Thanks for this man! Not many people react to this song (it’s not one of their bigger ones), but I’ve always loved this song and the album it’s from (A Dramatic Turn of Events). At some point, their song “Octavarium” is a must. It’s the modern prog magnum opus.
Dance of Eternity is jumping right into the deep end, probably their craziest song with the time changes and transitions, which is why it's probaly most popular. Not the best introduction to them though IMO. Most of their songs have vocals, but they have several instrumentals.

Interesting you describe it as controlled chaos. Dream Theater has an album called Systematic Chaos. It's also incredibly INSANE and EPIC!!
