Big big NYO fans! This recording has been all I've listened to while revising for the last few terms! The best recording of this amazing ballet score ever! Go NYO double basses ;) and NYO first violins!
I'm going to an NYO concert on Sunday, and I can't wait!!!!!
xxx
What a sensational performance of this abridged ballet score. I assume all of the musicians are 18 years and under, which makes it even more special.
The NYO is fantastic.
Everyone 18 or under, you are correct
Such incredibly talented young musicians. Brilliant!
No matter what. This was wonderful.
Incredibly energetic performance, got creeps
rosa! 29:30
jAW DROPPINGLY AMAZING!!!
This work by Prokofiev should only be performed by young musicians.
Young energy. Most of it is brilliant. Little times is rushed or lacked poised depth. Spesh with Prokofiev. Splendid though. Will listen many times
Go to ARTE and you will see the full concert in full high definition. what you are seeing here is a very poor reproduction and unclear.
Yes but that will disappear in 26 days...This was taken from the live broadcast and hopefully will stay.
@@cliffbarber7301 The performance on ARTE was from Berlin Konzerthaus and will be available until the end of October
This is taken straight from the original TV broadcast. Any upload on UA-cam will lose a bit of definition. The one on Arte is a different concert, btw, smaller orchestra etc..This is the BBC Proms not YEC.
@@christophercooke2854 the Berlin performance is not the entire orchestra, 120 played compared go 164 here. Though it will sound pretty similar
@@oliverpigram7054 This performance was just perfect for me and the size of the orchestra was not a concern as it appeared to fully occupy the space available and the quality of the sound filled the volume of the hall more than sufficiently. The performance of the Romeo and Juliet will stand out as one of the best performances I have experienced for a long time and full credit to the players, in comparison with the size of one of the world's best orchestras, the Mariinsky under Gergiev when playing for the full length ballet. The HD quality on ARTE was a bonus.
