I grew up with my parents fighting daily. Never united. One night walking into my bedroom I see dad alone on the couch blasting this song , feeling it , lights off, head back on that blue leather couch as if his soul was crying out silently-wanting it - it hit me. I understand this song even more so 30 years later . But that moment forever froze In time to me.
Thank you for telling that story, just listened to the song, it was very moving. I always loved hearing him sing this but you have given it real meaning to me, and for many others i'm sure❤❤

When I first heard this song I fell on my knees thanking the Lord for this massive vocals. This was a subliminar singing. No-one can ever match him. George was, pardon IS, gorgeous in all aspects. Miss him loads!

I think what makes his songs so sad is knowing the pain he was in. Now that he's gone and we've learned more about him, I feel the pain right along with him. I want to cry with each song. He wanted his songs to be timeless and that's exactly what he gave us.

When George recorded this song he couldn't record his own songs. So he recorded many songs live and even did the record with Queen. He poured his soul into everyone of the covers he did, he didn't wanna lose his fans. Five years seems like it's not so much, but at that time it seemed like an eternity. If you hear the song with your eyes closed you can feel George's emotions when he sang it. Elton is one of his best friends and he loved this version too.

Played this at my sisters funeral when the curtains was closing as she requested it. She was a huge george michael fan and has been since the 80s when he was in wham. When he died she was never the same and on the 3rd feb she took an overdose and died on the 5th feb 😭 I hope shes flying high with him.

On dit qu il a ete la soundtrack de nos vies, mais en fait nous avons eu l immense privilege de partager sa vie et ses emotions au travers de ses chansons et ses interpretations.
