Video Shows Moment Terrell Davis Was Handcuffed on Plane

- New video shows the moment NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis was put in handcuffs and taken off a United Airlines flight. He says the incident stemmed from when he had asked a flight attendant for ice. "I put my hand up first and he didn't see it so then I lightly tapped him on his shoulder and he swung around and said don't hit me," Davis says. He says he completely forgot all about the incident until they landed. That's when he suddenly saw law enforcement board the plane and cuff him.
Calling the FBI over a tap on the shoulder should not be acceptable.
Fr
An absurd waste of public resources.
@@ealexgu I mean...the FBI has jurisdiction over crimes in the air. so they have people who work at airports to deal with stuff. It's ridiculous that law enforcement was called, but its not really anymore a waste of resources than local police being called.
Should not? Should not? .....wrong Rockysolid....It is not acceptable. The flight attendant must be investigated. Must be charged for false statement.
Doubt that’s the whole story.
Flight attendant should be charged for calling a false statement !
The flight attendant basically SWATted him, for a tap on the shoulder.
This over ice? This country is mess up
There’s over 200 people on a commercial airplane that need to be served at once. Why was getting ice so dire he needed to touch a fight attendant? If you need something; put your call light on, raise your hand and/or wait patiently. So far there’s only one side of the story. He should fly private if he doesn’t have time to be considerate of others 🤷🏼♂️
@@TightyWhiteyTrashof course you would find a way to blame the victim. Hmmm. I cant imagine why that would be 🤔
@@book_worm22 oh yah cuz I’m the white man discrediting the black man. NOT. I’m a man discrediting a man that couldn’t be patient & wait his turn. Use the call light or raise your hand & wait. If that were Tom Brady & he tapped a fight attendant just to get their attention OVER ICE, I’d still say the same thing. No matter how many games u played & whatever kind of legend someone can be in their head; it doesn’t matter to the rest of the people on that plane. And still, this has been a one sided story. The FBI doesn’t just take ppl off planes cuz they asked for a cup of ice. There’s more to this than what is being told by the so called “victim”
@@TightyWhiteyTrashkaren
So FBI doing police job. 😂
He should sue the flight attendant.
It has to be the airline because the FA is an employee.
@@jdotsalter910 employees need to be liable for crimes. In this case, false arrest
@Charlie-pz1iv the flight attendant is a "man of straw." Suing him will yield nothing. However, suing the airline will force them to train their attendants properly.
@@rudestlittlesoundwave642 a cause of action is not limited to a single dependant. You can include all "et al" PD, FBI, etc etc. They've treated me like that as well.
What did he do?
I wouldn't be surprised if the Flight Attendant showed up in a interview with a cast on

God bless you.
They done messed up.
Yes they did 🤑

The FBI could’ve said can you step outside so we need to talk.
Why need fbi on a flight for small so called incident? If they came do this to an important innocent guy were all screwed.
@@meganrichardson8555It was probably across state lines and FBI is basically the federal police.
First of all, as another black man, let's forget if he's NFL legend or not, that's beside the point. The point here is he didn't do anything wrong and he was unjustly disrespected and humiliated and that is unacceptable. Adding NFL legend would make it sound as if he should have gotten away with it if he actually had done it but he didn't and he is a person period.
It is happening too often. All races. 😢 they usually pay hush $ to make it all away. Lets hope Terell does not accept hush $ and actually see this through. 😢
oh no racism...hahahahha
@Juann-ci5vhWhether an NFL legend or a street beggar who pays to be on a flight, no one should be treated like that. It shouldn't happen to anyone period.
What does your skin color have to do with your opinion?
@@afripinoy For sure, but some people get the idea that being rich and/or famous will somehow protect them from discrimination and so that's what they should strive for. But the unfortunate thing is, that can't even save you. Which is why we have to work to get rid of racism itself, and not just try and hide from it using class
I think some one was looking for a check from the football player.
i agree... it could also be DEI hire 😂
@@agps4418how do you make this up

@agps4418 the fanfiction you guys come with is nuts.
I don't wanna make this a black and white thing but if Davis was white, this wouldn't have happened. His family needs to sue the hell out of the airline. The airline will end up paying for all 3 of their kids educations and they should. That was way over the top. Just the fact that this very large and strong man did not fight with the officers shows that he was calm and in control of his emotions the entire time and that is what made the difference in the court of public opinion. Good for TD.
Davis should sue United and get millions.💰💸
Millions for that?
@@ErnestJay88 thats very dumb to say, millions for getting cuffed in public and no charges against him
Won't be millions. The airline will settle for low 6 figures and fire the FA.
I'm glad to hear in the video that he plans on suing -- good to show his children how to fight back properly when someone wrongs you like this. Poor guy
Right,,as if United ain’t been through enough.. I’m pretty sure united had much rougher flights…
The flight attendants always hit my knee when they walk by. I should get the FBI.
Who in the world calls an FBI over a shoulder tap
Just came off an eight hour flight during which a family of little children were permitted to scream and run up and down the aisle crazily for most of the flight. The flight attendants did absolutely nothing to stop the behavior… The parents were not told to keep the children in their seats, thus preventing them from bumping into the arms and falling into the laps of other paying passengers. Why was that type of behavior tolerated and this man targeted? What a shameful situation.
make a formal complaint to the airline and the governing safety body for flight safety, this could not b safe...
How stupid and senseless😮
I'm never flying United Airlines again.
cap
Never again
Because united breaks guitars
@@devnandannair2336 well there you go...another good reason to never set foot on their planes again! Sorry about your guitar
I'm never flying United Airlines again.
The flight attendant was probably a Raiders fan 😂
I wonder how many times that flight attendant has done the same thing to other customers and passengers on airplanes just for asking for food and drinks and other stuff
"NFL legend" or not this shouldn't happen to anyone.
The real question is ...would it have been dropped so quickly or at all if he was just a normal Joe taxpayer. I'm betting no.
Why they arrested for he didn't do anything. That flight attendent was playing victim all he wanted is just ice that's it.
I need ppl to explain how the FBI was involved in arresting him? Why was this a federal crime that didn't involve local police instead?
It must’ve been just to intimidate him. Like why does the FBI even have to wear a jacket that says in giant yellow letters FBI!!!?
He finna get paid😂
My man got arrested for a cup of ice what the hell is going on 🤦🏼♂️
1:10 the fact he's an "NFL legend" doesn't matter, he and his family must've been terrified. If he was offended over a tap on the shoulder who knows what else he could've come up with.
I don't know why but this reminds me of that adam sandler movie anger management when he slightly touched that flight attendant in every thing got crazy
I had to watch that scene after reading your comment and OMG A tap on the arm! FAM approached Sandler, flashed his badge "can you come to the back of the plane with me so we can have a talk" and the FA came to court wearing a sling.
That was defiantly racially related.
@@cadebecker2486 so far from the truth
I’d never touch a fight attendant. Let’s forget race for a minute. If you need something on a plane; u press the call button or raise your hand. How dire was that extra ice in his cup? There’s over 200 passengers on that plane that need to be served. There’s a little thing called *patience* & so far there’s only been one side of the story…
Bruh @@TightyWhiteyTrash He literally said he raised his hand, but it didn't look like the attendant noticed it.
No just some sad gay dude with pronouns
Please sue them
Betchu that flight attendant wished they had of kept their mouths shut and let it go..
Now..
I thought there has to be witnesses for an arrest to be made. I didn't watch the whole video but I pray you get justice my friend. 😇
No. Anyone can literally say whatever they want to anyone in authority and press charges. Remember that next time you’re on a jury.
This flight attendant probably demanded a designated safe space area in the employee lounge.
That’s literally Racial Profiling
The flight attendant did
@@healthybeautynutricioncoac4562 uh its not, when was race mentioned besides when the obviously very biased lawyer said it
🤔🤔 hmm flight attendant put on leave , I would have sued too but definitely now or why would United put him on leave ? Because he screwed up
Remember folks. Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. Anyone can say anything they want and bring charges on you. Trust no one in authority
Poor guy. United should be sued for racism.
Sue the airline and the flight attendant
Attendants seem to go crazy over little stuff. Then weak captains call the cops. Last May American Airlines turned an international flight around because a passenger called a flight attendant a waiter. Weak captains and bad cops.
LMAO i can’t with this 😆
The flight attendant sounds like my sister 😂
Next interview, the flight attendant will have a huge cast on his shoulder
TD is and always has been a quality individual. For it to go to this level is ridiculous.
Flight attendant had the wrong guy arrested!! NFL hall of famer Superbowl champion TD! the flight attendant was put on leave and will get fired OWNED!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All this for a shoulder tap asking for ice? My goodness
From the same airline that dragged off that Doctor
Whats the flight attendant’s name!
John Elway
Definitely someone to avoid, maybe if you get the pronouns wrong it's tickets.
Rule #1 don't touch the flight attendants without consent
Why the heck was the FBI involved 😂
Is there video of this? That would be very telling.
Flight attendant was tryna get a retirement check
That flight attendant should never get a job dealing with the public. NEVER.
Back in the day you would just slap the ass on Flight Attendant 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
If the attendant’s female, sure.
Someone was looking for a pay day
damn bro, not TD!!! 😭😭😭 let him go!!! Free TD!!!
FOIA request bodycam footage of all the officers on the plane before the arrest
Never fly that airline ever !
The only time that race was mentioned was when the white lawyer said it lol

Yeah, you think all racism is spoken out loud.
See what we deal with everyday
Flying is a horrific experience
Imagine if airlines allowed passengers to tap on flight attendants for whatever reason

Can’t you imagine if you just wanted some headphones?
FBI should be dismantled
Let’s see…flight attendant for wasting public resources, pilot/first officer for notifying the ATC/law enforcement, the FBI agent for unlawful arrest…
Whoopee doodle doo
did the fight attendant take pictures of his wound?
Why would you have to tap him on the shoulder what's wrong with with Excuse me sir could I please get some ice when you have time just saying
Met Davis at the Marshall Faulk celebrity golf tournament in San Diego '16; classy gentleman, will probably win the suit.
I feel for their child/ren witnessing this traumatic yet needless incident, after a supposed respite or relaxing family vacation destination. ⚖️
The flight attendant gave misinformation. lied, isnt that illegal?
SUE the heck out of that airline
In the future, I just hope this everyone sees this and fix the mistakes and corruption that was brought to this country the right way for everyone.
United Airlines never cross my mind when I book air travel.
If it wasnt Terrell Davis he would have been charged with assault.
United Airlines' current slogan is "Good Leads the Way". Ironic.
I don’t know why, but this reminds me of the beginning scene of the movie anger management, where Adam Sandler’s character was trying to catch the flight attendance attention for headphones, but instead he got tased and got accused, and they got away with nothing
Hopefully, TD gets that Michael Irvin, Marriott money.
It's called flying in coach in the US. No outbursts or your getting chucked
But did he also press the stewardess call button on the plane?
The FBI agent gently touched Davis’s shoulder! He should be arrested as well! What kind of world do we live in? What a waste of time.
I can see these horrible flying events where flight attendants get attacked has push it to where a tap can be seen problematic. Everyone is on edge
Is it possible it was something more than a tap on the shoulder? Id like to hear some input from people on the plane. If it was just a tap there should be huge consequences.
It's really just 1 person's word against another, in any other case, law enforcement would not just immediately side with one side. Why should airline employees have special treatment? Is there no verification needed?
1. it's United.... 2. never touch flight attendant
For the FBI to be called, that means the flight attendant exaggerated the encounter and made a different statement on what really happened.
The only winner here is the attorney!
Sue the flight attendant 😊
What happened to the call button? It’s serves more professionalism than touching someone. Any issues, or not responding to an emergency response, then you sue the airline for misappropriating for a passenger needs.
Definitely, the flight attendant should be questioned and charged for making false accusations. This was definitely a racist case.
Isnt this basically what happened in that one adam sandler movie?
There should be surveillance cameras on planes.
cctv inside the plane is in dire need ✈️
Of course it was united
Death penalty if wrong pronouns used.
What’s wrong with the U.S, how can its own citizens think this is right.
The male Flight attendant was probably very feminine.
The FBI/police procedure to automatically handcuff someone solely on the word of a single airline employee-- subjecting them to humiliation-- should be reviewed. These "cops" need to LEARN how to use their own discernment and discretion, not act like mindless robots following department policy.
There has to be more to the story.
