- Here is the B-Roll for the 2004/2005 Broadway revival of La Cage aux Folles, book by Harvey Fierstein, music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, directed by Jerry Zaks, choreographed by Jerry Mitchell and starring Gary Beach, Daniel Davis and Gavin Creel.
I saw this version 3 times. Gary Beach owns it!
Wow ! Stunning production and cast !
Thank you so much for sharing ❤
You're welcome. I realize now that the other footage I uploaded is from a different shoot than this (curious what it was for then...ah history :)
@@gionmusic I think that footage was for the 2005 Broadway Beat video
@@dangly9509 I think you’re right (and am impressed:)
@@gionmusic By the chance, do you have anything from the original broadway production of La Cage and the 1998 revival of The Sound of Music? Thank you for all of the recent uploads, they are in a REALLY GOOD quality ❤️
@@dangly9509 I have Sound of Music B-Roll with Benanti and Chamberlain...
This revival got far less attention than it deserved I felt was a better cast/production compared to the more rent one with Kelsey Grammar and Douglas Hodges.
Oh my god 😭
Thank you for this.
Rip Gary Beach
FYI directed by Jerry Zaks not Jerry Oaks
Can’t believe it took a year for that spellcheck fail to get noticed. Thanks!

How many of the chorus girls are guys?.
all of them?
it's almost like it's meant to be part of the plot. crazy ik
This look ok, but it makes it look more like Follie Bergere than a small drag class in St Tropez.
The best production is still the Douglas Hodge one. Scaling down the show was the right thing to do.
It wasn't written to be a 'small" drag club in San Tropez, that was a concept in the 2010 production. The Original production in the 80's was incredibly extravagant.
Terrible!! I saw the original on Broadway.
