Glad it was helpful! We love those site: ATS searches and use them daily in search of the jobs we post to the RatRaceRebellion.com site. Good luck with your job search!!
There is!! I mentioned Hilton in the video, so let's use that as an example. From their home page (www.hilton.com/en/) scroll down to the bottom of the page and click their careers link > in the "Search for Your Dream Job" field, enter anything (or nothing) and click the "Search Jobs" button > click on ANY JOB in their list to get to the job description > then click on the APPLY NOW button. Check the URL/website address in your browser and you'll see that you're now in the Taleo.net server. You can reverse engineer to determine the company's ATS like this in most cases!
When HR creates job descriptions they actually enter them directly into the Applicant Tracking Software. From there, they can choose to post to: 1. just their corporate site, 2. just their corporate site with a set date to post to major job boards, OR 2. their site AND major job boards at the same time. When you search using the techniques explained in this video, many of the jobs you find will still be in in the "on corporate website only" phase and that's the IDEAL TIME to apply! This will put you ahead of the rush that occurs when that job hits the job boards. If you find it, and there's an APPLY BUTTON - you can apply! Go for it, @terybernard5300!! We hope to be hearing your success story soon! :-)

Thank you for this! My question is, what's the timeframe before it gets posted to job boards? How do you know the job has not already made it to job boards by the time you find the listing and apply? Also, are your chances really better if you're one of the first to apply?
You're very welcome! Time from internal posts to public posts varies from company to company -- some it's 2 weeks, other it's a matter of hours. Unless you go looking for specific jobs on some of the major job boards, you're not likely to know when job posts make that jump to the larger public. Regarding whether applying early helps -- Surveys and studies lean heavily toward the answer being YES! Being early means less "noise" and, assuming your application clears the ATS bots and you have the "right stuff", a higher likelihood of the talent acquisition folks getting in touch for an interview.
Thank you for the wonderful information, but let me tell you that once you set up your Google Alerts, most often they will send those alerts to your Spam/Junk folders. Just letting people know. Thank you again :)
Hi David. We usually catch them pretty quickly and make a note on the post, but we're always happy for a heads-up when you come across them. As I'm sure you've seen, some fill very quickly! We're hoping that, through this course, we can help people find more leads for themselves before employers are inundated with applications. I hope you're finding the modules useful thus far!
Great Information. This is going to be extremely helpful while in search for anew job at the moment. Thanks!

Do you want us to let you know when a new job posted to the site is no longer accepting applications?
