My favorite detail that makes this whole video is how you kept the integral moment of the source, where after the owner uses his cat to impersonate a machine gun, he smiles, hugs the cat, and starts petting it, so Gloria doing the same just empathizes that, just like the guy in the original, even though she's not above using Litten for a laugh at its expense, she still genuinely loves her kitty. Incineroar doing the same to her isn't just a bit of payback, that's how it has learned to express affection. It's only a few seconds of body language, but the way it summarizes an entire relationship history as is incredible as it is heartwarming.

Pokemon are pretty intelligent, so I'd imagine they pick up on their Trainer's mannerisms quite quickly, especially if they're very close. It's just they know their Trainer used to do this with them to play, and they want to in turn show that same care and affection, but they don't fully understand that in the reverse it doesn't really work the same.

I love it when a pokemon keeps their personality through evolution and doesn't become a completely different creature, they're the same creature they gotta stay at least relatively similar. I mean even when we become teenagers and adults and develop, we are the same people just improved.
tbh I wish indigo league charmander was more like that, he starts out all sweet and greatful that Ash saved its like and took better care of it, but then it evolves into chameleon and it just fucking resents ash for no reason, constantly ignoring him even during battles often leading to its own loss, and constantly attacking ash for no reason, and it stayed like that even as charizard until one episode, like during halfway through the actual pokemon league, it just has a sudden change of heart and just remember that Ash was nothing but nice to it, and it was loved ash when it was a charmander but then just hated him for no reason and the immediately undoes that. it still lost the league and was only kind again for like 5 episodes. ash wouldn't win the league for Nother 20 years
Incineroar is specifically a Heel- as in, they play up the vibe of being a bad guy. So they're an exceptional case. But its a bit problematic in Japan, as Dark IS basically the Evil type

Given the way it snaps from positions, its most likely a bodygroup (a kind of toggle, which can't normally be animated in a single shot, but there is a mod you can get that adds sliders for bodygroups, but it doesn't add smooth animation, it just snaps between each layer.) Or the slider for the eyes only uses the built in eye textures for the model, so it could just be hiding/showing the different eye preset layers. A similar thing is done on MMD models, especially for the pokemon models. They just hide 1 facial layer and load another for each expression.
