Been using Niagara now almost three months and is the best decision I've take regarding my phone. New fresh and beautyfull look, minimal but not as much as the others, very cool animations and exclusive functionalities. Give it a try!
Prior to getting a Pixel, I had moved over to Smart Launcher 6 after being a longtime Nova Prime user mainly cause Nova updates were very stagnant and Nova 8 Beta didn't provide enough of an upgrade. Smart Launcher for me is the most polished and feature-rich Launcher I've tried across everything I've tried and I have tried most in this list short of the minimalistic oriented ones that I've never liked.
I agree with you. Smart Launcher 6 has been the best for me. Especially when you can pair it with Icon Pack Studio from the same dev team to get perfect Material you themed icons across all your apps that not any icon pack in the store can theme, and I love that they change color with wallpaper too, not to mention also creating your own icon packs. This, and the option to freely move your widgets down to the pixel on your home screen, has been a game changer for me, and there is just so much you can do with this Launcher and dev team keeps improving it every time with new features like the recently added widget stack, and there is the upcoming weather widget they are working on that looks so good. It's the perfect launcher for me.
I like Smart Launcher 6, my only issue with it is the price. I just want a new folder, but paying either monthly or $26 just doesn't seem worth it. I've mostly just bounced between Niagra and Pixel launcher.
For some reason the smart launcher drains your battery more than the Nova launcher and also tends to heat up your pixel. I have been using the smart launcher for more than a year on my previous now. Now after trying it out I had to migrate.🥲🥲
I've been using Smart Launcher 6 for many years. Actually since Aviate launcher was no more. SL6 was the closest I could find to configure to get a similar layout. SL6 delivers what I want and the one off fee is cheap if you think you will be using the launcher many thousands of times over a year and for many years. Find a launcher that works for you then buy it ads free. Totally worth it. I'd recommend Niagara if you don't have many apps. On my Pixel 4a5g (while I wait for the 7a) I have 212 apps and with SL6 can group which means able to access any app with just 2 taps.
I've been using Niagara for a while now after being a nova pro user for years. Niagara is easily the best launcher available...it's very quick once you get the hang of it and it's design is very clean.
I actually use the Nova 8 Beta, which I find is best with navigation gestures. I love how smooth the experience is, coming close to the stock pixel launcher with its amazing app opening and closing animations. While there are features of action launcher, namely widget stacks, that I wish would be ported to Nova, the gestures on nova make it right for me
Olauncher for me. I've been using Nova for many years but Olauncher is minimalist heaven. I've changed my 5 home screen apps to be represented by single icons. The daily wallpapers are nice as well. It does take a couple of days to get used to but after that there's no going back. And it's free.
As a Linux user, the Microsoft Launcher is actually really fantastic. Those gestures weren't even talked about in this video, and yet they're so, so good. Tap, swipe up, double tap, tap swipe down, pinching... it's great for productivity (no I'm not signed in).
Flow and Lynx launchers are new and fresh approaches to android launchers. Have been using Lynx for a good amount of time, and it supports work profile apps and customisations. Flow is also good for restricting phone use but making it look slick and modern.
I'm using Smart Launcher. Here's why... App Catogories,One UI like Blur effect in app drawer, Fine accurate resizing, One UI like Swipable Smart widgets, better hom screen Gesture animations (for me far better and consistent than nova), Inbuilt launchers widgets and may more
Niagra is definitely the best in my opinion if you love the minimal look. I have my top apps on my home screen, music players show when playing music, and you can still customize your icons. You can even add some widgets. Personally, this is the best option. If you choose a nice shade of a solid color wallaper it looks so clean!
My experience with different launchers may surprise you. I have tried many of them, but now I use Nova Launcher with Ratio's setup method. This combination gives me the best performance and customization options.
just an fyi, make sure to check when the launcher was last updated as many of these launchers arent as maintained by its devs. this excludes Nova Launcher, they are working on v8 and thats in beta (i hear the current stable is buggy on the latest os)
Ever since I got my Oneplus 6 I have used the stock launcher. It is the only one that gives the fluid animations and transitions, It works the fastest. It has all the features I need (including icon packs)
I've been using the new Tabs Launcher. Let's me organize my home-pages in tabs. Its a unique approach that you will either love or hate. I love it because it makes it quick and easy to find what I am looking for.
If you search CPL APK you will get it that way. But as a disclaimer, been using Pixel launcher since I got the 8 pro as the other launchers just loose it on the animations. @@GurudayalSingh-ej6ko
I've been using Nova launcher forever. But on my Samsung tablet I use Win-x launcher to make it look like a PC. On both devices I have Microsoft launcher installed, too, just for the changing wallpaper!
I'm using Smart Laucher 6 and I love the way you can freely move your widgets down to the pixel, the way it integrates with Icon Pack Studio to get all your icons Material You themed including third party apps. It just has so much to offer.
Nova Launcher beta for the bottom-aligned folders. Will also use Niagara. They both get different icon packs. (Bolt for Nova and Verticons for Niagara.)
Used niagara for few months. It is good but sometimes you can't find the new apps because you don't remember the name. And not really good for using widgets.
I really appreciate this, cuz i really wanted the minimalist launcher that i keep getting ads for but im afraid that its spyware/malware, so seeing someone else find some nice safe equivalents are gratifying
I hope hyperion supports duplicate social media accounts. I use 2 facebook ang messenger accounts and puts them all in the homescreen but with hyperion and other launchers, the duplicate account icons don't appear.
My absolute to tos are the ASAP Launcher and sometimes Nova to change it up. It hurts me because ASAP is still by far my favorite but it hasn't gotten an update in years and my Pixel Fold can tell. Dock animations break when I open my foldable. Have to reorientate the device and it fixes it but it's a constant "quirk"
So happy with the regular Pixel launcher for my Pixel 7, But I have the honor pad 8 and am not a fan of Magic UI. I am using Nova launcher which does a nice job. Before launcher is a bit like niagra but I think it is cheaper.
One launcher that I can't believe isn't receiving it's due attention is stario launcher, while it's not perfect.... I've been in love with its minimal design and really useful feature set. If you're reading this comment, do give it a shot! Before this I was a regular user of ratio and niagra, while both are aimed at people looking for minimal launchers, they tend to overdo it just a little bit in my opinion.
Are there options that have a good mix between features and privacy (no data collection)? I like action launchers cover and shutter features but looking for an alternative
When I saw the video my first question was will they bring up at least a disclaimer about the branch analytics acquistiom of Nova for those who haven't kept up with the news? Was disappointed, since it highlighted that the channel isn't really as thorough as I'd like it to be. Even if someone doesn't care about branch it's still a nice thing to know so people can make their own choice with the information at hand. Makes other recommendations not come off as reliable if something like branch is ignored.
Action Launcher has been terribly buggy since the August 2023 update. Freezes constantly and can only be fixed by force stopping or sometimes a full reboot. Disappointing.
Androids are now over powerful... But don't know what developers are doing...most of all launcher looks same or they are boring 😪😪 Earlier launchers were soo unique Stop making simplified launchers no body likes it

Unfortunately most of there launcher essentially makes animation downgrade 😢
