The scene when she walking with prince gyesong and held the umbrella was so heart warming, and then when she was walking with crown prince under his umbrella made me so happy that i was crying out loud, and even in the end she held an umbrella over her grandson, gesturing that she would always protect him
my favourite among the many, along the ones where she reminds one of her son that in order to receive help he needs to admit he is not fine, and how to forget the scene where the wind blows over, and she finally decides to let go of the hand of her deceased son? she was a mother to all the princes
This song at ending scene of the series where crown prince brings umbrella for his mother was such a heart wrenching it almost brings tears...That unspoken gesture saying now they are all grown up and it's their time to protect her....... Despite watching Under The Queen's Umbrella for the 3rd time, this song playing at the end of Ep.5 after the Crown Prince dies and those series of emotions from the Queen still brings tears to my eyes and goosebumps. Absolutely outstanding masterpiece of an acting and OST.
Kim Hye Soo transformed from a cold judges and lawyers she used to play to a protective mom. The actress that plays the Queen Dowager is cold and ruthless not like Mama Rosa, a caring mom that can play music. I love these two! Both are fierce in their own way.
Not knowing why, after watching the ending of the episode 5 and listening to this song, I suddenly think about all the mothers, fathers or families who lost their child or children during these years.... hope the world will be peaceful and safe again 🙏 ✨️ ❤️ looking forward to the next episode

From another perspective, I interpreted the lyrics of this OST as Prince Seong Nam towards his elder brother, the Crown Prince, who was the person he loved most in his world. Seong Nam had always been waiting for the moments to be with his elder brother. Although he was abandoned by the elderly and adults from the palace and experienced trauma from his family of origin, he was still willing to go back to this traumatic place, only for his beloved brother, only becoz of his love towards him. And now he had passed away. This had become another trauma for Prince Seong Nam. This OST perfectly expressed his grief.
To be correct Seongnam prince was never abandoned, his mother was just powerless and having no choice at that time

From Seongnam's perspective, even now from his inner child's perspective which he may have suppressed, he still felt being abandoned and up to Ep 8, he still hadnt known about the reason behind his mother's powerlessness behind her 'abandonment' of him. From the Queen's perspective, it was not abandonment, but a way to protect her son from danger (I guess the great Queen grandmother wanted to kill Seongnam since he was younger. There must be sth happened which triggered grandma's intention of disliking Seongnam and unanswered, which may be related to Seongnam's curiosity to things and his personality/character. Maybe Seongnam saw something he shouldn't have seen, but was still suppressed into his unconscious at the moment up to ep 8). So let's see XD Moon Sang Min is so charismatic btw xD

I haven't been hooked by a Korean drama series since Jewel in the Palace with so much admiration and attention on it's intelligent storytelling about ancient Korean politics, tradition and culture. But above all these, the unbeatable power of motherhood is the central theme of this drama. Every episode will make your heart melt and break into tears.
This song will always remind me of how beautiful and unforgetable this drama series is.

I loved how this drama portrayed different sides of mothers. It showed love and care of mothers can protect her child from every evil, but also showed how greed and selfishness of mother can ruin everything of child. Queen Im hwa ryeong was a prime example of how a mother should be, and Queen Dowager was a example of how a mother should not be.This drama was perfect historical drama, which shows mothers love in best way possible!
The story of the 5 brothers and the mom is so beautiful. They grown up beautifully thanks to a mom who always guide them towards justice, towards fighting fairly, towards becoming open minded and caring for others even if when they were hurt

This is probably one of the best dramas out there, this make me happy and sad at the same time! The best queen and mother as well as wife! Loosing your child, seeing him getting murdered /dying in front of you and forced to abandoned your other child exactly after you give birth, being afraid of loosing another because it was a sin being gay at that time is truly heartbroken and also those days kings and officials having wives are just🗿..
We don’t know if the 4th child is gay just that he likes being feminine. Some straight men like being more feminine. One doesn’t always equal the other. But yes even just being feminine was bad.
