Thanks for this video! Worked as advertised with about an hours work. I knew there was a recall for the wiring harness and it seemed daunting to work on it ( I hate anything to do with wires or cutting wires ). All good for my 2005 Chevy Aveo. Thanks again.
I had the same problem, but was hesitant to cut wires. Before I take it to a mechanic and pay over $100/hr for who knows how many hours for them to figure it out -I decided to try it. Sure enough it actually worked! Thank you for giving us this video!
Hate this car so much, rear brake drums/wheel bearings are 1 piece brake cylinder always leaking and so many electrical issues...this helped a lot thanks man I appreciate you for making this in depth best vid about the s101 pack
you just saved me a lot of time and frustration 😆 my nephew has exact Same car and Same problem, I soldered all the wires according to your color code and it works!!! I didn't just do the 4 brown ones, I did all and got rid of the burnt connector thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I can not just keep of this video that helped me without spending a penny. My care model is exactly as this care Chev aveo T200 2008 model, i confirm that i just fixed mine today following these steps. Thanks alot for the video👍👍👊
Thanks friend. Consult, what cables, would you have to splice to solve the problem of the dashboard lights. Surely my problem comes from this splice package, since the fuses are in good condition
@@erickfunk2557 Thanks friend, with the instructions of that forum, I managed to solve. In my case, I only eliminated the group of wires that are carbonized in the splice package and used Wago terminals for the splice (they are very practical, since they make the contact internally. Thank you very much.
Hi I have 2007 chevy aveo but license plates I replace bulb but still won't light up, can't seen to find the fuse for that license plate maybe you can tell me thank you
@Erick Funk in a sea of diy videos amounting to crap yours is an absolute gem. I can't praise this video enough. Phenomenal. I might be freezing my butt off outside at 3 in the morning so that this car is functional for work in a couple of hours but I'm not alone. I have a competent guide who can articulate exactly what the problem is, how to solve it and is slow and methodical in the procedure as to not miss any crucial details. Please drop me a line, I'd love to buy you a coffee as thanks, or a beer if that's more your speed. Thanks for taking the time to make this. What a legend.
So the wires that you sodered back together don't stick back down in the splicer? I have this problem. My dash lights and dinger don't work. Would like to do this myself without taking to the shop. I'm a girl but I do have some mechanical skills I learned from my ex husband.
Hello, thanks for watching! Please check out the Chevy Aveo forum. They know a lot about these cars and may be able to answer your question. www.aveoforum.com/
What about 2009? My fuse box is different, but I'm having a similar problem. My passenger side tail light is out, but the light works when the brake pedal is pressed. I've changed the bulb a couple of times. I made sure it's the correct bulb and replaced all the fuses.
Hi Bud, I’m not sure about that year. Check out this website and be sure to ask your questions there as they have many talented folks who can answer your question. www.aveoforum.com/
I turn my car on put running lights and my passenger side lights corner lights and back only on passenger side go off but when I look at splitter wires on the same section on URS but towards the front part are burnt do I have to cut 4 wires toward the front on mines

Hey man thanks for the video, i got hesitant to comment and tell you that my 2005 Chev Avelo LS hatchback had six brown wires with a white stripe on them, then after cutting the all the six and joining them together, when i turn on the car, the dash and the RH tail light immediately lights up without me turning on the lights, and when i turn on the lights, nothing happened. I think i should have consulted you before. Please guide me through getting it to work. Thanking you in advance

Use Soldier ironto melt(strip troule coating. then heatgun is best(hairdryer may get hot enough), 2nd would be a non torch lighter(wave lighter around),and a distant last a soldiering iron to shrink the tube. )))
