Really engaging review. I was on the fence about buying this seeing as I enjoyed WD2 a LOT, but guess I'll wait for a bigger price drop. I'm really becoming disillusioned with Ubisoft games, not that I was ever that crazy about them to begin with. On a side note, it's interesting how you mentioned that it's really easy to escape the cops because I remember that shit being DIFFICULT in WD1. Anyway, subbed!
That intro. I can't breathe. It hurts to laugh this much. I was there at the micro-drone section. I honestly remember more about the random shit talking chat was doing than the actual gameplay in that section.
Ubishit formula: Go to an area, Kill an dumb Npc, Recent Bugs , Trash online, Racist jokes , Remove old mechanics, Unlikable Characters Microtransactions and thats sound like modern ubishit
I like the mechanics in this game, but for me the BIG problem is the setting. London is so fucking boring as an open world, it is all the same...imagine this with an usa setting,, that would be amazing
@@atas2561 it's all too similar. It all looks the same plus it's depressing. Wd2 was diverse with countryside and city plus it was sunny and nice to explore
Late to the video, but a spot on review. I felt like utter shit after playing and completing this game, I went back to WD1 and WD2 and can’t understand what they were thinking when they made this game.
I'm with ya. Not many of us liked it but I really liked it! I actually preferred the story and characters in 1 but liked the other parts in 2. Legion is nothing compared to those two
I'm just going to put this out there before I even watch the video. I've been playing Legion for about close to 10 hours now and it hasn't even come close to the dull, slogging, boring, and unbelievably unmemorable dissapointment that is the original Watch Dogs game.
I mean as much as ubisoft gets shit for the ubisoft formula they still put out unique games to the side its just all their biggest ones are mostly the same we still have the rayman games we still got shit like grow home and grow up we still got trackmanica ect evt
WD1 I like because we can do bike jump's, car jump's , bomb jump's, helicopter glitches etc etc etc in online we have improvised with these awesome glitches in WD1. But 2 forget it but as for legion we can't even drive a dam vehicle correctly plus the voices are ridiculous
the firs one was okay, the second one was good, I was hoping the third one would be awesome but I hated it to the point that I didn't even bother to finish it
*I actually really enjoyed the open world aspect of the game. customizing your gang, Deep Profiling cops and gang members, stalking and K'ing their relatives, creating rivalries and enemies that randomly pop up in the street....it played like a true Mafia simulator, got a good 200 hours out of it* 👍👍👍
I don't get why Ubisoft is even trying to advertise the Watch Dogs IP that badly and throw IP's like Splinter Cell and HAWX to the wayside and halfassing the remake of Sands of Time. I'd even settle for an UbiArt game. Why are they trying to make Watch Dogs a thing anyway?
The game really just felt soulless and boring compared to watch dogs 1 and 2 tbh. The play as anyone mechanic was a cool idea but really hurt the feel of the game without having a defined protagonist and there was no option to just use one because you would be locked to that operators arsenal the entire game and when you die, you're forced to switch operators
@@denissssss8579 Haven't. Only thing I've finished is bloodlines, but I did get a good bit through the campaign, enough to know I personally didn't like the game
This isn't worth half price and Ubisoft delay this and Assassin's creed game, how this would look like if they didn't.I'm glad I'm one year behind,at least games become cheaper and less buggy.
Honestly the limitations in hacking make sense, if everyone had the same hacking skills or abilities then “Play As Anyone” would be kinda nerfed. I feel like they’ll add those features as Perks or Operators with those features, like Aiden Pearce. All of these bugs and what not will be smoothed out, this has to be Ubisofts most ambitious game in years. And after the shit show that was wildlands, which was the reason Legion was delayed twice, I’m sure Ubisoft will be listening to feedback. Especially with the Online mode coming in Dec 3rd. I’m sure they’re gonna want to make the game as fun and enjoyable as possible, apparently as of this comment Wildlands was fixed and removed all of the features that made the game hated and made those features Optional and has given the player more freedom. I say just give it time, don’t let a review ruin your hope for a game. I enjoyed it, but know Legion needs more work.
I played the game and did every mission. And i love it, while at the moment not above in first 2. If the post launch content both paid and free does a good enough job. Legion has the potential to be the best watch dogs game so far. Sure some issue cant be helped. The voice work and most graphics. But while stunning graphics is nice. I dont find it mandatory. I found some pretty decent voices on characters so i feel like it's the trick to find those (Or play as aiden pearce and wrench once they release) So yeah a game i enjoyed a lot but needs some more content. (Free missions are confirmed so that's a step in the right direction)
@@nicktb1999 Exactly, I’m gonna take a hiatus off of it and maybe play like Once or Twice a week just to avoid rust until the Online comes out. I cant wait to see how that turns out

Wich beings back aiden from the first game in a stand alone story along side wrench and both can be played in the main story too. So that's is something i want to do with new game plus. (I hope for a create a mission option where players can create their own missions and suchm wich i believe would help with replay value since every one can create a mission and give content to enjoy to others. But that's wishfull thinking
@@nicktb1999 that actually sounds fun, as far as the Custom Missions. They added that to Wildlands I think? I’m just here to see what will be of Bloodline, and whatever other expansion they’ll bring after, the post launch updates, and online updates What platform do you play on?

Ubisoft doesn't have ideas. They have reactions. They react to major complaints, and if players say they like something... its gonna be in EVERY game. 9 times out of 10 their reaction ruins the next game. Look at what happened to Far Cry. Oh we loved Boomer, best companion in the series. Ubisoft: OK so more rediculous animal companions then. How bout a crocodile? There isn't enough weapon variety... we end up using a silenced LMG the whole game. Ubisoft: So preposterous niche weapons, situation-specific ammo, bullet sponge enemies. Gotcha. Everyone said Watchdogs 2 was decent but man those protaginists were cringe AF. And why were we stuck playing as just 1 of them. GTA has 3. Ubisoft: Ok then, no protagonist. Every NPC is playable. Wow the hacks really make gameplay interesting. Love the drones. Ubisoft: more lame puzzles. Every mission a drone mission. Gotcha.
My issue was not only the lack of a skill branch to spec with but starting off, all characters only get 2 gadgets. It made the game very bland and having to constantly switch gear was dumb. The characters was definitely appalling. They all look like they copy and pasted Alloy's face from horizon zero dawn. It was a cool idea but absolutely terrible execution. Personally I loved both watch dogs 1 and 2. Legion is an embarrassment to the series and should be removed. Ide actually like to see a modder fix this game up and make it fun but unfortunately ubisoft hates fun.
Ubisoft's Pre-Rendered One-Button-Push = Scripted Animation Formula has become lazy and unforgivably repetitive.. I want real Game mechanics, no more of this 'Press X to climb, Press X to run, Press X to Parkour' crap. It's lackluster, mediocre and flat out BORING. 🥱
the "play as anyone" mechanic honestly made me lose interest in the game almost immediately.

The hype for this game was insane but geez it's horrible, same missions over and over, story was pretty dull and the ''play as anyone'' idea is cool but they executed it badly
I'm from London and I do like London but yh it can be quite dull, wish ubisoft would've done more with it but tbh my favourite map ever in a game is wd2's rendition of Sf like if I could choose a game world too live in defo wd2's San Francisco as it was just so thriving walking around listening too the summer vibe music they had and just the general happiness within the characters
Didn’t like the “play as anyone” feature…not having one or a few characters made it so that they all have to personality or grow over the game
You know what? Watch Dogs 1 wasn't all that bad after all.
I never disliked it!
I bought the game and I cannot deny that I enjoyed it, even with all its flaws
That intro. I can't breathe. It hurts to laugh this much.
I was there at the micro-drone section. I honestly remember more about the random shit talking chat was doing than the actual gameplay in that section.
It wouldn't be a sophnar video without the word "excape" XD
You are hilarious, the way you talk and the humour is literally me. Anyway great video and 100% correct about everything.
Ubishit formula: Go to an area, Kill an dumb Npc, Recent Bugs , Trash online, Racist jokes , Remove old mechanics, Unlikable Characters Microtransactions and thats sound like modern ubishit
How is it racist?
I like the mechanics in this game, but for me the BIG problem is the setting. London is so fucking boring as an open world, it is all the same...imagine this with an usa setting,, that would be amazing
London is rather unique in my opinion because many open-world games aren't set in any English cities nowadays.
@@atas2561 it's all too similar. It all looks the same plus it's depressing. Wd2 was diverse with countryside and city plus it was sunny and nice to explore
Wait, did the first game stop existing ??
Late to the video, but a spot on review. I felt like utter shit after playing and completing this game, I went back to WD1 and WD2 and can’t understand what they were thinking when they made this game.
can you do an updated review ? feel like many of these bugs have been patched now.
Game's still trash.
Rating first Watchdog 5.5/10... Lost all credibility at that moment.
I enjoy the watch dogs games theres no other games out there where u get to play as a hacker
I finished the first 2. I dropped leigon. It felt like a shell of a game
“Were the artist on this game tumbler refugees”😭😭😂😂😂😂😂 that’s a sub
I mean as much as ubisoft gets shit for the ubisoft formula they still put out unique games to the side its just all their biggest ones are mostly the same we still have the rayman games we still got shit like grow home and grow up we still got trackmanica ect evt
WD1 I like because we can do bike jump's, car jump's , bomb jump's, helicopter glitches etc etc etc in online we have improvised with these awesome glitches in WD1. But 2 forget it but as for legion we can't even drive a dam vehicle correctly plus the voices are ridiculous
the firs one was okay, the second one was good, I was hoping the third one would be awesome but I hated it to the point that I didn't even bother to finish it
Remember seeing a gameplay video of watch dogs 2, was actually surprised the dialogue didnt bore me like the first game
That last bit with hacking the plane was great
This game was garbage. But these streams were the highlight of a pretty bad week for me, so thanks for the laughs.
I’m English from London and wow those accents are awful
The art was so bad the character went blind LOL!
2:05 I'm going to have nightmares
"The prices can only be summed up as entrapment"
well, that is also to be expected. most games that let you buy currency do that too.
That beyblade music brought back so many memories.
You are doing great. When's the next video coming out? Thumbs Up 👍
WD2 is the pinnacle of the series so far, I got it for free, and I preoredered the original because I was a dweeb hyped gamer
You got me at the end
The game really just felt soulless and boring compared to watch dogs 1 and 2 tbh. The play as anyone mechanic was a cool idea but really hurt the feel of the game without having a defined protagonist and there was no option to just use one because you would be locked to that operators arsenal the entire game and when you die, you're forced to switch operators
Have u finished it yes or no
@@denissssss8579 Haven't. Only thing I've finished is bloodlines, but I did get a good bit through the campaign, enough to know I personally didn't like the game
@@gavinrobinson2270 ok man. I finished it and platinumed it but it’s true. The game is fucking trash and boring man.
Where'd my bike go? :D
You spin me (like a record) would have been a better choice of song for that intro
Tbh I rather have a main protagonist than some random ass npc.
I found some pretty decent voices on characters so i feel like it's the trick to find those
(Or play as aiden pearce and wrench once they release)
So yeah a game i enjoyed a lot but needs some more content. (Free missions are confirmed so that's a step in the right direction)
@@nicktb1999 Exactly, I’m gonna take a hiatus off of it and maybe play like Once or Twice a week just to avoid rust until the Online comes out. I cant wait to see how that turns out
@@itsmjq9391 im just going around for the collectables and then play some other games. Then when online comes out play that with a freind. Maybe help him get some characters he wants.
Then wait for the bloodlines dlc. That's the one thing im most hyped for of the season pass.
I’m just here to see what will be of Bloodline, and whatever other expansion they’ll bring after, the post launch updates, and online updates
What platform do you play on?
@@itsmjq9391 ps4
I dont know if wild lands had it but i believe assasin creed oddesy had it
Also a easy thing they could add is assassination contracts where you need to track down a target with rng difficulty and such. Simple yet adds a reply value besides 404 contracts that you can redo for some eto (and there are hitman you can recruit so they fit perfectly)
Gotcha.
The thing I honestly hate the most is the lack of onfoot music
boom! -> subscribed. Great effort and great review.
Ending was...bold. Most people would chiken out to use this. Respect.
5:46 to be fair this isn''t ubisoft's fault
That ending though
Ubisoft's Pre-Rendered One-Button-Push = Scripted Animation Formula has become lazy and unforgivably repetitive.. I want real Game mechanics, no more of this 'Press X to climb, Press X to run, Press X to Parkour' crap. It's lackluster, mediocre and flat out BORING. 🥱
2:51 I'm legally blind!
I picked up the game on sale and honestly, it's kind of meh. The spy and hitman are the only classes I found somewhat useful.
I dont get it, how many years of exp ubisoft need to make decent watchdogs game and normal driving mehanics
