Thanks for a great video!! I appreciate you! We went to Pizza Rios last week, it was a great experience. You guys should do a review and see what you think! They have many very unique pizzas, the staff and management were awesome...and surprisingly the Chicken Wings were off the hook good. Peace.
I will share the video with my husband because he loves pizza!! We are hoping to be back in the smokies in October!! Would love to meet you all and keep up the great work!!
4 of us from our girls trip had WBG last weekend. We had the Boggy pizza with the bacon jam. We all raved about the crust and the bacon jam. We spent some time axe throwing. Good time had by all. We will be back. We tried it because of the video you did months ago where you and the owner were handing out pizza to first responder, charities and on the strip. Thanks for the video
I have no idea why this showed up in my UA-cam home, but I'm glad it did!! I'm originally from the Rochester, NY area, and when I was stationed at Ft Campbell, it was a bit difficult to find pizza with the same type of crust + sauce that I was used to. Since it was only a few hours away, Gatlinburg would always be a fun weekend trip to relax and I was always extremely impressed with the local pizza places in eastern Tennessee, they seem to understand the right ratios and always made fantastic pizza. Easter this year we rented a cabin between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for the first time and I kept telling my wife I really wanted to get a pizza from somewhere. That didn't end up happing since some of the family with us have allergies to both gluten and dairy, but after seeing how much the area has grown since we had last visited in 2016ish, we plan to come back down, take out neices to Dollywood, and explore Pigeon Forge some more over summer, so I will definitely be checking some of these places out. That turned into much longer of a post than I meant for it to be, but thank you for this video, you've definitely earned a like + subscribe 😁
Thanks so much for joining us! There are some good spots in the area for sure. Definitely stop by West By God, ask for Ben, and tell him we sent ya. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again!
Enjoy this top 5 video format. Please do more of this style. I’m surprised you didn’t include big daddy’s. A lot of folks, us included absolutely love big daddy’s. Gonna give wbg a try next trip. Thanks for the suggestions!
I still gotta eat at 2-5 and got overruled when wanting to try pizza at the cove back in the fall. I also need to do the 1st one again as I think I did something’s wrong when I got it a few back. Another good thing about pizza with the cost of food so high. You can split a pizza 2/3 ways and avoid spending $20 per person for a meal.
@@zachsadventures1297 just shoot us an email. Thesmokymountainfamily@gmail.com. We have some friends and family in this week so we will do our best to coordinate.
3 out of 5 correct. Was wrong about Smoky Mountain Brewery and Solorzano's. I thought Best Italian and Big Daddy's. West by God was an easy one. :) Thanks family.
Love going out for great pizza. Pizza at home from scratch can be fun and delicious also, make your own dough (flour yeast water olive- oil) a simple sauce and shred your own cheese … Guarantee a great pizza every time. The pre shredded cheese in bags is convenient but they have anti caking agents on the cheese to prevent sticking. Shred your own, takes 5 minutes and you will get the best melt and taste, amazing difference. Great video SMF.
We have only tried the SMB pizza🍕 I took my family here to have 🍕 and they said it was delicious 😋 The next time in town we will be trying the #1 🍕 for sure👍 Thanks for sharing 🤗
I’ve never had the Smoky mountain brewery’s pizza but the pictures I’ve seen look like it’s Extremely heavy on sauce. Like sauce showing more than toppings.
They all look so yummy! I can't wait to use the gift card I won to Gatlinburg Pizzeria from your Christmas giveaway! (Thanks again for your generosity) We are saving it for a pizza party when our friends come to visit later this month! Definitely going to det some of those knots!!!
Before I started watching this video I knew West By God was going to be your families #1 pick. Still waiting to be in the area in July to give this spot another try. But the #2 spot and #3 spot I'm going to be checking out as well.
Great list. Good to see Pizza at the Cove on there. Great little shop. Had one bad pizza from there, but has been great otherwise. Finally a top 5 restaurant list where I've actually tried every one of these! :)
I'd have to try Smoky Mountain Brewery first. The crust reminds me of the times my grand girl and I would make chef boyardee pizza's.. She always enjoys spreading the sauce (I use a full can) and toppings with pepperonis and mushrooms. She'd run me broke with all the cheese she would add !!😄 Great job with the video.
For the first time ever I am going to have to disagree with you. 😩 We were not impressed with the smoky mountain brewery at all. Every single aspect of our experience was lousy. I don’t enjoy paying hard earned money for a sub par meal. I do love you guys and your videos though! I really appreciate all of your reviews! Looking forward to our next trip and will definitely try one of your top 2 recommendations as we love pizza!
after a little more searching I found that the first modern-style pizzeria in America was opened in New York City's Little Italy by Gennaro Lombardi, an Italian Immigrant in 1905. The pizzas were coal-fired and modeled after those made in Italy. It wasn't until nearly 30 years later that a pizzeria opened in Chicago- Granato’s on Taylor Street. They started wood-firing their pizzas to set themselves apart from the already-established coal-fired pizzas. Deep dish followed in the 40's- Pizzeria Uno.
You should do a top 5 best Buffalo/ Hot wings. That would be awesome.
That would be cool. We are thinking about doing specific food items
They all look great SMF. I love good pizza. Thanks for sharing guys

Hahaha I knew which one would be the number one before even starting it. Guess I have watched too many food reviews in the Smokies huh ;)
Completely agree WBG is best- we went there twice last week!
We enjoy Big Daddy's as well. Would be in our top 3 or 4. Tried West By God last month and really enjoyed it too.
Good video 😅 with lots of good Pizzas 😊

Americanized? They were actually invented in Chicago.
What was invented in Chicago?
@@SmokyMountainFamily Pizza
And all this time I thought it was invented by Raffaele Esposito in Naples, Italy in the 1800's.....
@@SmokyMountainFamily That was more like a sandwich with a single slice of bread. What we know of as a pizza came from Chicago.
