Agreed 100% with the Aeroscout RTF!! Bought my 9 year old son one for his birthday and after a few simulator flights on RealFlight he looked like a pro from his initial take off. He’s had it 9 months now and only has had one crash that required any glue repair. Great first plane for anyone who wants to learn to fly RC. Since he’s been so successful with the Aeroscout I’ve bought him the Eflite T-28 1.1m BNF for his first warbird for Christmas. Seeing your video on the Trojan made his choice to move up to the Trojan an easy one for him. Thanks for the informative videos!!
I bought the Aeroscout in October based on last year’s list (from your link of course!). I have flown it about a dozen times and it is amazing! I practiced first with a flight simulator and it was super easy. Last time out, I handed the controller to a friend that had never flown or practiced on a simulator - he was able to take off, fly, and land with just verbal instructions from me! You cannot go wrong with this plane.
You guys have become my go-to channel for rc review videos! Based on watching your videos I bought the Arrow pioneer and have 3 of the eachine mini warbirds. Your honest reviews have made it easier for me to get into the hobby. Can't wait to see what 2023 brings to your channel!
An older version of the Aero Scout was my first plane- I lawn-darted that so many times and it kept flying! The version I had didn’t have the ailerons , so progression was limited. Glad to see this version has them!
I've had a Sport Cub for about a year now and it's great, but the small size is definitely the Achilles heel. It's typically windy where I live so I miss out on a lot of really good flying days because of a slight breeze. Today my coworker did his first flight on the Aero Scout. His landing was exceptional. Congratulations to your growing family. Giving God the glory and family friendly content= sub.
I bought aero scout for my first plane because of your recommendation. 3 yrs later I'm still flying it. Awesome plane. also p51 is also great and indestructible
I have the Aeroscout and I LOVE it!!! The best plane I have ever had!!! I haven't flown it in a very long time, but whenever I do fly it, I just love it!!!!
Use to build RC planes when I was a teenager, now I'm 57 and you guys make me want to take up the hobby again. Kits are hard to come by now-a-days any suggestions ?
I got an A380 from a small brand for christmas a few years ago and it got put away and forgot about. A few weeks ago I started learning about aviation again and remembered I have an rc plane pushed away in a closet somewhere. I got it and learned how to fly it again. It's fun and I have been wanting to get a new one since I got it down.
aeroscout 100%! i just started flying and bought the RTF aeroscout, the only down side to the aeroscout is the weak servos. My bro bought an aeroscout and the 3rd flight had a servo failure. I just replaced my rudder servo, besides servo failures I absolutely love my aeroscout. Just upgraded to an NX8 and now am ready to buy a 2nd plane!
Hello Abby & Nate . Another nice beginner plane is the T2M Zest. Has the color Orange. And has a Brushless push motor. This is also one of my favorite plane. this one also crashed a lot. and always the nose piece fixed up. great plane.😃🤚🇱🇺✈️🛩️
Another nice thing about the AeorScout is that it can take you past beginner piloting well into intermediate piloting; you have a decently performing sport plane in "Expert" mode. You can think of it as your first two planes.
The one plane I would add to this list is the E Flite Valiant 1.3m. While the Aeroscout is perhaps the most beginner friendly R/C plane currently available, I feel like the Valiant is nearly as easy plus offers a bit more room to grow. But certainly cannot go wrong with either one!
Getting back into flying after 20+yrs the AeroScout was my first decent size hobby grade air plane. Great trainer and it can pull off some decent maneuvers for what it is. I suggest changing the elevator servo to a metal geared one. I'm replacing mine right now and I've seen several other people have the same problem. It's cheap and very easy to replace so it's not a deal breaker lol. Love all the planes on the list guys 👍🏻✌🏻
You guys should make a video on how to register your planes and how to get everything legally approved you guys do so good with the tutorials that video would be a great video
Just bought a spitfire from the link based on this list. Have been wanting a plane for a while and I like the fact that they are small and I'll be able to fly it at my park down the road rather than having to look for massive free space. You guys are legends. Love the videos
I’m happy to say I’ve chosen the sport cub s2. I love the realistic looks of this plane combined with the fact that it’s so controllable. I will buy my first trainer through your link. You have my word. Thanks guys so much and congrats on the little one on the way
I love seeing all the vehicles behind you. I did finish the Wrathe Spawn I got from you Nate. I haven't gotten it out crawling yet( we got a couple feet of snow). If you want to see photos, text me. All my planes are now in storage till spring now.
My p51 got ripped in half by a lab and golden retriever. Like a Godzilla movie. Gorilla glue and Soutering, ailerons are held with strips of masking tape, plus hundreds of crashes, three couplers, 6 propellers. Best money I’ve ever spent
There are several of the advanced pilots at our club that also have Aeroscouts, and make that beginner plane fly more like an advanced stunt model. It really does seem like a model that won't be outgrown too soon. Were I starting out now, I would definitely go with it. A plus is that it's also included in RealFlight, so the beginner can get some practice with the model on the simulator, before putting the real thing in the air.
Hi Nate and Abby! I'm having a hard time trying to decide between buying either the Arrows Pioneer RTF or the HobbyZone AeroScout. From your videos I figured out some differences between the two planes: Arrows Pioneer RTF: 🛩 Flies Faster Looks Cooler (in my opinion) Bigger in size More Expensive HobbyZone AeroScout: 🛩 Safer to Fly Easier to Fly Smaller in size Less Expensive Are there any more detailed differences between them seeing that you guys are quite familiar with flying them? e.g.(take-off/ landing/ battery life/ stunts/ "safe" system/ parts availability/ transmitter, etc.) Many thanks! 🙏😃 P.S. Love your videos, wish you guys an early Merry Christmas! 🎄
Well, I’m about to make the jump back into RC. Ive been out for 40+ years, and am now retired, so I have the time. I love the breakdown of beginner planes, and think I will go with the aeroscout.
Talk about AMA, I had someone knock the mirror off of my truck but it snapped back in. I also burned down my garage in 2005 and AMA paid $1000 which I was able to get to flying again since I lost everything (RC) in the fire!!
I really get a kick out of how different things are now. How many of you remember when the Ace single channel pulse proportional radios were high tech? I wish I still had my actuators and receivers because I still have my transmitter.
For the arrow scout I think that expert mode is beder be cause of turning issues most people don’t like the beginner mode at my air field including me but it flies great with expert.
I have an aeroscout and have been learning with a veteran flying buddy of mine. I like some of the smaller planes but he said I shouldn't consider those yet
To me, no list of best beginner RC planes is complete without the FMS Super EZ with Reflex gyro - especially the RTF version. Perfect plane to learn to fly.
Great top 5 beginner video you guy's, by chance have you guys done a video on the beginner plane apprentice s15e, I trained on this plane and learned to fly, great beginner plane, I still fly her often
My first plane I got was the omphobby s720 and in less than a week I bent the motor. After that I spent several weeks flying in rc sims and got a mini bf109. I only got to fly that plane once and with my luck the ac vent dripped straight on to the remote. Then after that I got the big aero scout and I was super excited to fly it. Everything worked pretty good and on the day I went to fly it the controller completely stopped working. I put new batteries in the controller, checked all of the wires and I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. So after all of that just trying to get something that flys in the air for more than just two days, I decided to stick with rc cars. I still really like watching you guys have a blast with crazy edf jets and other planes but I guess they are not for me.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the “jet” is not an actual jet, it’s powered by an electric ducted fan (edf) which is basically a glorified prop. Still looks awesome tho.
The Aeroscout and the s720 are the only planes that I fly consistently for past 2 years. Not only is the Aeroscout is a great LOS beginner plane, it is a great air frame for my inav experiments too. Stable, predictable characteristics, and at a flip of a switch to manual mode, it is almost the same as fun as the s720 as an aerobatic plane. I don't think I need another fixed wing plane (although I bought zohd drift, AR 900 and they still work but I neglected them). People at park often do not believe me that 2 planes for less than $500 is all I need for the fun hobby for a couple years.
I want to get into the hobby so I watched many lists and planes for begginers and many people said thet the cheap a380 and/or b787 (so small but not too slow and not to fast)
I’d like a comparison of planes that don’t need a runway. Many people do not have access to one, maybe just a field with long grass. I love my Conscendo Evolution because I can launch it from hand and land it even in long grass, but what else is there? As far as I know some of the slower jets don’t need landing gear?
So as a relative noob to both planes and drones, I have a question: would you recommend adjusting controllers to have the same input regardless of vehicle? Ie left stick forward is down back is up for both planes and drone. I fear that switching up and down by vehicle may cause a wreck due to unintentional reflex
Didn't sound like complaining at all to me. You've clearly never had kids you would understand at some point in your young life, you started a hobby and had kids later on in life. That doesn't mean you don't have bad priorities. I wish them the best tbh. And 5k? That's like 2 or 3 rcs for some people, , the newest rc plane controllers are like 2k dollars before you even buy the plane bro they are not living beyond their means lol get a grip son.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME GUYS!!!!....It feels good to know that I have one of the planes on this list and have it because of you both actually I bought 2 of them 😁 and that's the arrows pioneer I absolutely loved it so much I had to have 2 lol one is actually a donor if something bad happens lol love supporting mom and pop shops and shops right here in the good ole u.s of a 😁 I do intend on getting a "few" more jets and ONLY because of your reviews on them....not hating on other yt reviewers but you guys are #1 in my opinion on planes, jets, cars &trucks 🤌🏽 Happy Thanksgiving to you both and your families and once again congratulations on the little one 🥳 🙏🏽oh and I can't leave popeye out🐶😁✌🏽⚓️#1
The echine p51 had the lowest stall speed and flew better than my ME109 and Corsair. I can literally cut the throttle and it would float down. The ME109 tends to tip stall more at slow speeds
How long of a run time do these usually get? Im new to rc and was wondering if these get a longer run time then a typical quad drone. If not what does? And are there any that can easily fit in a backpack, with other gear, and get a few hours? Or are quads the way to go?
While I recommend the Aeroscout to everyone who wants to start flying, I learned on a UMX Radian and a Hobbyzone Champ. After that, I started building my own Flite test planes.
Hi guys, would you recommend the Eachine p51 or the wltoys ax 220(the p40) considering that in my country (South Africa) the ax220 is 75% the price of the eachine.
Hi. I got my first RC plane 4 months ago, it is a foam piper cub. I fly it pretty good and I want a bush plane that has everything like radio, wires ... but they are hard to find. I am from Europe so I can t even find a site or plane that sells there and is including radio
I don't even own a rc plane or rc anything but this looks difficult flying so i want to buy one to learn. i just hope it's not as difficult as vice city rc mission
Go crazy and do a top 5 for 3 Channel planes. There may not be 5 3 channel planes currently in production. If you were to go 'All Time', I'd nominate the Hobbyzone Super Cub for the #1 slot. I think most would agree. It got me started in the hobby 15 years ago and it's a shame that it's no longer in production. I guess it got replaced by the Aeroscout which appears to be an awesome plane as well.
Hi all-- love your videos! My 6 Soon to be 6 year old watches your plane and boat videos on the way to school often! Quick question-- we are planning to buy him his first RC plane for his upcoming birthday. Which would you recommend for a novice flyer?? Where do I buy so you all get credit? Thank you!
You got to be careful with those eachine planes though.. i bought after watching your vids great vids by the way watch you guy's all the time but !!! First one i had something wrong would not go down so keaped going up in circles was trying to trim by the time noticed would not trim down enough could berly see it lol . Then bought second one 2 to 3 flights in battery in transmitter failed which i got beeping warning and had cheap batteries so did not beep for long !! When that happened plane leveled out and keaped going in the sunset lol !! Should have shut down fail safe !! Just thought id share but my bad !! It my fault could have done a few things differently lol . But am beginner and expensive enough in Canadian money so beginners be carefu l!! Keep the vids coming doing great job !!

Hi
Agreed 100% with the Aeroscout RTF!! Bought my 9 year old son one for his birthday and after a few simulator flights on RealFlight he looked like a pro from his initial take off. Seeing your video on the Trojan made his choice to move up to the Trojan an easy one for him. Thanks for the informative videos!!
I learned to fly on that p51, you can slam it into the ground and it’s fine.
Ridgifoam?
Nice
What material are the planes?
@@eggman-pl8oj they are epp foam I believe
I have the p 51 too and it will not break! I have crashed it into everything
Agree with the list. Aeroscout for the win!! The Eachine planes are fun to fly. My F4U has alot of hours on it.

Started on the p51 that you guys suggeted . Love that hole line up. I now have 3 of them .

Hello Abby and Nate. My favorite is the Aeroscout that I bought myself. Am happy with it. 👍😃🤚🇱🇺🛩️✈️🐨🐻🐹🍀🍀🍀🍀
this video is super helpful and it made me interested about buying my own plane! Thank you for this video
the Areo scout is a great great plane to start with or add to your collection without doubt one of the funnest flyers i own apprecitate this video

I’m new to RC planes and I picked up a Sport Cub S2. This thing is amazing! I can’t imagine having more fun with just a couple hundred bucks.
Cool to see some old footage of your earlier rc airport :-)
Awsum you guys.......I think Abby will need a rest after this video oxo great stuff 😎
I’m happy to say I’ve chosen the sport cub s2. I love the realistic looks of this plane combined with the fact that it’s so controllable. I will buy my first trainer through your link. You have my word.
Thanks guys so much and congrats on the little one on the way

Hi Nate and Abby! I'm having a hard time trying to decide between buying either the Arrows Pioneer RTF or the HobbyZone AeroScout. From your videos I figured out some differences between the two planes:
Arrows Pioneer RTF: 🛩
Flies Faster
Looks Cooler (in my opinion)
Bigger in size
More Expensive
HobbyZone AeroScout: 🛩
Safer to Fly
Easier to Fly

Are there any more detailed differences between them seeing that you guys are quite familiar with flying them? e.g.(take-off/ landing/ battery life/ stunts/ "safe" system/ parts availability/ transmitter, etc.) Many thanks! 🙏😃
P.S. Love your videos, wish you guys an early Merry Christmas! 🎄
Well, I’m about to make the jump back into RC. Ive been out for 40+ years, and am now retired, so I have the time. I love the breakdown of beginner planes, and think I will go with the aeroscout.
Thx for the video!! You guys are so awesome as always. Abby is so beautiful also. Blessings to both of you!!
what's your favorite eachine warbird?
Excelente video compañero saludo desde Algeciras Cádiz España 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤❤
Hes right
To me, no list of best beginner RC planes is complete without the FMS Super EZ with Reflex gyro - especially the RTF version. Perfect plane to learn to fly.
8:16 what camera did you film those pov shots with
Great top 5 beginner video you guy's, by chance have you guys done a video on the beginner plane apprentice s15e, I trained on this plane and learned to fly, great beginner plane, I still fly her often
Great video, at first I was nervous to start this hobby because of the price. But for under 100 bucks crashing wont hurt so bad. 👍
Nice list.
Abby... you look well! 🙂
Thank you!! 👍😁😎⚓️
I still really like watching you guys have a blast with crazy edf jets and other planes but I guess they are not for me.
man this video has me looking at getting the cub again
Thank you so much for these suggestions. Aero scout is so amazing.
Cool hope the Abbey is recovering ok....Miss yall
Thank you!! 🙏💯❤️⚓️
that belli its getting even bigger:D
Correct me if I am wrong, but the “jet” is not an actual jet, it’s powered by an electric ducted fan (edf) which is basically a glorified prop. Still looks awesome tho.
Cleetus McFarland brought me here :) great vid for a noob like me
I’m learning how to fly my eflite p51
What do you mean?
The transmitter control inputs are the same for plane and drone/heli
Stark Dale
What motor does the p51 d have? Electric ⚡️ or petrol ⛽️ ?
electric
@@erinpost4540 thanks
Congratulations on your family and channel.
Complaining as parents for buying off brand foods for their family as they are sitting in front of $5,000 worth of rc’s 😂 priorities
Also keep in mind that business expenses can be a tax write off. They have to invest in RC stuff to get their influencer venture off the ground.
The p51 wing stalls easily, the t28 floats flat and lands itself
Geez that baby is growing big!!!!!
It won’t be too much longer now! 👍⚓️
How long of a run time do these usually get? Im new to rc and was wondering if these get a longer run time then a typical quad drone. If not what does? And are there any that can easily fit in a backpack, with other gear, and get a few hours? Or are quads the way to go?
Happy Thanksgiving to your family
While I recommend the Aeroscout to everyone who wants to start flying, I learned on a UMX Radian and a Hobbyzone Champ. After that, I started building my own Flite test planes.
What about the FMS 1220mm ranger?
Presley Lock
Is there a single list that you do with out the aero scout
Great video and info ... what are your thoughts on the regulations around the world for the RC hobby ... ???
We believe there is a lot of misinformation out there on this subject and a LOT of people trying to cash in on the “fear” people associate with it. ⚓️
Which one has the best battery?
Hi guys, would you recommend the Eachine p51 or the wltoys ax 220(the p40) considering that in my country (South Africa) the ax220 is 75% the price of the eachine.
Do you need your own controller for any of them?
nope all are rtf some are optional but all can get rtf
Hi. I got my first RC plane 4 months ago, it is a foam piper cub. I fly it pretty good and I want a bush plane that has everything like radio, wires ... but they are hard to find. I am from Europe so I can t even find a site or plane that sells there and is including radio
Blessings and congratulations on your soon-to-be born baby!
I don't even own a rc plane or rc anything but this looks difficult flying so i want to buy one to learn. i just hope it's not as difficult as vice city rc mission
How did you get the pioneer I cannot find it anywhere on Horizon Hobby
Please can we have intermediate list
Does the arrow trekker come with a remote?
I just blew all my money on a pc lol, I’ll probably get one the p51 everyone is talking about
Go crazy and do a top 5 for 3 Channel planes.
Three channel planes do exist, but good ones are so hard to find. Probably one of the best ones on the market is the Night Radian 👍😁😎⚓️
the sport cub s2 flew off on me, it malfunctioned idk why but I’m super sad now :(
I agree with your list is really good, in my opinion id say the new UMX Timber X should have been up there.🙂
Hi all-- love your videos! My 6
Soon to be 6 year old watches your plane and boat videos on the way to school often!
Yo dude can u make a list for the best rc planes for beginners for Australian rc planes cause I really want a rc plane so can u make a list pls
What’s the difference between the Australian and other planes
ABBY is the best RC wife anyone could have! 👍🏻😁
