Four years ago when I first spoke with Grant Hall the CEO of NUVYYO cord cutting was growing fast. But now it’s almost unstoppable. The industry lost more than 1 million pay TV subscribers in the first quarter of 2019, after 3.2 million subscribers cut the cable through all of 2018.
The one thing holding many people back from cutting the cable was not having the DVR supplied by the cable companies to record your shows with an easy programming guide interface.
Important distinction people need to keep in mind. Often when you hear the debate whether it’s worth cutting cable because of the cost of streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, youtubeTV. BUT this doesn’t apply to Tablo. After you buy a Tablo receiver you don’t have to subscribe to a streaming service because it picks up free TV from an antenna. Which includes the networks and dozens of digital channels for free.

I am dropping the TiVo's Bolt for not picking up any channel's in my area, the Metro-East of St. Louis for the last 4 to 5 months. Since I rerouted the Clearstream 4V to my Vizio E-65, F-1, I now now have all my channel's back. I'm switching to the Tablo Quad as soon as I can save up for it and the life time subscription.
