Thanks Llyr Hughes for producing a great short video introducing the project and our new emonPi Raspberry Pi based energy monitor. The emonPi Kickstarter page is now live! Thanks everyone for your support #exciting www.kickstarter.com/projects/openenergymonitor/emonpi-open-hardware-raspberry-pi-based-energy-mon
Hah! :) That has to be one of the best hardware intro videos I've seen, and certainly makes you feel like supporting a UK company when you get a look and feel of the world in which you guys live.
I think, you guys love what you do and you do what you love. I made something similar for my home, but not as professional as yours, but something of a hobby kind for myself.
+Debraj Deb thanks for your kind comment. Keep it up, that's exactly how we started! Not too much has changed, I still spend weekends fiddling with my home heating control systems!
Hi is your system also working with a 3phase and newtral grid power. And would it be compartible to read out modbus data of an Eastron SDM630 V2. And does your module can do data storage for a year or longer timeframe?
I wonder what the giant blue spikes of usage are dwarfing the 3kW array output during that sunny day. Too short to be an EV session. Maybe a short EV 'kiss'. Maybe too high to be an oven or even most heaters. Water heater? Maybe the array was only putting out 1.5kW.
Great stuff - keep it going - ukgov should get behind companies like these - we are world leaders at this sort of stuff but don't get the backing - top job you guys - oh, and soldering girl mmm...
It's so hard hearing/understanding what you guys are saying due to the music. Why even bother with these canned music "plucky-tune-kickstarter" tracks...
github.com/emoncms/emoncms/blob/master/docs/LinuxInstall.md I've just installed it (the software) on an Ubuntu Server VM running at home, I would guess you could put it on a VM in the cloud (but under your control) as well.

Explanation of AC power theory on Oem.org is very very helpful, thank you
Well done guys! Glad to see how far you came :)

Freaking amazing guys
Guys, you are crazy, and your project is really awesome.
Nice one lads - looked (sounded!) a bit chilly at the end there tho ;). Great little video showing what is possible. Love your work!
Ben Jones Thanks a lot Ben! It was indeed
Could barely hear yall over the music, other than that was pretty good!

nice project, however totally NOT interest at all sending my data anywhere else but my very own servers.
is that all possible ?
