I started with acrylic painting, and was looking for a video on how to paint a robin. This is amazing!! I didn't think watercolour could look so real and detailed!!
This was wonderful, and thank you Anna. After seeing the quick shot of Robin in black and white, I'm thinking would be a great reference to check back and forth with actual photo. May help guiding eye to the darker areas in retrospect, for areas questionable. Thanks again! 🖌️
This is amazing. Wish I'd seen it before I painted a robin very similar to this one. I didn't know how to get the feathers to look like feathers. Now I do.
Wonderful!!!! I'm in love with your art and style. I was falling in a rut with abstract loose watercolor painting; good exercise, but I really love the more realistic approach. Thanks for your excellent explanations. I have a lot to learn, but I'm getting there....
I'm very new to watercolor and have been looking for this exact tutorial. I'm trying to do a painted bunting but had no clue how to start. thank you for this tutorial. your art looks great.
Hello, Anna. I just wondered which brushes you’re using? I have a Da Vinci micro nova 20/0, but since it has about three hairs, it doesn’t hold much paint 😅
Been teaching for over 14 years and recently got back into watercoloring thanks for the video really helps. By any chance do or does anyone know of any royalty free sites for pictures of birds?
Hi Anna, just found your channel today, (Where have you been all my life!) Love this little bird, So, is it alright if I try to copy it?, (just for me) Just started learning watercolour, (72 now) also signed up for your free art lesson today.
Hi Lizzy, you'll need to join my online School to get access to the full video tutorial which includes full-length videos, a drawing, reference photo and paint mixes etc. You can find out more on this page here: www.annamasonart.com/online-school/ We hope to see you in the School soon! :)
Your school email bounces as undeliverable. I prefer to use Schmincke paints. Whilst you have listed all the W&N paints required for the course work and their pigment numbers it would be very useful to know their Transparency/Opaqueness class and their staining level too. Do you have a list with this detail? I could go through each W&N paint on the Jacksons web site but they often don’t have the correct info about a paint correct.
Allan we don't have a list to share with that level of detail I'm afraid. I haven't felt it necessary to go into that level of technicality. Our School inbox is working and receiving emails so shouldn't be bouncing - the address you need is info@annamasonart.com
