I watched him record the song "I Can't Tell You Why" with the other hitmakers in the group. I could see he was shy and feel his gentle spirit in that song. Beautiful voice, Beautiful man. If I could time travel, I would fall in love with this man.
Timothy the way you sang I can’t tell you why no one could sang that song with such of feelings and heart . I was a young woman grow up in NYC and now that I am older and hear this song wow I can see your talent and the bands. Thank you for all those beautiful songs you guys are a legend . ❤❤❤❤
I just wanna say THANK YOU for such amazing music , I can remember growing up hearing my family playing EAGLES records... I always loved I CAN'T TELL YOU WHY 💚💯💯💯
I loved his early work on the Poco albums (he replaced Randy Meisner on bass guitar and vocals, who left to join The Eagles). Oddly enough, when Meisner left The Eagles in 1977, Schmit replaced him again. I always noticed his backing vocals credits on my Steely Dan albums (nothing but the best for Becker & Fagen). I first saw him live in Nov. 1988 at Portland's Pine Street Theater, where he and guitarist Dan Dugmore were supporting Warren Zevon. Warren jokingly referred to it as The Apocalyptic Kingston Trio Tour. Man, I was just thrilled to be sitting spitting distance from 3 of my musical heroes!
I married early and never knew many bands (raising kids, jobs, running a house, etc), so now at retirement I’m catching up. Like Eagles work but disgusted with their greed (some of them). Love I can’t tell you why and like TS, I think he’s a good person and of course a wonderful musician.
OMG!!! I LOVE YOU❤ MY FRIEND I have always loved you your voice is the best don't get me wrong I love the eagles but you are the man thankyou for all your music❤😂
Beautiful voice, my friend...:-) Thanks for teaching me how to make a cup out of paper and getting me a drink of water, when I desperately needed it...:-) Waiting in the weeds, as usual....;-)
He's a throat and neck cancer survivor, and he's 76. Did you expect his voice to stay the same? Listen to his most recent solo album, Day By Day, released in 2022. He sounds great. Geez. Lighten up on the negative comments.
Tim Schmit could sing to me ANYTIME! His voice just strokes the heart! ❤❤❤❤
I love him he seems so pure, simple and kind my favorite song is “I can’t tell you why” of all time
Me too. Agree with you 100 percent.

Tim always comes across as being so down-to-earth. His demeanor seems to parallel Randy Meisner, who he replaced, in that respect.................
He is so incredibly humble for being such a rockstar ❤
I liked he honored Randy Meisner (first original Eagle bass guitar player and singer, who passed away last year) .
I can't tell you why .......a beautiful 🎵song ❤❤❤❤❤❤🥳

RIP Tim
Tim is alive and well. ❤
Wtf
Is he talking about "playing it cool"? I have heard one track. He's trying to sound like Kenny Loggins or something. It's ghastly.
How many CARVIN BASS'S Do you own Tim??!? 👍
❤
Did Caroline no with the Beach boys fantastic
I thought his first solo album was one of his best.
You're right. Expando has some great songs on it. He really shines when singing songs he wrote or co-wrote. ❤
Is he Indian by origin?
I think his father was Chilean.
@@andyinoregon okay
He has a song called "White Boy from Sacramento" which pretty much sums up who he is. He's as American as apple pie.
CLINT EASTWOOD
Listen to what the cocaine did to his speaking voice. He almost sounds like a 13 year old kid! 🤣🤣
