I really liked the black and white blazer, it looked so good with the pants, also the schacket from Loft is so pretty. I have never worn faux leather pants, I have always thought they would be to hot.
Great ideas for wearing my faux leather pants. I haven’t been sure how to style them, but this really helps. Thank you for sharing your experience and tips with us.
💟 Yeah for 20K ....that's exciting! Still on the lookout for the right faux leather pants. I have been dressing in a more casual manner lately so waiting for the right one to come along. Very happy to hear you will be styling the classic camel blazer...one of my very favorite fall transition pieces! Thank you kindly! 💟💜💟
I have two pairs of faux leather pants. One is dark brown, and the other is burgundy, and they are my favorite go-to items this winter. Not only are they warmer than all my other pants, but they really elevate outfits I pair with them. I tend to go monochrome with both pairs, as I have matching suede riding boots for both pairs. I wish I had more colors of faux leather pants, but they are hard to find without paying an arm & a leg for them. Both pairs that I have, I found at vintage shops, but they don't look the least bit dated with their slimmer fit, but not so slim as skinny jeans.
Wow! This video was the best one yet!!! I have been wearing faux leather, suede and fur for a very very long time. The outfit you put together featuring the cognac shacket was absolute 🔥. Girlfriend that cognac color looks fabulous on you!!! Out of all the faux leather pieces that I own my favorites are my faux leather joggers and gauchos. I frequently style these pieces with multi color silk and animal print blouses as well as cable knit cardigans and vests. I am definitely a super fan!!! Faux leather is for me what denim is to the rest of the man/womankind. 😆
Same! I have been wearing leather for a long time myself and have a huge collection of leather outfits. I love wearing my leather joggers especially for a casual stroll around the neighborhood or the park. I can relate with your passion for leather as I wear them every single day and I buy new leather items every week. Just last week I had ordered over 30 pairs of leather pants which some are still on its way.
Love this!! I’m 6’1” and just bought a beautiful pair of faux leather flares from Target that are long enough!! Also have a straighter pair. Thanks for the ideas!!
Loved this video. I have several pairs of faux leather pants and have struggled with styling them. You have shown great ideas. They really are a fun addition to my wardrobe. Now I’ll be more confident in wearing them. Thank you!
A good tip I learned from another influencer , anytime you want your legs to look longer keep the shoes as close to the color of your pants as possible.
My favorite outfit was the last one with the denim jacket. I love the way you paired it with the white button down and structured purse. Just great! I don't plan on buying faux leather pants, but think all of these outfits could be used with coated denim pants. Great job, Jamie!
Even though the faux leather pants look great and stylish, I live in Floriduh, so not very practical. Plus, I've had faux leather and real leather pants before and didn't find them very comfortable. Maybe people will disagree but I find the coated jeans a nice alternative for me to wear in place of the faux leather.
Love the ideas. I have both the faux leather straight leg pants as well as the faux leather jeggings, both in black. I found that just about anything I wore for one would also work for the other with the exception of knee high boots. The skinny jeggings slipped into the boots quite nicely and didn't feel bulky and uncomfortable. The pants looked a bit classier and the jeggings looked a bit edgier. Love both looks.
Fun video! I'm pear-shaped lower half so leather pants draw too much attention to my bottom half for my liking. But I love how you look in them! My favorite is that elegant Pine Green blouse with your hair up and heels. That look is perfection for a holiday party, and I hope you get a chance to wear it. Congratulations on 20k! I remember the first video of yours I saw around 2K, I was thinking Jamie's Channel is really going to take off.
Congratulations on 20k!!! I’m hoping 50k is right around the corner 🤩. My favorite outfit was the sweatshirt and combat boots. I’m loving my faux leather trousers and you filled my head with so many great possibilities! I will pull out my knit moto jacket now too. Thank you for another fantastic video.
I just got a pair of faux leather pants (need to shorted them - I’m only 5’ tall). They will anchor my wardrobe for Thanksgiving weekend at a resort. Love them!
I love the pairing of the leather pants with the combat boots. I think that combo would work with any of the top options. Congratulations on 20k! You deserve all of your successes!!
Great styling! I have always been a fan of faux leather and have gone beyond black pants. Style try to think about styling & mixing & matching pieces & colors. Thank you. Glad your channel is doing well.
These pants will round out my fall purchases. I have the new AG and Mother jeans in flare and bootcut…..saved my Nordstrom gift cards for nearly two years (lots of personal issues that kept me home-bound), but your videos have helped me get my mojo back! I even bought some sock booties with heels on Monday. What you do is much more than helping us shop!
Great video! Love the pairing of chocolate brown with black. You hit 2 of my absolute favorite looks...hot pink sweater hoodie with faux leather & the combat boots. I almost slept on the combat & chelsea boot trend. Never did I think I would live in them the way I did last winter in NJ. Also love to experiment with different style faux....the leggings, joggers and pants depending on my mood like the leggings with a shacket or sweater to be big on top and streamlined bottom or joggers with hoodie, seater front tucked or sweatshirt either solid or graphic for a more fun relaxed vibe with sneakers or combat boots. You shared your Target find in the last video which I loved so check out the SPANX faux leather leggings there!! They are like a rubber with a bit of matte shine but for $40 I love these too...elevates a plain sweater or sweatshirt and can give an edgy vibe to a basic.
I loved all the looks! Too many to choose which I liked best: maybe the hot pink hoodie and the black plaid blazer. Would you do another video styling faux leather joggers, please? I have a pair, but can't quite feel confident in my styling choices? Thanks in advance ;)
I love all your outfits and you've given me ideas, as I have a straight leg pair purchased last year and worn only once. Am thinking I need to shorten them, and try with a belt. Have a fine tweed jacket (brown with bronze and black checks), also a cropped Chanel inspired jacket, which I hadn't thought of pairing with the pants. Am now heading to the wardrobe for a try-on session, and may even give your first outfit idea a go, as I have a sporty periwinkle top with a hood which may just work. Thanks Jamie and huge congrats on achieving 20k. Yay!!
@@YourGuideToStyle thanks again Jamie. I think I've finally cracked the code to styling my faux leather pants. I realise I'd been trying too hard to find a pulled together look (perfection), whereas experimenting with a more relaxed style actually works. Updates my look too, and at 72 I'm happy with the that.
Congrats on breaking the 20K mark. I've been wearing leather pants since the 80s. I still have some gorgeous straight pairs which I've updated by shortening them to ankle length. Last night to a book launch, I wore straight dark brown trousers (c. 1990!) with a pale grey Velvet boho style blouse and a dark brown plaid (with blue-grey stripes) Rag & Bone cropped blazer and I felt sensational! Some people will say you can't wear leather after a certain age. I ignore them. I also am a Spanx faux leather/suede trousers and leggings fanatic. I highly recommend the suede flared pants if leather is too shiny/flashy for you. They look real and elegant and are comfy and suck you in! (size up) P.S. Love your green square-necked bodysuit but the link doesn't work for me
I’m a huge fan of vintage leather pants especially from the 80’s and 90’s. I have a huge collection and I have always preferred the genuine leathers over the faux. Just last week I wore my 90’s Vakko leather pants while out shopping and I felt like I was the only person wearing genuine vintage leather while everybody else were wearing faux.
I have two pairs of faux leather trousers waiting to be hemmed, I have to decide what heel height I want to wear with them. They’re a nice change from my faux leather leggings.
I'm still searching for the perfect faux leather pant. Love the first all black look and the last jean jacket look best. Idk if it's the lights, but the pants are coming across a little too shiny on camera and slightly short. I'd love to know how much they stretch if at all.
These are a little shiny but not too bad so it's definitely the lights. The faux leather is always a little shiny and these fit the bill. They are really comfortable and have some give which surprised me because they don't have any stretch according to the label. They are an ankle length straight leg so they are supposed to be a little short. You may want to check out the ones from Loft, they are a little bit more classic. The ones I have on are from Nordstrom and they are great about returns if you want to try them.
A former department of mine once had a quite buttoned-up British manager. Fridays were casual days. While chatting in the hallway one day, here he came, all 6-foot-5 of him, in his REAL leather pants and Doc Martens, squeaking down the hall the entire way. Naturally, much giggling ensued, as it seemed SO out of place for him! 😀 Love those faux leather pants (tho I'd prefer the real thing), but wish the ankle was a bit more narrow. Cute outfits, they all look great on you!
I just watched your end of year video, where you mentioned that the video featuring the oversized blazer wasn’t very popular. I think there are many of us who are just waiting for this trend to pass, oversized, boxy clothes just aren’t flattering. I loved 80s-90s fashion, too, but those 90s blazers were just longer and a bit straighter through the waist, not enormous overall like the current trendy ones. I just look ridiculous in oversized blazers, I’m both on the short side and have a very small frame, head and face - I don’t want to emphasize my pin-head even more! I’ve tried several, and finally decided not to buy this trend. The sizing is tricky, too, I ordered a “Relaxed Fit” one from H&M, I was so excited to find one in all-natural fibers. I sized down to the smallest size I could get, Small, but still there was room for two of me in it. The XS and XXS were longe gone by then. (I normally wear a Large). This obnoxious trend has been going for at least three years now, I hope it dies soon.
I really liked the black and white blazer, it looked so good with the pants, also the schacket from Loft is so pretty. I have never worn faux leather pants, I have always thought they would be to hot.
I love the tweed blazer with the faux leather pants. Some good choices to wear with the pants.
Great ideas for wearing my faux leather pants. I haven’t been sure how to style them, but this really helps. Thank you for sharing your experience and tips with us.
Loved all these looks. I ordered the Nordstrom pants in grey and am waitlisted for the black. The Loft ones run soooooo big!
Oh my you look so beautiful in green!
Oh thank you!
I love my faux leather trousers and wore them a ton on a recent trip to the UK. I need that chocolate shacket.
I love your hair too!! I love all your fashion advice . You’re the best!! Thank you for all you wonderful ideas you’re awesome 🙌💕💕💕💕
Still working on acquiring a pair of faux leather pants. I did recently purchase a faux leather dress that is the bomb!

have you ever worn them during sex?
Just bought online a faux leather skinny jeans and this video came up. Great coincidence

Yes, that is a good tip and I use it as well.

Those leather pants look hot on you. Where do I get them? Abercrombie and fish perhaps?
Thanks! Actually Nordstrom. I linked them in the description.

I luv ur hair
I wish she would tell us her curly hair secrets
Thank you and I hope to have a video this coming month on a hair tutorial!!!!
Awesome ideas for styling black trousers. My medical condituons alowed me to Styled several pants. But loved the paterna ro style @ fall/winter

I love mine but they swish. lol
You have amazing style!

They are a nice change. I like the length mine are which is just above my ankle so I can wear both a heel and a flat with them!
Can i wear flats or an inch heels with it? I don’t wear high heels
At a chubby 67, I’ve tried on a couple of pair but I’ve yet to find the ones I feel comfortable enough in to purchase!
I'm sorry you get that.
I am not into the faux leather pants but all your looks would work with black jeans or pants. I like the pull from the closet.

I have the real thing. They’re so comfortable compared to the faux. The silky lining to the knee makes the diff 😊

Unfortunately I don't think it is going anywhere soon. Thanks for the feedback, I know this is a hard trend for everyone to wear.
“Shacket”?
It's a shirt jacket.
