Marin Four Corners Conversion to 1x - Part 1

After a few years riding with the #x Sora I thought it was time to not only give the commuter bike a rebuild, but at the same time give 1x a try. Not only will I be installing a 1x groupset on the bike, I will also be giving it a custom paint job.
This is step one, the teardown.

I'm mulling over 1x conversion, technically done it already by cutting the FD. But to do it properly, would love to use Hope RX crankset with direct mounted chainrings.
