Bro, try not to use just the hook, it might snap, the white strap is supposed to be used with the hook, so the metal of the hook isn't stressed.... But those rafters are 2x6s it would support the weight wood of yesteryear is stronger then todays wood. If you attach a 2x4 across the beams and screw into the 2x6s.... More then one, it will be more then strong enough.
