I’m a bloke of 31 and me and my partner have an amazing little boy who we believe has autism. He’s 31 months old and hasn’t said a single word 😔 I’ve always never wanted to accept or believe that he may never be able to talk to me or call me daddy. His mummy is amazing. She is literally the best thing in our lives and she doesn’t even know how wonderful she is and all the amazing things she does for him and how much he adores and loves his mummy. It breaks my heart that she is secretly crying inside and is heartbroken she hasn’t heard her little boy speak or act like other normal children. And she gets paranoid that other parents talk about our little boy when we’re out even though I couldn’t give a fook what others think coz my boy is the best child in the world and I wouldn’t change a single thing about him coz of the amount of love and joy he has brought to me. I don’t know what I’m trying to say here tbh apart from that both of them mean the absolute world to me and my partner has no clue how valued and loved and appreciated she is. She does all this research and gets help and appointments for our son. She is my rock and my son is MY hero

Thanks for sharing that. I have a 26 month son too we suspect might have autism. Did your son have words and then regress? Yes, we’re still waiting for that first word

I’m so proud of dexter and how far he’s come! I cried when you were crying about his teacher I totally understand. Teachers already have an amazing impact on us for caring for our children but it’s even more special when our kids have special needs and to feel like that person is gone is gut wrenching. Hugs to you all.

He's so cute and happy! How old is he? I'm waiting on an evaluation for my 22 month old. He knows everything and will point to everything when you ask him something, but he will not talk. He only says Dada, and just today he starting saying Mama again!
