Truly impressed girl! I have watched so many watercolorists on UA-cam and I have to say your style is so refreshing. I love the mix of realism and abstract you put into your paintings. I've been painting since July of last summer, so fairly new at this medium. Watching your videos will be so much fun for me, as I need to move on a bit from what I've been creating. TY so much.
This is the first watercolour video that makes sense to me. Others are too abstract. Im used to drawing realism in graphite and the eyes are always the first thing I draw.
It’s beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video. I don’t know much about painting but I truly enjoyed watching your painting process. The color, the background music and your occasional explanation made this video both educational and relaxing 😅
This is a little gem. I think I would need to see the original you are using for a model, to see what to aim for. Can you post it? Or give a link so I can look it up? (Elizabeth, new Patreon entry). Thank you.
I am new to watercolours and I am so grateful I found your youtube account. Your watercolour style is beautiful and I appreciate the instructions. Thank you for posting your videos!!! I have a question about your painting technique: I see you are able to keep some areas wet/damp for a long period of time. You are able to drop in colour when my paper has long dried out. Is there something you are doing to maintain the wetness, or maybe rewetting the area? Thanks again:)
You can always rewet the paper if you need to. I paint fairly quickly so I don't run into this problem much. But other factors can alter the drying time for example what paper you are using or even where you live
Yes I have painted a number of American Robins. Although I do not have a tutorial of one. You can see my paintings by going to my instagram @painted_wing
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. If your paint dried 4 times, that doesn't mean you did anything wrong. My paint also dries. Try using more water or re-wetting the dried paint so it blends better. I would have to see how you paint in order to help you Best
@@paintedwing IT DOES?! Oh that clarifies a lot... It just looks like you do it all in one go and I was struggling to keep up! I'll give it another go tomorrow. 🤗 Love your vids! :)
@Lowieke yep take your time! I often recommend people to watch me paint to see how I do the process, but then pause the video to catch up and work on things at your own pace.
I subscribed just long enough to say , you shouldn’t have to pull up anything on the phone and look at products , before it will let you move on!!! The tv is locked till you do this

Love it 😀 have you painted an american robin?

Nice
Do you try to take your own pictures of birds etc., for inspiration or from a book or websites or all of them?
I get photos from shutterstock.com. I don't have the gear for bird photography
Hi Painted Wing, please tell me what weight Arches paper you are using - and I presume cold-pressed. Thanks, Meg
Arches coldpress 140 lb
My painting dried 4 times trying to attempt this in real time? What am I doing wrong?
