I was watching your HW97K video again the other night and I noticed you put a white washer on the end of the spring ,when I stripped down my ne 97 a few months ago I was folding up the dust sheet I was working on the rifle with and found a white plastic washer. Luckily, I kept it in my washer tin ,so tonight after work, I stripped the 98 down again and fitted back in .Big thanks once again sir you are a legend 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Thanks Nick, your videos are much appreciated. I myself am a fan of spring air guns. I sold my pcp s and only kept my springers. In my Airarms TX200HC is a spring of yours. Greetz from Belgium .
Still can't understand 9 ft lbs of energy with a .22. For a game rifle it's more important to have shock. My HW95 is doing 11.3 ft lbs untouched and it's smooth enough for me at 30 yards. But I need a decent rest because of arthritis. I once had a HW95 with a Maglaza piston kit and that was smooth, but took a bit of fitting. Also, I'm sure the trajectory of a 11.3 ft lbs air rifle is far better than a 9 ft lbs air rifle, that's why I shoot Accupells because their light a 14.3 grains. Be interested in any comments.
You need 2200fps for hydrostatic shock to have effect, 1800 at a push, that is why .17hmr is so devastating compared to .22lr. With an air rifle you are simply destroying the organ by pushing a projectile through it. As long as it goes through it, the speed/power are irrelevant
