I see that most nail polish brands are coming out with pearl polishes this year BUT as for me being a 70 kid I LOVE it. ! ( old lady here 🙋🏻♀️😆)To me it screams Old Hollywood . To me it takes me back where women wear more dresses. To me It takes me back seeing my mother and my aunt wearing pearly polishes. 💅🏻So I have a personal love to pearl polishes since my mother and aunt are no longer with us . While others see it as old lady , I see it as classy. Great review as always. Thank you so much for your hard work. I really appreciate it ❤.
Omg yes! I don’t know why other bloggers trow so much dislike comments and bad reviews about the shimmer polishes, I love them! They look classy, efortless and ready to wear and make you look classy, femenine and timeless
I don't mind all the pearl finishes (although in fairness there have been a LOT lately), but I do mind formulas that are difficult to work with. In the other reviews I watched, most of the negativity was about the formulas of this collection. OPI has been doing polish for such a long time and I think we've all come to expect formulas that are easier to work with. Maybe if they had a wide brush for this collection the polishes would go on better. Just my 2 cents. The colors are pretty and summery for sure. Thank you for your hard work on this review, Laurie!
I think the color story is GORGEOUS but I do really feel like OPI should be able to do these colors with better formulas (take a cue from CG, Essie, and MT!). I'm not willing to pay OPI prices for Sinful Colors quality. As always, I'm so appreciative of all the work you put into these videos!
I like the pearly finishes over their companion color. You just moved those pearly finishes up in my mind because alone I was disappointed, but over the color, I saw the vision. Thank you for all the comparisons!
I actually really enjoy pearly finishes! I have shorties and I just think pearly finishes look so vintagey and make my nails look a little longer than they are when I wear them. Bikini Boardroom and I’m Yacht leaving are faves for me.
Hmmmm I do appreciate OPI adding new colors/tones to their resume, but I draw the line at having to potentially do 4 coats. I don’t ever mind having to do 3 coats as long as the formula isn’t finicky and I’m guaranteed full coverage after the third coat. But anything beyond that usually ends up looking too thick for my liking. With my super shaky hands, it’s really difficult for me to float a coat even after 10+ years of painting my nails multiple times a week, so that technique is a no go for me. I do pick up at least one polish from every collection though and one of those pinks might be the one I add to my collection! Thanks for the helpful review! I do appreciate the positivity!

I'm also enamored with the cooler toned polishes, but a 3 coater are deal breakers! Especially for basic cremes. The silver OPI polishes in this collection look streaky. I do like I'm yacht learning and Skate to the party. If you love cool toned Periwinkle polishes, you have to have OPI's I'M SUCH A BUDAPEST! I keep 3 bottles of Budapest in my collection because it goes with so many things. My fav combo is to wear I'm such a Budapest with 2 coats it's opaque and add China Glaze Fairy Dust as a topper. The holo effect of fairy dust is amazing over budapest! Try it for spring, summer and fall if you live in a sunny state like I do in Texas. I usually use that combo and paint my accent finger/s a contrasting green shade of polish with fairy dust as a topper! Enjoy! @gopolished

The pearl, velvet (aura/magnetic), and cat-eye (uses magnet to create a diagonal line) are all different effects! 😊 I suppose some pearls could slightly mimic a velvet… I like these pearls so I appreciate the positive review!

So I bought I'm Yacht Leaving and just put it on for the first time. The formula was not the best, kind of streaky. I did 2 coats, looks ok with glossy topcoat but probably could have done a 3rd coat. OPI used ro be my favorite nail polish but not so much anymore, they really need to step it up with their formula and beyter brush!
Although I haven’t gotten too much into pearl finishes, I do find some in their other collections to be gorgeous…like Suzi Takes a Sound Bath. I just wasn’t feeling these colors. I’m excited about their fall release!
Awww, I wanted to like this collection…. but other than Bikini Boardroom, Skate to the Party, Charge it To Their Room, (my faves), along with I Quit My Day Job and I’m Yacht Leaving (my top fave because it reminds me of my trips to, and the gorgeous waters of St. Maarten 🥰), not a big fan of the rest of them mostly because of the 3 coat’ish thing. Guess I’m almost 50/50 on it but I always love your reviews! 💯😂

I don’t love the pearly finish but I don’t hate them either. My problem is with a mainstream brand like OPI I expect good, solid formulas. The color will have to be super special to make me pick up something that is going to be somewhat difficult to work with and take 3 or more coats. I get the neons will likely be harder to work with and expect that but basic colors they should be solid two coats. I may pick up a couple of these but two will probably be it for me.
I was disappointed when I watched other reviews of this collection because three coats write off a polish for me, so I'm glad to see a couple were two coaters. I like the idea of putting a shimmery colour on top of a similar colour so may try that with polishes that don't require as many coats.
I had no idea this collection was coming out. I just got a similar pearly yellow (whispers) from Zoya that I’m psyched over. Well, I thought it was pearly but now I realize it has like a micro glitter instead. Nevertheless, I think for me it’ll be the color of the summer. I’m a little tired of creams right now in general so I’m very happy for this trend.

I’m wondering this also because I found out that Decked To The Pines from their last holiday collection was magnetic when I got it home and happen to have it sitting next to a magnet in my polish drawer! I don’t think that it was intentional on OPI’s part but my bottle definitely reacts to a magnet!

I got the bubble gum color “ I quit my day job” but the lid is silver. This is the first time I get an OPI nail polish with silver lid. The finish is completely opaque. So weird. I saw your lid is black. Does it has anything to do with the finish of the polish?
That is the same color but in the infinite shine line. That is their long lasting line. It should be great! I don't love the topcoat in that line but you can use any topcoat with it. 😃

Thank you. It looks fine after applying the Essie gel clear top coat. But it was so weird when I was applying it because the finish is ugly 😂😂
