Unique Fern - Climbing Bird's Nest Fern || Polypodium Polycarpon ||

What an awesome fern! Happy fern friday! Today I'm talking about my Fishtail Fern / Climbing birds nest fern - Polypodium polycarpon 'grandiceps' aka Microsorum punctatum. ... A fern of many names! Reminds me of a charecter from Game of Thrones in that regard. :)
This lovely tropical fern should make for an easy houseplant for those who enjoy plants that to be watered frequently. Though this fern has some drought tolerance it does do best with evenly moist soil and bright indirect light. I think this fern would be an excellent houseplant to mount and hang up on a wall in a bathroom! The foliage is glossy and heavily lobed giving it a wonderful under the sea vibe. ... which for some reason just sounds like something for a bathroom to me. Idk. Overall this houseplant would make a wonderful addition for the home and garden given that it likes the cool and even temperatures found in most homes and for it's a family, I would consider this an easy to grow fern and overall just an easy to grow houseplant. How to grow this houseplant is fairly simple which is always a plus for me! I'm unsure of how common this plant is, I don't see it around often but I think in different regions of the world it has varying popularity. For me and where I live this is a rare plant and made for a fun plant chat!
