.. apart from the ur reaction.. why you set up blue colour everywhere in your video.. :) :D it looks classy...
I liked Captain Marvel. Haha I feel like Jaby got interested in Ms. Marvel after it was broken..down..to…him, rather than when he actually watched the trailer.
I didn't like it when jaby was so receptive towards the captain Marvel movie. I agree there were some issues with the direction but the acting skills of @brielarson were amazing
Why you guys didn't react to Hawkeye break down?
I'm surprised that jaby didn't know the weekend blinding lights lol
19:26 it's blinding lights ain't it
I'm not sure who else noticed that the period in Ms. Marvel is the same star insignia on the bracelets.
Love the shirt 😊
