Trains on the Point Defiance Bypass (First Full Day!)

Nearly 4 years after the infamous Amtrak 501 derailment, the Point Defiance Bypass has reopened for revenue service, cutting down journey times between Seattle and Portland by around 7 minutes, as opposed to the older route along Puget Sound. Along with the shorter travel time is a newly renovated station in Freighthouse Square in Tacoma, only a couple blocks away from the old station that will be soon be used for Greyhound bus service. a lot because of the downgrade in scenery, but the “new” station is most certainly an upgrade
