    Nice tour of the flea market and quite an impressive collection of amazing records! You need that UFO Obsession album! I didn't see what the price was, but if you are wondering, it was released during their best years and I think it's their best album even if it doesn't get recognized for being such a great album. Glad you finally got a copy of Rust Never Sleeps, one of my favorite Neil Young albums. I always thought Tommy Bolin did a great job with Deep Purple, it's too bad the band decided to disband after "Come Taste the Band" was released, it was the only DP album Bolin was on since he died shortly after that.

    • @StylusMeetsVinyl
      @StylusMeetsVinyl  Рік тому +2

      I’ll be on the lookout for Obsession Mike. All the prices were on the high side but some really great stuff. I don’t really know Come Taste the Band so I’ll have to watch for it too since I enjoy that Teaser album.

    • @TCatsDeepVinylTraxx
      @TCatsDeepVinylTraxx Рік тому +1

      @@StylusMeetsVinyl Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Come Taste the Band, but I was quite impressed with Bolin's participation in it which I think it is the highlight of the entire album. With that line up that included David Coverdale, they were attempting to incorporate r&b and soul into Deep Purple, but I don't think it worked that well for them, but Bolin is great on the record.

    Yes, I thought prices were ridiculously high. Love Tommy Bolin! I saw him 3 months before he died. I think you got his best album, but the follow-up, Private Eyes is also fantastic! Top 5 guitarist for me. Actually, he replaced the guy, who replaced Joe Walsh in the James Gang. You can hear him on the debut by Moxy - they brought him in to do the guitar solos. I was hoping you grabbed the Lee Michael's, and Mike Harrison albums. Still, you got some nice stuff Chris!

    • @StylusMeetsVinyl
      @StylusMeetsVinyl  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the correction about Bolin and the James Gang. Awesome that you saw him live! So cool. Hopefully it wasn’t the show where he had passed out on his arm the night before and couldn’t play correctly. I remember seeing Teaser very high up in your “most played” spreadsheet. Im not familiar enough with Lee Michaels to buy that one blindly. I think I missed out though, it’s good. And that Mike Harrison went right past me. I love him in Spooky Tooth but didn’t even register that it was him at the time. Good eye Steve. Thanks for stopping by!

    Those flea market prices are outrageous. $25 for a George Thorogood LP, $15 for a Thank God It's Friday soundtrack, these are $2 records. $40 for a $5 Tom Petty album, disgusting... Even $50 for Pink Floyd Umaguma, that is stupidly expensive. Criminal shit. Why shop there?. No bargains 😂... I have had a store for 20 plus years, 30 dealing records, I know what's what. Vintage malls and flea markets appear to be temples of crime.

    • @StylusMeetsVinyl
      @StylusMeetsVinyl  7 місяців тому +1

      I agree with you. Unfortunately for me, I live in a remote area and there is only 1 record store here. The next closest is nearly a 2 hour drive from that. So there’s only one place to shop for records. This flea market is about a 30 minute drive from me and yes, the prices are horrible, but they have a good selection of records. I still like shopping there occasionally to hunt for any deals to be had. There are also other booths there too with records but this one that I show in this video has the best selection of records. Unfortunately when supply is low and demand is increasing, these flea market record sellers can jack up the price and there’s not much we can do about it! Thanks for watching though and for the comment.

    That's an ANTIQUE MALL, not a flea market. Flea markets are outdoors and are made up of people coming in with their things to sell in trucks and cars. And they should be able to accept negotiations on prices. Antique malls are "You want it? That's the price."
