  • We have another "Quick Looks" for you. This time round we are comparing a few of the Godox AD600 to the Jinbei HD610 settings and features (not light testing was done). Both these lights are available at Photogear.co.nz. The Godox comes in both TTL and Manual.

At 2:15 you show how to increase the power in 0.1 steps, but if you press the rotating control knob in once, you can then adjust the power in 1.0 steps. If you press the know in again it goes back into fine mode (0.1 steps).

Great review, awesome job on this video! Short and to the point!

Does it do HSS in the lower power settings? Is it TTL for both and do they both support Can, Nik, Sony?
How many full pops will one do over the other?
Most importantly, since I use a larger softbox I feel my AD600B bracket is going to break very soon, or it just keeps slipping teeth and aiming down from the weight of the softbox.
While this review was very helpful to the the recycle time and some basic looks, I wish you went a bit more in depth with their features.

Hss,ttl ,number of full power shots..that would be nice to know on each.

thanks for the comparison! About recycle time: Sorry for the dumb question bit was the jinbei on full power? Because they say 2,3 seconds, and Godox says 2,5 sec. Do you think those numbers are inaccurate? thanks!

Wish you talked about HSS and more.

I just have two questions.. nothing too technical. 1. How many flashes do you get from the battery from each light? 2. I have seen other vids that the fan for the Jinbei can be quite loud, however I didnt hear that on your video. Is one light quieter than the other?

High speed sync? Do they both work reliably?

So I bought the Orlit 610 (Same as Jinbei HD610) and it never worked perfectly out of the box. I figured a firmware update would solve the issues. Well the new firmware was released by Adorama and now TTL or manual mode with HSS isn't working. Everything overexposed and manual power won't go below 4. Also connection issues. The unit seems to be underpowered and not quite 600 watts. Very unhappy. Wish I had stuck with a Godox/flashpoint 600 since they are more tried and true.

Maybe so, but perhaps you got a bad unit? I just received my first Godox unit, and with that cheap plastic bracket mount, I know it wont last long, so I am looking for an alternate setup, as I eventually will get 3 of these. But a shame to have such a nice flash with a POS mount that cannot handle large softboxes. The entire thing is plastic other than the bolt and washer. Teeth are shallow and plastic.

    Copy & paste:
Jinbei Caler 600C-TTL no flash by test button or shutter button.
Jinbei TR-611C also did not trigger Jinbei Caler 600C-TTL and HD610.
Arrived brand new & they can be turned on & make adjustment, but no trigger.
On camera flash, only the Green LED comes on when shutter button pressed.
Need help or should I return for full refund?
    Not happy at all!
Shipping them back will be very costly.
Jinbei DID NOT reply nor help us.

Dp800 iii or jinbei? Which one is better?

If the Jin bei was daylight balanced, I would buy it in a flash - that yellow tungsten light does not work for me.

you failed to mention that the HD-610 can change full stops or tenths of stops by pressing the central button/dial... you said it took a bit of a jog to get there.... learn before you teach.

Can you measure both light minimum/maximum power with lightmeter..please..

exactly, I cant understand they don't test the most important thing.

      @koreanskiefilmy 6 років тому

yep, any serious review have to include objective testing of power levels, flash duration at each level, recycle time for levels and battery life.
Otherwise it is just a product shown on video and time wasted.

You need to give some more tech details in a review!!
And by the way The HD-610 has 2 options of changing power you dont need to Go 1/10 every time

like jinbei more big, more space inside electronic chamber more long life, usually ordinary components easy to repairs..
godox small factor usually tiny electronic components similar inside mobile phone, it's hard to repaired...
