Sorry folks, I've been as big a fan of Embiid as there is. When healthy, he is a joy to watch. But It's become painfully clear that he simply doesn't have the mindset or heart to win big in the NBA. He has no dog in him. Nothing is going to change this season because his mindset is still the same. I blame the Sixers organization for babying him from the moment he entered the league. He is a thirty year old player, so to expect him to change now is foolish to say the least. He is what he is. Period.

Learn discipline or how to apply that to his game and all around. Plus,he does need more self awareness and mental stability or focus or learn differently so he can get better and than show better. This is not a me sport entirely but a we sport and how to balance the two not just be selfish or be negative or try too hard since you have others. Get back to fundamentals and basics and defense before its too late

He's trolling. Prior to this experience, he has spoken about picking other people's brains. At this point, he realizes he will get cooked regardless of what he says. So, he answers how he traditionally answers...he picks the response that will make heads explode. The weird thing is how local media doesn't know this. When current players and coaches are asked about him, their responses are overwhelmingly positive. Opposing fans and media have all the negative opinions. This is disappointing.

Embiid's negative play at the Olympics could be good for the 76ers (sarcasm). His play should embarrass him to get in shape for the season. It shows the 76ers, the type of offense that Embiid does not flourish in. If Embiid can not play well with hall of famers and superstars, the 76ers might reconsider that extension. This was a perfect opportunity for Embiid to improve on his passing, being a part of the pick and roll and not receive the ball and to play aggressively down low at the basket and punish opponents with his size and not shoot fade away jumpers. The sixers will definitely need a rebounding 4.

Heard in the days leading up to the game Joel was battling some sort of illness, so likely affected his game (& likely a major reason he only played 11 minutes) a bit surprised our host here didn't seem to know about this 🤨? Missing all three of the foul shots he took think says a lot about how he was feeling 🤢. Only fair to point out the other USA center Adebayo only scored 4 points (same as Joel) and played almost twice as many minutes (20). Need to remember in their previous game Embiid was 2nd on the team in scoring & deferred on shots often. A bit of a side note, Joel has also seems to be dealing with an injured knee which hasn't had the chance to get better (& likely affecting his conditioning as well). He had a procedure done on his knee cartilage during last season and such injuries have long recovery times. Think he's trying (his best..) to gut it out.
