Given Joel's injury history, I don't know why he is even playing, it makes no sense to me at all.
What’s the issue? Basketball players whether professional or in the neighborhood play all year round. You think playing 15-20 ish minutes a game in the summer is an issue? You want him to do nothing all summer and start back in fall? That’s physically a terrible idea if so. Athletes and professionals train all year long. He will rest when need to, play when not
When a player has a history of injuries like Embiid does, it's wiser to err on the side of caution. @@WawaMarvel

I agree with both, I don't think he should be playing on team usa because he's just coming off meniscus surgery, and he needs to recover before the season starts, I'm sure he's gonna work out and play pick up, but I don't think he should risk the season where the organization just put up millions of dollars to bring players in to try to win a championship this season.

The way I see it, some of those fouls they were just penalizing him for being too big. He also fouled podziemski during their training camp that would've also being flagrant even though it wasn't intentional.

Relax it’s only one game
It happens and can understand since this is his first time so will see. Hope he learns from this and get some experience and being around championship caliber players. Also gotta learn patience or restraint and play the game differently. Dowtin has been impressive along with Bona and Council so Sixers should sign them or look into it. If a player gets waived how difficult is it to return or get resigned since something wasn't right or working. The coaches also gotta rotate or play bench and stop wasting talent or potential talent so will see
It's a good thing Joel doesn't live his life and base his aspirations and career goals on what fans or judgmental people think he's supposed to do.

Dont see how therw are any real fans here. So what he struggled. Really... Joel always struggles after a long stretch from playing ball. Now hes playing with a full team of all stars and hes supposed to excel cause he aint the focal pt of the team. The best part is Joel will come to camp in shale and ready to roll day 1 and not have to play into shape. Hes 1 dude on this team of stars and he'll be fine. Scrutinizing a dude averaging 35 pts last yr is really ridiculous.
