Bill Kenwright’s spectacularly stunning and hilariously funny new production of La Cage Aux Folles is currently on its first national UK tour.
Georges and the dazzling drag artiste Albin, otherwise known as Za Za and the star of la Cage aux Folles, live an idyllic existence in the heart of St Tropez. But behind the curtains of this sparkling extravaganza, all may be about to change. Georges’ son Jean-Michel announces his engagement to the daughter of a notorious right-wing politician determined to close down the local colourful night-life. Drama and hilarity ensue when a meeting of the parents forces them to cover up their vibrant lifestyle.
Will Albin be able to play the role of his life to ensure that Jean-Michel can marry his love?
The cast features West End star John Partridge whose extensive theatre credits include the West End productions of A Chorus Line at the London Palladium, Cats, Starlight Express and Chicago. He is also played the loveable Christian in BBC’s EastEnders. Alongside him is Broadway star Adrian Zmed, whose credits include Blood Brothers, Grease and Falsettos. On television he played Officer Vince Romano alongside William Shatner in the long running hit series T.J. Hooker and big screen credits include Johnny in Grease 2. Joining them is West End icon, Marti Webb. She received huge critical acclaim for Tell Me on a Sunday, a show specifically written for her by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black.
The show-stopping score includes The Best of Times, With You on My Arm and the iconic I Am What I Am.
A magnificent performance! The people of the world all over need to accept everyone no matter who they are!

This show is so fun and moving.
Beautiful voice, love him, and love this performance. 💖
I got a little emotional seeing him walk on stage! He's so beautiful!

Both John Partridge and John Barrowman knock this song out of the park!
Maravillosos intérpretes, dignos de respeto y admiración. Artistas genuinos del arte Burlesque.

Interesting interpretation of the song XD
Wanted to see this but I had exams :(
Brilliant👍⚘
I love this song, and I love this show - in all its many incarnations. I'm in the US, so didn't get to see this production... and I'm "alphabetical" myself, so asking with all respect and from within the fam... Because there's one thing that throws me here - and maybe it's only for this amphitheater performance ... but is there some story-driven reason (integral to this production) for the very "meaty tucks" several of the dancers are sporting? Is it just a little more "what I am," and a little less "illusion?" Or? Though honestly... hoof like that, and you can wear whatever you want, as far as i'm concerned 😃.. just wondering, in case anyone actually knows. Many thanks.
Harvey fierstien is truly legendary
♥Patridge♥
Well, those are are very pretty men
Diana Dee not all men. Listen and you can hear the ladies.
Smile John. XX
🔥
How about a stop in Germany, namely Hamburg
A truly lovely musical and story....but sadly John's version of "I am what I am" isn't my favourite....he's a great vocalist, but I'm slightly bias, having seen the original..many years ago. Go see it...you'll love it.
Choices
This show needs a total make-over with new actors/singers, staging, customs and especially directing. Keep the iconic music and songs with a few more amazing new songs, dance numbers sauntered in and with me playing Zsa-Zsa and the show would be a SMASH !!!
sorry, still stuck on Gary Beach & George Hearn as Albin - Partridge loads too much performance into it
THE LAST NOTE OMG
Few men can do this
Wow, the first time i've seen this. IMHO Partridge's interpretation is over-sung and doesn't do much... Compared to Doulas Hodge (perhaps a little unfair as Hodge is amazing) I think it's pretty pedestrian and just goes for the 'money notes' and not a lot more.
The first trans musical Eaun Morton is not in
This is everything I hate about big musicals. Fuck they've turned a musical about being unique into Top Hat crossed with Singing in the rain, simply horrible
Danny Flanagan um no?
