Straight forward instructions 2020 style. Thanks for the explanation, it will be handy when the time comes. The Epixon is very similar to the XCR 32 air on my bike which i have to service soon. Fyi, u can use a PVC pipe from HD/Lowes to install ur crown races on the new forks. Also u can use EMT pipe to take out the headset on the motobecane if u need to change it from straight to tapered and thus avoid buying the pro tools.
Question, What are the possible effect if you remove "one spring" of that two springs at the air chamber side? I just removed mine "to make the travel to 160mm" =)
Thanks for this video. I've got this fork from 2018. It's brilliant. Mine is a 27.5, non Remote Lockout, straight steering tube version. I'm curious: is this adjustable from 10mm to 10mm? That is 100, 110, 120 etc? Mine is now in 100mm version. I'd extend it to 110, but not more than that. Mine also need a full service, full rebuilt - I'm looking for info about replacement parts.
Great questions, all. I would search the forums for the best answers. @SethsBikeHacks has great general info on servicing forks, but I doubt Epixon specific. And where to get internals??? Again, I'd say forums or call SR Suntour. Their contact info is at the bottom of their landing page: www.srsuntour.us/
Physically, it's possible. But potentially, you'll change the overall geometry of your platform. I found this from GMBN on Facebook: facebook.com/watch/?v=210397073868717
No. When you change the placement of the spring retaining pin, it's on the inside area of the inner stantion, not on a weight bearing surface. In fact, if the upper stantion pressed on the pin as the fork compressed, it would be unsafe. Instead, you are simply lengthening the the internal limits of spring compression by 20mm. Great question!
Thanks for answering, can't find any resource online regarding this. If the fork can take 120, why would you even choose 100 or 80? I think this should be mainly for the weight and geometry but you are not getting any difference with this fork...
@Ony I swapped this fork onto a big box bike. The geometry did change. It raised the front some, making it more slack, but that's the difference between models, not the internal modification.
all the videos i see regarding the pixon... the removal and installation of the travel lock pin is always cut out. is it really that hard to remove that it takes so much time?
Yep, looks like they're out of stock. I bought mine from Amazon two years ago: amzn.to/3TSwrAc They're even out at the factory. But the factory wants $409 for them. Yikes! Hi, do you know if the standard 120 model has the same air shaft/spring? So that it's already maxed out? I'm looking for more than 120mm travel on mine
I disassembled the entire shock on camera and moved the pin to the last possible spot. Specs on the Suntour website says 120. Maybe you need a different shock.
Probably, if the bike is on a stand. But imagine trying to pry the lower stanchions from an entire bike on a stand, and what could happen if it all tips over. Safety first!
Suntour has specific specifications for their parts. Example, you can't go larger than 180mm on brake disks due to metal tolerances on their lower fork caliper mounts... For me, though, if I wanted more travel, I would've chosen a different fork. Great question. You might check the forums for an answer

i put these on my old hard tale. I took them to 140mm to slacken the head angle. been great.
Exact same forks? If so how?
Tnks so much for yr service Sr. I been looking for a video just like u did. 😁👍 I'm so fkn... Happy. Lol

Can you tell seal size is 32mm×41mm or 32×40mm which are correct please help brother 🙂

I demonstrate pin removal at 4:57 using an amorer's block and punch pin. Installation is at 5:29. This video is edited only for time.
@@TheTSFChannel is it normal that its hard to remove?
Mine were not difficult to remove. I've done the mod 3 times. A straight punch tool and hammer with not so light taps.
How were you able to get a tapered QR version? All I can find are straight steerers and I want the tapered

So I can purchase the 100mm travel that is cheaper and make it a 120?
The Epixon is that way by design. I can't guarantee other forks are the same way.
Yes this fork im looking to get for my wife's Cannondale.

Hey! can i put oil on the lower legs like what they do on rockshox or fox forks? Idk if the epixon can be upgraded to that or it may damage the fork.
Oil on... the lower stantion exteriors? I'm not understanding.
Have you tried drilling the same size hole further away to increase it beyond the 120mm?

do you think rst aerial is a good fork?
I don't have any experience with it
My epixon fork does not bottoming out even without air inside the fork. Is it bad? I hope someone can reply. I really need help.
No its normal

Do you giveaway your forks?
I sell them online
I did this and my fork is bottoming out at like 100 mm travel dose anyone know why that is happening
Mine came set at 100mm before I adjusted it, and it never bottomed out. What kind of riding are you doing?
Buy a shock pump and adjust the air pressure correctly first and foremost.
Check if the lockout cartridge is limiting travel
