I can tell this series will be one with those episodes waiting for me after a long school day. Turning on my switch, getting on my IPad, getting on my world, playing the new video.. perfection!
I've been looking forward to this new series by Pixlriffs, and am especially delighted that he took the time in the first few episodes to review the various game options and settings available before starting a new world. Though I have been playing Minecraft for more than ten years, I enjoyed the review and learned a thing or two that I may have overlooked or forgotten. My own first random world in MC 1.18 started in a Badlands biome near an ocean with no trees in sight. I stuck with it for the challenge. There were dead bushes around so I was able to obtain sticks, but that alone wouldn't do. I had to wander a bit until I came to a small island with five biomes on it, including a micro-biome desert with a temple! The other biomes included badlands, savannah, plains and jungle. This really turned out to be a fantastic start with a multitude of different resources close to hand. I'm enjoying the way 1.18 makes the terrain, caves and waterways look more natural than ever before, and the new ore distribution has kicked the challenge up a notch. I'm having a great time in my new world, and am looking forward to see what Pixlriffs does with his, and what I may learn from this new Survival series. Thank you, Pixlriffs! I'll be eagerly anticipating each new episode.
I survived my first night in Minecraft back in 1.14 when I first picked up the game, thanks to Pixlriffs's first survival guide series! What a happy coincidence that my UA-cam search lead me to his channel. Now, as a more seasoned player, I STILL enjoy his content and continue to learn and grow! Thanks, Pix for the great content!
So excited for a new season of this! Even as a long time veteran (I remember the before times when beds were a wish you had while hiding in a 3x1 hole) your guide has both entertained me and even taught this old dog some new tricks! I make sure you’re always part of my recommendations to new players. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you for what you do.
It's amazing how you can make a guide full of stuff that everyone who has played Minecraft before knows (not saying it's bad you haven't, this is a guide for beginners) but still make it entertaining for those who have played Minecraft for a long time
Full lockdown in the UK, I'm home isolating after 1 month of covid and I find a video of a dude that makes tutorial of minecraft. Let's watch one, I have nothing to do... 1.5 years later I've watched nearly every single video you published and here we are with season 2 of the Survival Guide. Amazing!
I played along with the last survival guide for quite a while cuz I was bored with minecraft and went on to other things, then later came back. Here I am again after a hiatus to other games and this is here waiting for me like an old friend. :)
Whoo! Season 2, let's go! As a more experienced player, I'm always curious how others manage their inventory. I've played the game for many years and still feel like I haven't mastered it yet XD Although I play a bit differently from others; I've played on a laptop touchpad for a very long time so I'm not accustomed to the scroll wheel, and still don't use shields much so my off-hand slot is usually for torches. Your approach makes sense, though!
I only use shields in the early game before I have good armor and enchants. After that, the shield feels kind of superfluous, so my offhand is generally used for torches as well since I play in hard and not hardcore mode.
I love that you made this in the 1.18 because i haven't played minecraft so i don't know how to surrvive or what to do so this really helps alot appreciate it
After playing for seven years I'd completely forgotten about this version of a starter home! I often find myself feeling pressured to make a pretty starter house and get into it right away, but this has made me miss the slow, paced-out kind of early game that I haven't done in a very long time. Thanks for reminding me that this is an option too
Haven't watched the episode yet (not even through the opening ads, tbh), but I wanted to take a moment to say how excited and happy I am to get to watch this, to be along for this new leg of the journey. I first started watching the survival guide around summer 2020, and it was one of those wonderfully entertaining series, explaining things I knew of, but did not understand, and casting new light on a classic game I've grown up playing. Cheers to season 2!!!
I really really appreciate the beginner friendliness of this series. I mean 1.18 is coming out with a bang so there will be so much first time new minecraft players. They will need this series for sure. Pixl can make this series so much enjoyable for regular minecraft viewers too. Props to Pix.
Wait I was rechecking to make sure this one's 1.18, cause the titles is same as the old first episode Anyway hyped to be part of this journey, and recollecting so many memories along the way💥⚡

Pix, I watched the entire survival guide during quarantine and I loved it so much. The only issue was that I picked Minecraft back up during that time so the patches weren’t the same as your videos! So I’m super super happy that you’ve started a season 2 because now I’m going to be so inspired and motivated. Love your videos ❤️
Out off ALL 1.18 let's plays that have started, this one I decided to play along with you. I have crops growing and I am going after the sheep for the animal pen, I decided to place a secret room behind the waterfall to place chest for the wheat that is grown. Thank you
I started watching the Season 1 when I finally decided to make the plunge into the game. And I watched every episode. Your tutorial style is the perfect pace and you teach without feeling like you know more than someone else. It's a skill I don't have, so it should be celebrated.
I just want to say, as a returning player who has difficulty figuring out how to play minecraft, this series is a gift from heaven. You articulate your thought processes well and cater to multiple audiences, and I appreciate you for that
You know, I've been playing this game since 2012, and I STILL love watching these videos. Although the slowness of it gets dry sometimes, I just love watching you adventure through the game and play :)
As a newbie in my first few months of playing, this guide is already helping me understand where I'm still stumbling even after getting the hang of it on normal. Thanks!
I really enjoyed the first season of the Survival Guide, and I'm excited to see what this new season brings!! I hope you do some of those less intensive and not super progress driven episodes, or where you just go completely out of the box for solutions, those were my favorite. I even have a list of my favorite episodes that I rewatch whenever I'm having a bad mental day (in no particular order, number is episode number): How to breed all the animals (76) One block tall secret passages (177) How to tame foxes (169) how to make minecraft map art (166) What to do when you die (103) building a medieval marketplace (79) Ink farm pt.1 (81) How to improvise a build like this (190) Transporting Villagers using lava (212) Definitely recommend these if you're struggling and want to relax. Personally I think the animal breeding and taming foxes are my all time favorites. Pix, thank you for the videos!!
I’m so happy about season two. I found you halfway into season one and there was no way that I was going to catch up and watch all of those videos. But now I can watch it as it comes out. Thank you!
I've been super excited for the season 2 of the minecraft survival guide! It feels like ages since we've been waiting for it ^^. A recommendation that was stated months ago, in a live stream of yours (Netherite digging live stream), was that you could put the total survival guide episode numbers in the description, it'll be combining the old and the new survival guide season, and additionally, the "filler" episodes (The one about video settings, dictionary, hotkeys, etc.).
I was legit waiting for this after season 1 ........." Hello everyone my name is pixlriffs and welcomeback to the minecraft survival guide '" with a addition season 2 .......great start .......
Man, I started watching your Survival Guide mid season and I immediately loved it. So glad to be here now, starting this series with you. Can't wait to see where it heads :)

Thanks a lot for your guidance. Hope this season reaches over 400 episodes because a lot of additional stuffs and advancements in 1.18
Definitely a more beginner-friendly vibe, but seeing it brought back a lot of nostalgia from when I began playing the game several years ago. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching this series with great interest.
This is wonderful!! I started playing when the first survival guide started (I watched every episode :)) So many things were strange to me as an older person learning to play my first game of this type. I think that due to Minecraft's growing popularity there are many new players who can appreciate this thorough approach to learning the game. Excellent video, thank you Pixlriffs!
Somehow, after all these years playing minecraft, having allready watched all of the previous survival guide, having done a lot of the things myself, Pixlriffs still managed to entertain me with a video of him surviving his first night in a minecraft world. You are amazing my dude!
I enjoy that you take it slow and let the world tell you what's best when starting, and like a few other MC UA-camrs I watch, you're not over the top and annoying like some of the ones that hit the Trending list.
I haven't played since 1.8 and feel soo far behind and out of the game, hoping this series will help get me up to speed. This was definitely a great starting video :) look forward to continuing the series
watching the episode 100 tour and then coming back to see how it all started feels oddly nostalgic. Pixl really makes it feel like he is taking you on this journey with him and it's very captivating. keep it up ❤
Even if you explain everything thoroughly for beginners I can still very much enjoy your content, even if I’ve played for several years:) the last season was what brought me back to the game after a couple years of not playing, thank you!
I dont even need the guide, being the 2011 player I am, but I still watch these just because this guy is so fun and nice to watch. (But I still learn new things as well sometimes)
Excited to see this. I started playing this game back in beta version and have never stopped enjoying it. I really enjoyed the original “Survive and Thrive” series with PSJ. And nothing could replace that series. BUT, this series is so similar that I have fallen in love with it. You do a great job and while I know all that you are teaching, I very much love watching it. I really really appreciate the beginner friendliness of this series. I mean 1.18 is coming out with a bang so there will be so much first time new minecraft players. They will need this series for sure. Pixl can make this series so much enjoyable for regular minecraft viewers too. Props to Pix.
Survive is good 👍
Congrats on the start of season 2, Pix! Looking forward to all of the shenanigans you'll get up to in this world :)
Love the survival guide but wish Pixlriffs would've made this world Bedrock and Java compatible.
From what ive heard, bedrock and java seeds make nearly the same world now
@@-FutureTaken- they are but only to 9 digits this seed is much longer and doesn't exist on bedrock
Not only does he make a godly good survival guide, but he also cares about us and doesnt care about being popular. Respect
Wait I was rechecking to make sure this one's 1.18, cause the titles is same as the old first episode
Anyway hyped to be part of this journey, and recollecting so many memories along the way💥⚡
Midnight in New Zealand watchin pixls new season lets go..
My OCD hits me when he miss one slab at his starting house 😅
Yeah exactly 😅
so excited!! love the og survival guide series so much can’t wait to experience this new adventure! 🤍
The legendary series is back, I was not able to watch the first season from the start, but I am excited for this.
The seed is sadly only for Java Edition, excited to see what happens in the future though!
No seed parity for bedrock its the same seed now, but the structures might be differnet
@@rudalph529 no bedrock only has 32 bit seeds but his seed is 64 bit
@@rudalph529 If you read the description, the seed is java only. Also, Bedrock only has seeds up to the 32-integer limit, while Java has seeds up to the 64-integer limit.
Pix, I watched the entire survival guide during quarantine and I loved it so much. The only issue was that I picked Minecraft back up during that time so the patches weren’t the same as your videos! So I’m super super happy that you’ve started a season 2 because now I’m going to be so inspired and motivated. Love your videos ❤️
i bet 90% of the people who watch this are not new to minecraft but watched season 1
I remember watching the very first episode of the Minecraft Survival Guide season 1, thank you so much pix.
I wanted this from a long time Minecraft survival guide 1.18
You articulate your thought processes well and cater to multiple audiences, and I appreciate you for that
i still watch this series even in all my years of Minecraft, its just one of those things that anybody can enjoy. hype for season 2!
You know, I've been playing this game since 2012, and I STILL love watching these videos. Although the slowness of it gets dry sometimes, I just love watching you adventure through the game and play :)
I found out about season 1 too late and watched all of the episodes out of order, I'm happy to be here to see this from the start this time!
I really appreciate the slow start, compared to some others who will build an entire house and get diamonds in episode 1. Let the world breath!
I even have a list of my favorite episodes that I rewatch whenever I'm having a bad mental day (in no particular order, number is episode number):
How to breed all the animals (76)
One block tall secret passages (177)
How to tame foxes (169)
how to make minecraft map art (166)
What to do when you die (103)
building a medieval marketplace (79)
Ink farm pt.1 (81)
How to improvise a build like this (190)
Transporting Villagers using lava (212)
Definitely recommend these if you're struggling and want to relax.
I am so hyped for this series! The first season was the series that I watched first when I got back to minecraft after a couple of years and that was sooo good! You reignited my love for minecraft and I'm really thankful for that. Keep up the great work and take care, bye for now! :D
Let's goooooooooooooo pixlriffs! One of my favourite channels of Minecraft and the most favourite and best series, because of S1, i got a lot better in mc, and now i made my own server with my friend, and we have just mastered mc, very happy to get the old season back and in 1.18!
A huge amount has changed since 1.8, hope you have fun catching up!
watching the episode 100 tour and then coming back to see how it all started feels oddly nostalgic.
Pixl really makes it feel like he is taking you on this journey with him and it's very captivating.
keep it up ❤
I've always played bedrock edition but you were the first guide/survival series I ever watched which is why enjoy you videos more then bedrock guides
Please keep them coming.
