The thing I will miss from Genie+ is the 120 minute rule where you could stack up rides every 2 hours no matter if you have scanned a ride or not. I think this can be overcome for by those staying on site but at some point even 7 days might not be enough to get certain rides.
On the 27th (like 4 days ago) we did rope drop at HS>Epcot>MK through Happily ever After. It got to 96 with a feels like 106. Such a long brutal day, but it was still awesome. New system is terrible for park hoping and you don't get to ride as much and you end up paying a lot more because you have to get ILL's to ensure you ride what you want. The new system coupled with the changes to DAS is just terrible. I'm %100 sure Disney will be changing stuff for sure.
This is my sweat level 9/12 months here I feel like. My body was actually made for someplace like the UK, but I live on the surface of the sun instead LOL As a local, we won't be purchasing lightning lane on a weekly basis, but I still really appreciated the work you put in and it was helpful to see the current popularity of certain rides. I have had a DAS pass for the past 2 years but no longer qualify under the new system... which was frankly a very uncomfortable conversation, and the alternatives they offered were not great for a person's dignity. But what can you do? Not my company! I guess we will be just trying to figure out how we can catch certain rides with lower lines or I just might not be able to ride with my fam on everything :/ Maybe a video on doing the parks without any lightning lanes! For locals or visitors without the budget. I'm sure that doesn't sound so fun, but maybe do it between December and March! lol
I aim to enter the parking area 90 minutes before opening time. So if it’s 9am opening, I try to arrive at the parking gate at 7:30 which usually means entering the actual park by 8am and I have some time to take a few pics grab coffee and be at the ropes by 8:30ish
No it just saved our original pass for space and then let us get another and we could use that one at any point in the day when it came back up. Not sure if that’s always what will happen just yet but that’s what ours did
@@livingbydisney thanks for your answer. So you kind of got a bonus pass by the sounds of it if you got to keep the space pass plus book a new one. Not as good as an anytime multiple experience pass though imo, still a decent recovery.
I usually prefer to go to magic kingdom in the afternoon. Planning to do a rope drop/morning just to ride Tiana’s since there’s no Stand by but now I’m thinking I might just forget about Tiana’s cuz even with Vq and lighting lane that ride goes away so fast lol!😫😂
There is another Virtual Queue opening at 1pm too so you could try that one for Tiana’s. Just keep in mind for that one you need to be inside the park to join it.
You can hold one virtual queue at a time. But if you joined one at 7am and ended up riding in the morning then you’d be able to try for the other ride when the virtual queue reopens at 1pm so that’s a way to get two in one day.

You didn't get a multiple experience pass in addition toaking a new LL like the older systems when space went down?
No it just saved our original pass for space and then let us get another and we could use that one at any point in the day when it came back up. Not sure if that’s always what will happen just yet but that’s what ours did
