GDay Garry. Thank you for the comments, it’s Very much appreciated. Glad you got something out of it. We’re off in less than 2 weeks to another epic location. If you follow us on instagram or Facebook we will be posting as we travel before any videos come out. 🤠👍🍺
Hi Mike. Thanks for watching and commenting. It took a bit of time to get it all done. We’re off again on the 26 of this month. Follow us on instagram as we post as we go. See a bit before I get home and edit the vids. Cheers.
Thanks for taking so much of your precious time to help others. I know first hand how hard it is. We are gong to Cape York in Aug 2023. Your video provides comprehensive information that we must know. Thanks again.
Hey Marcus as most other viewer's have already said this is the best, most informative OTT video on UA-cam hands down. Great job 👏. I love watching your vids as you keep it real, no BS. Great work and I can't wait until the next one drops. Cheers 🍻 Paul 👍
Gday Paul. Thanks for the nice comments. Always appreciated. I’m glad you got something out of it. We head off in just over a week for another Epic trip. See our progress on the trip before it makes it to UA-cam on instagram and Facebook if you’re interested. Cheers mate. 🤙🤠🍺
mate, what a fantastic video. we are preparing a trip to the cape so i have watched a lot of videos.. and yours is definitely one of the best if not the best ! Great content thanks a lot for sharijg your experience
Hi Mark. Yeah mate packing ready for the next trip. Follow my instagram page to see posts in real time before the videos. We Leave on the 26th this month. Cheers mate.
A very well presented video Marcus - particularly the summary of each of the creek crossings. We've written down your advice for each one and will take it on our July trip to the Cape. You went through a lot of water but only bonnet deep stuff a few times. I have a y62 and don't want to ruin its looks with a snorkel - for those momentary deep bits, would I get away with using a poly tarp strung across the front of the car? Thanks.
Hi mate. I wouldn’t risk it personally. I have seen 4WDs do the OTT without one, but I’d certainly not recommend it. I’m no expert but the risk could cost you a lot. Good luck, have fun and glad you got something out of my video. Cheers. Marcus.
Hi mate. Any basic recovery kit will be fine. Regarding spares, I only take a belt and spare air filter. I’m not one of those guys who has a comprehensive stock of everything. Just make sure your vehicle has been serviced and looked at prior to your trip. You’ll have a blast. It’s awesome up there.
Tkx guys, really appreciate your (and other) efforts to share personal experiences for this trip, It all goes into my notes for when I'm able to do it 👍 Hey others have mentioned "Scrubby Creek is a couple km after start of the Nth OTT, is deep and brown but has a bypass on RHS". Was it a non-event or did you have a little nap? 😆
Hey mate, fantastic vid mate, my fam are going up next year, it's a great help 👍👍👍 are you aloud to have dogs up there? we are not sure, cause we would like to take ours ,any way cool video 👍👍👍
Great video thanks for sharing mate looks like you had a great time. One question , do you think the OTT is doable on your own (with a partner)? Cheers.
Hi Malcolm, Thanks for watching mate. 100% you could. No dramas. You’ll have a ball and make the best memories. Lots of couples doing the track. There’s always people around to lend a hand if you need it. Now get going! 😂
@@searching4adventure haha love it! to be fair I did the OTT with a bullbar but without a winch. I luckily didn't need one but completely agree that it should be essential. This was a great video. Diff breathers are an underrated mod. For first timers, extra care should be taken to ensure air intake hoses and filter box are sealed to stop dust and water ingress.
You’re correct. I was getting my words tangled. However it follows the route of the Overland Telegraph Line. Most folks will know what I’m talking about hopefully. Thanks for watching. 🤙🤠
That's one of the best information video's l have seen , great job and looking forward to more.

Yeah. I can’t remember Scrubby creek. You might be right, must have nodded off 😂😂. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Hey mate. Thanks for watching. Yes you can have dogs on the OTT. You just can’t take them into National Parks. Cheers. 🤙🤠🍺. Have fun!

How are the mozzies midges
Hi Peter. We didn’t have any real issues at all. Cheers. Thanks for watching.
Bullbar not a neecessity??? where else would you mount a winch?
😂I was waiting for this comment. 100%. I realized this after I’d done the video. Good pick up. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Universal Winch cradle 😀 Ever seen a bullbar on the back of a vehicle? Plenty of people have a rear mounted winch
19 mins 11 seconds I spat my beer out laughing mate 😂😂😂
Yeah mate, thought I’d spice it up and show my personality a bit. Thanks for watching and hope you got something out of it. Cheers. 🍺🤙🍺
Fact check - The sign says “Old Telegraph Track” not Overland Telegraph Track!
You’re correct. I was getting my words tangled. However it follows the route of the Overland Telegraph Line. Most folks will know what I’m talking about hopefully. Thanks for watching. 🤙🤠
@@searching4adventure I knew you went a local 😜
