I would love to buy a tuk-tuk for my Ford maverick pick up! But with all the ads and things you would want to add to it, it would be $30,000 which is Way above my price point.
I would love to buy one, but I don’t think it’s worth the money.
I always laugh that the jacks are an option on these campers. How the heck would you get it on and off the camper without jacks? A forklift? Ridiculous; they just do them as an option to keep the ‘base’ price low to get you looking at it at the hopes you’ll just shrug off the cost of the stupid jacks not being included but required for the campers function.

Wow, the jackup on the price is insane! What happened to the Dickerson Propane Heater? Also, save yourself a few hundred, the Lifesaver Jerry can goes for about $299... sad, with options, the price almost doubles!👎
And the sale price states $34,373!
Found one for sale in Canada today same options (thats pretty much loaded) there asking 44,000 Canadian, if you include the price of a new loaded Maverick (i own a 2022 currently)thats another 44,000. Im looking at a new AWD 350 Transit high roof cargo van and its 72,000 and If you add 10,000 for basic DIY build ,solar generator, diesel heater,roof fan and a couple of windows, fridge, even a toilette you still have money left over. I think the Scout is kinda cool and could be fun but thats just stupid money.
A Transit van is the biggest pile of junk on the road.
I don't think you're too far off, but I bet you'd need more than $10k for even a modest build out in today's world :\
The van build lives as long as the van runs. The truck camper can move to a new truck when it’s time.

Awesome video! Thanks for the detailed walk through. Are you able to mount a roof rack system to the Tuktut? I know right now it can’t be optioned from the factory with Scouts gear ready roof rack. But are there other options?
Correct, the factory doesn’t offer a roof rack option. I searched far and wide to see if there was a forum out there or aftermarket solution and have yet to find anything. Looks like for now the answer is no unless you jerry rig it yourself
@@ParkersPOV looks like Yakima racks does custom installs on fiberglass and metal rigs so they could probably do it. Juniper Overland confirmed they could do a custom install. So I think it’s possible!

Good question. If you go on their website and select the options it’ll give you a total weight
All the options in the world won't salvage this costly piece of junk.
Are you able to swap out the skylight for a roof mounted ac?
No you cannot unfortunately. Maybe aftermarket but not from factory
Is there a black out cover for the skylight?
Or a bug screen?
There are aftermarket options that’ll work
Can you mount solar panels on the roof?
Yes you can but not straight from the factory
I could have sworn I saw this model come with roof mounted solar from the factory (Scout).
@ParkersPOV I just checked on Scouts website this model comes with solar as an option.

IT'S JUST TOO BASIC and uncomfortable-looking. I understand the concept behind this design, but come on, it's just a hard-sided tent. They could have added another few inches to the height. Anyone over 5' 9" with shoes on will bump their head. Their design team really dropped the ball on that. Otherwise, it's really a very nice, ah...whatever.
Way over priced. I wasted my time watching this
