Great job there Raley. I’ve had issues with that yellow line as well with ethanol. It either falls apart in the tank or dry rots outside.

Sharpening your way takes to long, use a right angle die grinder with 2” twist lock course abrasive discs and be done in 15 minutes...!

After the possible hundreds of times those plugs were dropped and otherwise mistreated between the manufacturer hands and yours, It's funny how you assume they're still gapped correctly. As a mechanic of many many years, I check every one as about 2/3 are misgapped.
Yes you are absolutely correct. I've been a mechanic over 40 years and no I don't assume I do check them.

Your servicing the machine so why don’t do a good job? Like blowing the debris off of the engine so it can cool properly... its part of standard service ... !
