I had a hidden 20 lb chinook take an egg pattern in pocket water on the upper Molalla River, a Willamette trib. Scared the crap outta me when it took the fly, managed to get it in on a four weight, but it took forever. Never underestimate the size of the fish that can come out of skinny water.
FFD, no one likes a show off 😉🙃 Best wishes for a great year's end. ☮ from North Idaho. p.s. took my (visiting) daughter up for an hour today and gave her first Spey case lesson. Very enjoyable.
Impressive fish! And it was where u didn't expect it. As far as I'm concerned, that's the best catch! I enjoyed ur happiness as i felt it too. I enjoy ur videos. God Bless n Fish on! Whopper on in that case!
It was right where it dumps into a lake - walk 50 yards up, and you can step across. Super slow current too, which made it look like pretty boring water
That was a beast!
I was pretty shocked for sure

Good stuff - I bet that was a blast on a 4wt!
@ thankfully it didn’t have many places to go. It was like fighting in a phone booth
That's a beauty! Such a serene looking spot to be fishing too =)
It was!
Fishing is the total experience at any age awesome catch
Thanks!
I still get a kick out of how excited you get. Never lose that.
I get pretty ramped up for sure (always have) - now that I am in my 50's it will never change :)

Thanks Richard - I appreciate that :)) Cheers and FISH-ON!!
Private land = not fished often = big fish.
You have a funny definition of "little creek". Your video makes it look plenty fishy as well.
