yeah maybe, but you have to take into account the loss of power, the deaths from starvation and low level civil war after the regime fell too. For the first few years after the war life for an average Iraqi was much worse than under Saddam, and some estimates have it at millions dead. Time will tell in the long run. I'm still not sure if the invasion was a good thing over the long run.

Rudy you are such an inspiration. I can relate to a rough start in life and using that to move yourself forward in a positive way. Finding balance and staying positive and helping others see the same in themselves is a goal in my life that I work at daily. Being a nurse is one of my routes to doing this. Now I need to refocus during my workouts to find that intensity again LOL!!

What I admire the most about Rudy is his mental balance, health and strength. Even though he killed many people he still remain sane and well balanced. I bet it is his spiritual connection in Buddhism.
Lead by example and you will be great because you will simultaneously push yourself and inspire others.

first off we swore to defend the constitution yet we haven't had a constitutional declaration of war since WW2. 2nd they're for economic interests. it's difficult to come to grips with it at first but it's true. History has a strange way of repeating itself & when u ask sum of the german soldiers who fought in WW2 they'll tell u they weren't fighting for hitler but for germany. they literally thought they were fighting to defend their home
I think he's a remarkable man, and in his Buddhism has taught me a LOT about my own Christianity, but I must say I disagree with his opinion on the war.
Was there a realpolitik strategic consideration to it? Of course. BUT, I disagree that we did nothing for the people. The Surge was all about counter-insurgency, which centers around interacting and protecting the people.
I'm bothered that such a gentle man believes he became a bully, because I believe he believes so in error.
