I saw the guy on the left side, using the iron worker wire holder..... why? Get a new set of bags designed specially for unión carpenters. Those bags has the special spot for tie wire. Check them out: REX TOOL BAGS. I'm right hand, so the left pouch (fastener bag) has 4 different bags for those 4 different nail what we use in the field, and the bag for tie wire. The right pouch (tool bag) has 21 different compartments to organized your tools. I really REALLY recommended those bags. Great quality and the warranty is for 2 years. So.....
Angel Meza honestly man you have to know someone most of the time, or you can go to the union hall ask for a packet of jobsites and go ask a super at any of the jobsites yourself! They basically have to sign a letter sponsoring you which then you take to the union! And booom, you start you journey as an apprentice, about to start mine good luck!
Rachel Galindo-What are you waiting for? They're hiring any body willing to do this kind of work, if women are really serious about closing the gap across the male dominated jobs, they need to do less marches and spend the time doing the actual work or else your equality may never come!
Wow my dad would fire them,Never seen somebody hit a 16 d nail eight times to drive it in,It should be one hate to say it won’t hurt to drive it at most if it takes more than that you’re not a Carpenter,And you angle them in a little bit Towards the formworkso it’s more solid hit

@@peterolvera9181 I’m a union laborer. As a laborer we have the skill set to do all type of trade work from Mason, carpentry and operating heavy equipment & pipe laying. We don’t have a set trade like Carpenters just do carpentry work, Masons just do mason work & operators just operates machines. Laborers is the jack of all trades, We are the underrated tradesman in the construction industry 💯
@@peterolvera9181 Yeah for real. I kept getting wrote up when I first joined the union. I had worked none union for 10 years before I joined. We done everything from digging the footings, tied the steel, set forms, set the anchor bolts, poured the mud...everything. That's what I was use to doing and I had a hard time adapting. I killed me to sit and watch someone else do the work I had been doing since I was 16 lol. But like you said they're serious about that. I finally got use to it.

Why are these cave men still using nails? screws......screws.......screws........
Cause with concrete you need shear strength. Screw will pop and your form will blow. Nails it will happen slowly and give you time
Great competition now check there green cards 😃
