I do feel that way about flashlights. I would like to see all the flashlights come with a USB-C port. But for something like this, 80% of the time I leave it in the same spot, I don’t mind the proprietary charger. But adding a USB-C port would never hurt on this.
I thought they played music. The lights just change to music. Not much of a step from the old orb, I guess its small steps and that will be the next addition
You know that’s a good question. I’ve never really thought about that. A lot of mine I leave stationary and just keep them on a charger. I may have to test that out soon.
I don't know about the Sphere, but for a couple Obulbs I had trouble with them being dead when I wanted to use them. So I locked them out, until I wanted to use them. They kept their charge much longer. I recall hearing about previous Obulbs that in the ones that had such connectivity, the Bluetooth would shut off after a while to save battery life. Still that is a drain you can avoid, unless you are using them frequently. Remember with respect to the small lanterns that have the switch that lights up if you jostle it so you can find them, that takes power too. So I lock them out, unless I want to use them. They maintain their charge for a long time that way. What I have not figured out yet is how to create a group of multiple Spheres in the Olight app so one can turn them all on or off at once. There is a tab for group control but I see no way to add to the group. I dimly recall doing this with previous Obulbs in a prior version of the app, but do not see how to do it currently. If you go to Device management in the three dot menu, you can select them, but the only option is to delete, which I do NOT want to do. Sigh.
Why would anyone get one of these? What are the practical uses? Getting dressed inside your camper....in the dark.....ok. What else? If it were brighter I would absolutely get one for lighting dark areas so that I can see to set up lighting on film sets. Lighting an area without having to set up an overhead light to see would be nice. But 75 lumens isn't going to do much for me. Also, what distance is that rating at? 0.5 meter? 1 meter?
I don’t have any dogs to test that out with 🤣. But they release a pets and paws edition Arkfeld Pro on the latest sale. It has some dogs and cats on it, and every one sold five dollars is donated to a local shelter.
@@stevesgear No no,.. I'm saying I Literally Have Dog Toys Like That ! They are rubber. You squeeze them to turn on and off. And for different colors and flashing or not. And they run on button cell batteries. AND THEY ARE LIKE A DECADE OLD 🤣 So, this just strikes me as funny. And I got a dollar, those you have aren't near as Durable 😏 🐕🦺 🤣
Proprietary charger... Cute, but the honeymoon was short

Yeah, I get the magnetic bottom because you can attach it to metal stuff, and the oring carabiner clip. But I really like the sphere.
Magnificent pocket orb, how many spells does it hold?

Did this sphere come with the charger? I ordered one and it came with everything except the charger. Is that normal?
I got one of these free through the app. I am looking forward to see how it compares to the older obulb. Great video.
Thank you! I’m sure you will like it. The price is the best.
Cool score..great video
Thanks bud!
There’s Ann app besides Olight? You don’t explain what app to put in. 🤷🏼♂️ maybe I didn’t here it twice but what app exactly are we downloading
Do they stay in standby for the light app? (battery drain?)
