I was hoping you would airdrop some sACU's onto the middle island, shield, then build the t3 arty there, way back when your ASFs and Rippers were dominating, but this was awesome.
Of those 44 kills, 23 of them were the T1 units on the center island. I always read it as the Quantum gate building the SACU, and then teleporting in the human pilot.
But we can see that the main ACUs themselves do teleport through with the human already inside, so logic would dictate that bringing an SACU in follows the same process.
Not necessarily, it stands to reason they'd want to teleport as little mass as possible over billions of miles, and the only reason they send the whole ACU at once is because there's no infrastructure on the other end to build it on-site.
willow played way better than his rating. he was the only one that made an effort to pick up all the mass on this map and picked the right strategy in building RAS support coms. he built a good eco but didn't use it to overwhelm his enemies. meanwhile the "pro" was behind on eco and didn't use RAs support comms but used what he had very efficiently.
It was still painful to watch how many times he just wasted his Soulrippers and going for the wrong targets. Also, not building any cruisers ... I was screaming at the screen "build Sirens and park them around the mid island, goddamnit!". I mean he was the only one with navy and so many airfights would have gone his way if he had a safe haven like that in the middle.
Willow ECO'ed better than his rating, but played like a typical 500-800 in combat. Its like he has watched some acheivedjaguar games, copied his build, and then had no idea how the hell to fight!
@@Puschit1 not totaly agree. He would better focus on asf production and proper covering of soulrippers, cruisers not mobile enough and can't walk land. Also I not checked out exactly but sure that DPS per mass and production rate of cruisers is less than of asfs. Also good point about poor target prioritizing, if you count the mast invested to that t4 units the damage they did is way more less.
@@Argon-X I would agree if these were Pros. But in this case Sirens ar eth ebetter choice. ASFs require micromanagement, he can still lose airfights even if he has the numbers. With Sirens, though, you have some sort of mobile SAMs that the opponent's ASFs can't hit back. That's a solid aircover he doesn't have to manage. He would still need some ASFs of course but every airfight over cruisers will have toll on his opponent.
29:32 R500 guy sending in T1 bombers against 5xT3AA == mass rain. not to mention his remote rambo com action. so dramatic! :')) i love the R500-R1000 tier, i can relate soo much. lol
I dunno, Zesox. Eat the right quantity of the right stuff and I'm quite certain it could easily be a more accurate 'faecal brown'. Of course, if we as people could agree how to even spell colo(u)r, that would probably help tremendously (I don't know why, it just seems funny).
6:30 "a little bit of reclaim". This particular planet must have rocks made out of platinum or something, because they are incredibly mass dense. There's like 200k reclaim on the map worth of rocks.
I kinda don't like full share in games with massive gap in player level, it gets kinda mind gamey with "do i want to kill the teammates knowing the last survivor can use their bases amd mass better"
I just love how AngryArty is so salty he doesn't even throw a gg out on chat at the end. If you decide to get into a game with beginners be respectful and try to help them get better.
He probably didn't have time. That tactic was so unexpected (he was probably expecting a typical microwave telesnipe) - and the missiles disappear right after they hit - that he likely didn't know what hit him. And then he was dead. I'm fairly confident he only actually saw the last batch of missiles right before they took him out. Cos if he had seen them earlier, he wouldn't have GG'ed - he'd have simply taken two steps to the side and then won the game.
I had to rewind and watch the last minutes again... That was the true game illustration of the potato from ASDF movies... MAN:"Die Potato!..." POTATO:*chambers a bullet*"...Ch-CH...Not Today...". that was the coolest game comeback I've ever seen. haha
The colour is the default Seraphim yellow from the campaign. But alliteration is a desirable name trait. Perhaps yoke yellow, yarf yellow? Or Something ridiculous like Jaundice Yellow? Or just avoid yellow. Sickly Sand, Horrible Honey, Tepid Topaz. I have more...
I like the term average joe, it's not aggressive or derogatory, unlike the word noob. My niece stayed with me and my family awhile back, and she was playing some Minecraft game online, and calling everyone noobs in an aggressive way, I was so disappointed.
I think it's a step up, but I wish they'd play some games where you have to kill everything (or at least all the production units) to win, instead of putting the commander on this dangerous high pillar of importance. The game has those modes, but FAF never seems to use them.
@@Argonwolfproject "kill the commander" is due to the lore of the game. Everything else on the field is robot and takes it's direction from the com, so once the com is dead, all the other units are useless. Better to self destruct your army than have it fall into enemy hands or have it turn feral and start killing your own people.
@@Jeff55369 I know that commanders and sub-commanders are supposed to be the only human-inhabited units, but it only makes sense that instead of self-destructing the units would be re-routed to another nearby commander.
At 49:30 it was obvious for me that Willowsseven is going to loose to AngryArty because he throwed away his superior eco to badly protected bugs. And also he has not change his tactics during all the game until his last chance, which result is more failure of Arty rather than success of Willow. Normally any high ranked players would react immideately on voice notification of commander been attacked. More wise decision in that case would be to fire first volley of tmls on free area, and second on ACU.
I'm actually pretty sure that if you hit the shield of a Com it won't tell you that it's under attack. At the very least it was like that the last time I got a shield upgrade (Which was in just Vanilla FA and not FAF.)
Agree, I love this game, especially the diversity of units some of which have rediculous range is sweet, larger realistic map size where a battleship can truly shine properly lobbing shells 3km out and still wreck ur base, and the complex multi-tasking required to pass from casual to experienced....as a noob I thought the radar view zoom out was just to look cool lol; then later realizing to be good you basically play the game from that view except to go ground level 4 a quick build que. Starcraft series also my fav, different style as smaller maps and more fast paced, but superb unit balance, variety, and countless strategies and counters to learn. As this game demonstrated, Star.2 also will show how great an RTS it is by demonstrating a well built RTS will own spammers who love to mass that one favorite unit. It'll work on many players, but a vet will shut it down and adapt a counter to wipe you from the map b4 you realize you are dead
I think the "building" is pretty much the long process establishing a safe quantum link between two gates, with each subcom hailing from a different planet and thus requiring an updated link. A fairly plausible explanation since they're specifically trying not to destroy the surroundings while dropping that oversized modular combat engineer.
Dude that was so painfull to watch when willow was losing all his rippers and just kept spamming them instead for going for game ender. Could have turtled the center and built scathis by the 45th minute if he wanted. Was about quit 5 min before the end when i was sure Willow just lost the game and then....
Yes... I'm sure that it was just a tiny error pushing up that far. All he needed was some AA. Once those gunships were gone, he was in the clear. I'm sure there were no other threats in the area. No Fatboys or anything.
I haven't played this game since it was officially supported and so many times I went "What are you DOING?" about willowsevens teams gameplay 'choices' here. AngryArty's lack of a duke also melted my brain. The sheer waste of soulrippers... my word though.
Don't worry, I'm going to start a petition to never let myself control a single aircraft ever again.
I was screaming BUILD SOME SPIDERS for a good portion of that. Glad you won with that insane snipe.
congrats on the win that was impressive.
I was hoping you would airdrop some sACU's onto the middle island, shield, then build the t3 arty there, way back when your ASFs and Rippers were dominating, but this was awesome.
I've never seen anybody win with so much style, good job.
what a win!
Liked the comment @1:10:00 when spawn telling willow if he can still turn this around, the game will be featured on gyle cast -> And here we go :)
I could watch the end of this over and over. Amazing.
Of those 44 kills, 23 of them were the T1 units on the center island.

Great game. Ending is worth it.
Thanks for the cast Gyle!
Also Willow was playing great macro, but his micro was abysmal.
He was like the Captain Jack Sparrow of SupCom. Just drunkenly flailing and somehow making everything fall into place and cementing himself in legend.
That is one of the funniest replay you've done, and i've been watching for ages. Keep it up buddy.

Can't belevie I have not seen your channel b4. This is great lol
Did not expect that ending, fantastic game.
amazing comeback, best ive seen.
Supcom head is a real condition that strikes players of all skill levels.
I had hope for my studies when I saw Gyle wasn't uploading for a long time... Well, there goes my medicine test
i am ''studying'' for a com law test right now, well i mean i was :P
Agreed XD, its like my inner third grader keeps screaming about new Gyle episodes. Welcome back Gyle
Clicked this faster than a fake clickbait thumbnail of a hot girl.
Seasick yellow
Isn't this map in the ladder pool? I kinda remember playing it, not too long ago.
Wow, epic ending, one of best I ever seen in this game :)
omg, that end
Awesome move from Willow, he didn't give up. Another great cast, Gyle. Glad I saw it even if I was supposed to sleep. X3
Looks more like a Dijon mustard. Mustard to me is English which is brighter. So, Dijon Yellow/Brown
Agreed, with obligatory exaggerated french accent.
Le Devastating Dijon?
More to your tastes?
"Dee-zhon Marrr-rron!" (marron being french for "brown")
So the color should be called Dijon from now on. Nice and short

I can't believe you hardly ever see any games on this beautiful map. People really are stuck in their ways.
Bloody Awesome!
I know this is an old cast....But it made me face palm SO HARD at the end
It ain't over, 'til it's over. Awesome.
this is the greatest gyle cast I have ever seen hahahaha

That's what makes his play so great, it won the game AND made his opponent look like a chump!

No one player should have so much mass
That was epic, what do you call casts like this?
I just checked with my set of watercolors. I believe the color it most resembles would be "yellow ochre"
After watching this, I feel colour blind! GAH!! Good cast always, thanks again Gyle :-)
What is yoke yellow?
yourcurtainsareugly yolk then as in egg centers
Oh, I thought you meant yoke like for drawing a cart or flying a plane, and thought "is that some shade of yellow?!?"
I like Tepid Topaz

Incredible match
That was a wonderful turn of events. Great game!
I hate Full Share. Whats the point.... anyway great ending :D

Isn't it meant to be an evil green? Call it Grimy Lime. That or something representing a damaged health bar, ie: Low-Health Yellow or Mangled Mustard.
Insane Game... Epic Level 100! Now did you mean that SSB is not assigning correct number to teams or did you find some new bug in my mod?
HUSSAR the former.
that's a known bug and I will fix soon. thx
That ending was awesome
THAT is "Baby-poo brown" for sure. No discussion.
Long Island green (like the drink)!
Marauding Mustard maybe Gyle?
Epic ending :) Great watch
Wonderful match!
Wow what a win,awesome!

Do you stream cast these games? I would instantly subcribe to your twitch if you did
Holy hell. That was awesome.
This is why sup. Com. Is the best rts ever. The balance of land, air, navy and buildings, oh the ever forgotten buildings in today's rts.

In my days CYBRAN T2 PD used a laser?
Got changed to a projectile because they used to hit the ground all the time IIRC.
It's kind of a mustard yellow, so you could call it "Ypres Yellow", after the first battlefield use of mustard gas.
one of the best ever
Man I love these videos.
What mods are on this game? Is this FAF?
Curry Powder Yellow was my first thought
amazing ending

Doesn't this map have a more greenish seabed and body of liquid?
Finally. More videos, son.
Awesome ending

unexpected outcome. Dat final!
This was one of the most epic supcom games I've ever seen!
Why does nobody ever build radar?
I'd call this colour Mustard. Also it's not the Order Aeon colour, I think this is probably one of the Seraphim campaign colours.
Why so minimal naval play? Few cruisers at 15 mins or even later would have made big differens.
I'm not sure if this is victory from the jaws of defeat, or defeat from the jaws of victory.
I suggest Buster Brown... a variation on "Brown Buster".
Willowseven's strategy got stale. He should have adapted way earlier.

Teleports behind you
for the colour: Fool's Gold
this is why stealth and hiding is important, even in the lead, miles ahead...hide your com
ahah great end!
youve restated the blue and black dress or white and gold dress debate.
Is it Yellow, Green, or Brown? 🤣

2 years late to suggest the color name of "General Custard's Mustard"
The official color name is: Puke Green
Gyle, you could call this kind of game "Below Average Joes" or "Newbie Joes" or whatever.
