For context the last siren I heard was a combination of a 1003, Vortex, and a 5BT all at the exact same time. That video will definitely be up VERY soon.
This is amazing, I like the growl & windown of this Red Arrow, I am a fan of the 10/15, 10/16 & 15/20 Red Arrow sirens. If only more were out there. To me the 10/16 one sounds so antique from its minor 6th interval & I enjoy how those windown to. I like how the 15/20 models sound like an Allertor with the perfect 4th & the 10/15 with the perfect 5th interval.
Jerry. I just want you to know that you are an amazing person. I haven't paid much attention to you ever since I've known about you a while back until recently but I'm so thankful you are part of the siren community. I know you and Justin are what I like to consider long-life friends and I support your doings. :)
This thing will be a rat rod until I ensure it is mechanically perfect. After it proves itself I will then tear it down and restore it to my high standards
You’re the first to ever own a Decot Red Arrow! I know another collector recently bought a dual rotor dual tone Fedelcode Mach 3 which is so cool in itself. Hopefully you’re able to bring this to sirencon if the motor works
Decot red arrow siren in Wisconsin Dells WI, 12HP and 10/15 ports. But what about in Monticello WI and South Beloit IL Decot red arrow 12hp 10/16 ports and what about refurbishing Decot Red Arrow sirens.
Maybe the first question is, what is an obscene amount to you? I know of several places where you can get a good used large siren for under a $1000. For instance, West Shore Services has a ton of Thunderbolts and other sirens that Mike would sell for cheap. I also know of a large Sentry that could be had under the same amount as well.
Unbelievable that Decot red Arrow in South Beloit Illinois is inactive and its a 10/16 port and I believe can refurbish the Decot south Beloit Illinois?
JERRY UPLOADS WHEN IM AT THE CRACKER BARREL IN ANDERSON, SOUTH CAROLINA!
This is gonna be tradition at this point lol
LMFAO!!!! Omg
Maybe by changing restaurants a different kind of siren will appear
@@JerryWick True, true. Guess it also depends on what siren I just heard too because I was at SC Sirencon earlier

Thanks for the kind words!
He has a Decot Red Arrow, and a BN52G Mobil Directo. This man's a legend
It took me 20 years and a genuine friendship to aquire this one, the same goes for the BN52g, that one only took 15 though lol
Woah
@@JerryWicksigma boi
@@JerryWickhey that’s a good one
You're always full of surprises, Jerry! I'm sure this will look beautiful when you're done with it.
That's incredible. Knowing your last restoration and how good it is, I am very excited to see what comes.
This thing will be a rat rod until I ensure it is mechanically perfect. After it proves itself I will then tear it down and restore it to my high standards
I can't wait to see how this restoration will turn out especially knowing how pretty the BN52G looks now this'll look just as awesome
glad you got this thing working before sirencon
Yo nice
Can’t wait to see the motor working
Yo matt. Me too!
Probably unlikely due to the motors being over a 100 years old
@Vonna wasser HI vonna, this Baldor is only 30 years old. The original Valley motor burnt up over a half century ago

dude you have a toilet siren and this Decot?!? Imma sure it’s the best thing I heard now
Best rope spin-up ever! 👍
Give me a rope long enough and I can spin the world! Isn't that how the saying goes?
@@JerryWick Nice!!
Now when this one is done it’s gonna be way more epic!!
well I am a big fan of the 10/15 and 10/16 port Decots.

I had a question. Where did you find your decot siren. Are they easy to find.
Is this a complete unit? This is awesome! I think you are the first on UA-cam to own one.
No, Joe Molter has a couple videos of his smaller Red Arrow
Do those little rods near the stator hold up the housing if had one?
Holy cow, is this yours?!? If so that is INCREDIBLE!! I still love the Red Arrows!🤩💖
Yes, new project
@@JerryWick Omg how exciting!! 😁
A new project awaits!
I’m dying to see video’s of you setting this off at yesterday’s siren con
Plenty pf people recorded it. Just search it up
i love decot
You probably don't know the answer but what is the best way to obtain a siren without spending obscene amounts of money?

@@JerryWick i wouldn't really know because I haven't done anything like that before so I was kinda looking for an average price most old sirens go for
@The Dancing Pickle expect to spend at least 3-500 minimum for a full size siren that is on the ground ready to be taken home
@@JerryWick alright is that for operational sirens or ones that have a problem
@@thedancingpickle6362 Could be either at that price
Hey do you have any siren updates with anything like if you've done anything with the mobile directo or the decot
I haven't done anything to either. They both work really well, and there's nothing much to do with them at this time.
@@JerryWickdo you have any upcoming projects?
@@thedancingpickle6362 none at this time that are siren related
Is that the decot from sirencon 2023

Please put the housing on!,
cant wait for this to be finished
We'll worry about the cosmetics after I get it working. At the very least I will give it a Decot "hat"
yes that would be cool!

Maybe, not sure yet
