Always sad seeing DSMs in junkyards. At least that was a 1.8, but still sad. Not many left out there. I knew this day was coming! 😭

I've owned a 1G since 2014. Not once have I found one in a junkyard
Looove that MR2, though the blue interior is not my fav version they made. Too bad it's so far gone. They have a super unique feel inside the cockpit.

I’ve never driven a 1g mr2, hurry up and get yours going and the eclipse so I can justify an almost cross country trip lol

I’d love it for my car if it would fit. Gm shift knobs are weird though (like my slowstice) but if you want it I’ll probably go back next week and nab it. Might take the shift linkage with it 😂
I’d like to figure out if I can put those jag seats in the eclipse so I can have a GSX-J 😂

They are sitting next to my evo 1 hang on ill go check. I live like 20 minutes from the gap lol
They are grey cloth with that super 90s checker type design. I have pictures if theres a good way to contact you. They need cleaned but in really good shape

Poor little 1.8.... I had one just like it (kidding it wasn’t driven into the ground) and it was actually pretty fun for 98 hp.
Neil Bullock my first beater was $500 Orange 83 5 speed Ford Escort world rally edition. It had blown head so we fixed it new clutch etc.. I put 50k miles on it and 42k of it were offroad in every terrain possible including mud pits lol. Go really fast , and hope like hell momentum and redlining it carry you thru 😂🤣😋
Old beater cars like that are the best! They might be terrible but man they grow on you and make some crazy memories. When I had my 1.8 in high school we fit 6 people in it to go see a movie. The hard part was arranging everyone in the back around my obnoxiously loud speaker box 😅
