Holy moly! I do not think I have ever gotten such amazingly helpful advice on this topic EVER! And it’s FREEEEEE! I am almost 60 yrs old, working 2 jobs, (70+hrs a week), I have no desire to continue this until I’m 90! Lol. I am looking to remote work to relieve my part time job! (Hopefully). I have watched so many videos, & I know I made a comment regarding this previously, but their are so many scams just here on YT. I just wanted to thank you again for the priceless, legitimate, information!
@karenkingrey6142 - Thanks so much for your kind feedback. We're working on the next installment of the video course and that will give even more in-depth information about really leveraging Google, in combination with other tools, to add jet fuel to your search. Best of luck with your job search - maybe you'll find something you can do from home to replace BOTH of your jobs with just one!
I get it. I remember taking a class on this on Rat Race Rebellion website. I can't remember if it was free or if I paid for it. I also have the work from home book written by Christine here and Michael Haaran I think his name is?? Unfortunately it's VERY outdated as far as a lot of the sites and forums and even companies. But there's still a lot of good information in it. I started working from home in August 2005. Talk about scams back then 😀 nobody hardly believed me that I was working from home and it was my only income.
Mind BLOWN! I had no clue Google could be used in such a way! Thank you so much for this amazing training! God bless you all for helping others. Moving on to Module 4 😇
How can I set up an alert for a company that uses Icims for their ATS, but they don't have a job alert notifcation feature? This would save time from having to check their site each day.
You can set up a Google Alert using a format like this: "job title" + remote site:iCIMS.com Google Alerts can be a bit sporadic at times, so I also suggest conducting Google searches with the same kind of format and then bookmarking them. That way, you can just click the bookmark links and bypass all of the input. You can also set up TalkWalker alerts in the same way - www.talkwalker.com/alerts
Thank YOU for your feedback - I'm glad you found it useful, @daniellespears4428! I hope this and other information in the course will help you to find your PERFECT remote job!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Wow!!! Chris, I appreciate your videos and help more than I can say! Question: How would I phrase it if I do NOT want certain things in the jobs? just use the minus sign? Thank you!
You're welcome x 3! :-) Yes, you use the minus sign to eliminate results from certain sites from your results. For example: remote + "Customer Service" -craigslist.org OR remote + "Customer Service" -healthcare -medical OR remote + "Customer Service" -healthcare -medical -linkedin.com You can use mathematical symbols to fine-tune your searches in so many ways!
The company I work for hired me under the title Customer Service Representative and I soon learned it was much more. Now they has given me a title that doesn't encompass what I do either. Customer Accounts Specialist is the title. What I do is process orders via Infor, monitor pricing via Salesforce and communicate with buyers (Costco, Sysco, etc.) via email and phone. I work with Sales Reps, R&D, Pricing Coordinators and Transportation until delivery and assist with Return Authorizations as needed. I don't know how to find a job with my skill set. Any suggestions for the appropriate job title search would be appreciated.
Great question! I would suggest doing some reverse engineering to see what titles companies are assigning those working in roles doing similar tasks. The good news is, you can do this using the techniques from Modules 3 & 4. Try Google searches like these examples that incorporate the "site:" searches discussed in Module 3 in combination with the ATS-specific information from Module 4: salesforce + infor + support site:taleo.net salesforce + infor + support + pricing site:taleo.net salesforce + infor + support + "process orders" site:taleo.net salesforce + infor + support + "order processing" site:taleo.net Try these searches several times, swapping out the taleo.net part with other ATS we've included in the Module 4 "Links & Resources" at: ratracerebellion.com/free-course-module-4-find-jobs-before-everyone-else/ This process should help you get a bead on the titles companies are assigning to people doing the kind of work you are!
You will have to set up your searches to include the parameters you're looking for. For example: "data entry" + remote "data entry" + virtual "data entry" + "work from home" "data entry" + "home-based" "data entry" + position + remote Create as many variations as you can by swapping out the different words companies use to describe remote work (remote, remotely, work from home, work at home, home based, home office, virtual, etc.) as well as swapping out the phrase "data entry" for other commonly used job titles, (data processor, data registration, data collection, etc.)
Very interesting stuff never would have thought of this. All the scam videos and real stuff out there I tried I never heard of using Google like this. Doing great work thank you!

How do find a data entry clerk job using this search method?
You will have to set up your searches to include the parameters you're looking for. For example:
"data entry" + remote
"data entry" + virtual
"data entry" + "work from home"
"data entry" + "home-based"
"data entry" + position + remote
Create as many variations as you can by swapping out the different words companies use to describe remote work (remote, remotely, work from home, work at home, home based, home office, virtual, etc.) as well as swapping out the phrase "data entry" for other commonly used job titles, (data processor, data registration, data collection, etc.)
